Can’t believe how much vaping was aging me
I’ve been a heavy user of carts for a few years and have been trying to quit. I’ve managed a few long breaks (longest was about 10 weeks) but have slipped a few times. I’m currently 3 weeks THC free after ~2 months of heavy all-day-every-day use.
I’m turning 30 this year & I’m used to people thinking I’m younger than I am, it’s been happening since I was a kid. But I’ve been stressed as hell about how I look this year. It felt like I was aging at a rapid rate & I thought it was genetics catching up to me. My skin looked awful (I’ve been dealing with the worst acne I’ve ever experienced), my hair has been dry and frizzy. But it was more than that too. Not sure what exactly, I just felt like I looked old and haggard. Like the lines on my face were more pronounced.
THREE WEEKS LATER and holy shit. Yesterday was the first time in a long time I’ve looked in the mirror and didn’t feel dread about what I saw. I look so much better😭 My skin is FINALLY clearing up, the dark circles under my eyes are gone & overall I feel I look younger and brighter. Just applying my face sunscreen yesterday I was poking my cheeks bc of how supple the skin felt.
It’s just insane to me how much it was actually affecting how I looked (and also how I perceived myself). I felt like a stranger & hated myself for it.
Anyway, just posting this to remind myself not to go to the dispensary today.
