We know it's going to affect us. We also know that there's little we can do about it anyway, because you made this happen. You were ecstatic to see other people being hurt by this administration, but now it's your turn it's all poor me, how can this happen to me, you know this will hurt you too!

You'll have to excuse my total lack of sympathy on this one.

Edit: Also, you want liberals to bail you out of a bad situation you created for yourselves? Where's your sense of personal responsibility?

59

u/That_Trapper_guy 1d ago

Where's your bootstraps? Don't come begging for mine!

40

u/seejordan3 1d ago

Farmers are subsidized almost as much as gas.

21

u/ForeverStella 1d ago

and they receive USDA payments without regard for their wealth or amount of money they make while USDA food stamp receipts can make more than the poverty level.

14

u/fariasrv 1d ago

More, actually.

u/Jdevil-1976 20h ago

1.6 trillion since 1933. adjusted for inflation, that's 17.4 billion annually

From the OG welfare queens...The American Farmer..

“His specialty was alfalfa, and he made a good thing out of not growing any. The government paid him well for every bushel of alfalfa he did not grow. The more alfalfa he did not grow, the more money the government gave him, and he spent every penny he didn't earn on new land to increase the amount of alfalfa he did not produce. Major Major's father worked without rest at not growing alfalfa. On long winter evenings he remained indoors and did not mend harness, and he sprang out of bed at the crack of noon every day just to make certain that the chores would not be done. He invested in land wisely and soon was not growing more alfalfa than any other man in the county. Neighbours sought him out for advice on all subjects, for he had made much money and was therefore wise. “As ye sow, so shall ye reap,” he counselled one and all, and everyone said “Amen.”

u/StatisticallySassy17 1d ago

I think a lot of us who knew it would happen, will also be ok. We tend to be more educated and earn more money. We'll be able to ride through this crappery.

2

u/PeyredB 18h ago

Yes, we said look, this will affect you worse than us - and they said HAHA suckit, Libs!!

10

u/Practical_Chemtrail 1d ago

It’s truly amazing how people can separate their actions from the consequences that follow when they have the powerful incentive of getting to ‘win’ and ‘own’ those whose lifestyles they don’t ‘approve’ of.

5

u/Gsgunboy 1d ago

We also knew things like this would happen. Maybe not exactly this prediction. But so many people warned folks to not vote for Trump precisely to prevent shit like this from happening. So to then vote for it despite being told these things would happen is essentially getting what you voted for. They can say “we didn’t believe you then.” Or “we refused to believe you.” But they can’t pretend this very scenario wasn’t out there as potential consequence from voting for Trump.

u/Agitated_Newt_7655 23h ago

Conservatives won’t about ICE until a federal gun is pointed in their face too.

Starve Red Hat

31

u/mykepagan 1d ago

Obligatory 🥲 from Red Hat (the community-based open source software company that is best known for its Linux distro). 15 years ago I never would have thought I’d have explain “No, not THAT kind of Red Hat” to my acquaintances.

13

u/KaijuDesk 1d ago

A tip of the fedora my fellow shadowman!

9

u/Upset-Working-8198 1d ago

They will get another big government handout

11

u/No-Condition965 1d ago

Right before the mid terms. I agree More welfare for those who are against anyone else getting any help. Sickens me

5

u/Aggravating_Pop3180 16h ago

The hand out will happen for the corporate farms. Those dumb 🍑s they want thier land and every time they enact thier bigotry to gain their votes to steal their land. Dumb 🍑s fall for it every time.

8

u/ultrachrome 1d ago

He's wearing a cowboy hat. Does that count ?

6

u/podman131 21h ago

Well, it used to be a slur "all hat and no cattle",

But Trump is just making it a plain old boring fact.

u/LumpyBuy8447 1d ago

This is so confusing, because those of us that didn’t vote for a dipshit pedophile, did realize how this would affect them. Now we’re supposed to be sorry that we voted in their best interests and they didn’t? What happened to the party of self proclaimed personal responsibility?

44

u/PollutionPatient8261 1d ago

I was literally ALL OVER those fucking farming subreddits 2 years ago trying to warn them. They called me chicken little. Well, how do you like me now??!!

18

u/Imaginary_Creme_8130 1d ago

And they have such short memories. Don’t they remember what this administration (v1) did to farmers? That they had to be bailed out and get taxpayer welfare? Now they’re looking for another round because they make bad decisions? Definition of insanity.

15

u/BadLt58 1d ago

They have the nerve to look down on poor people and label them "welfare queens". LOL

6

u/420thefunnynumber 1d ago

I hope they remember losing everything because im having a great time watching them face the consequences of their decisions.

3

u/seejordan3 1d ago

Who won the last Superbowl is about the extent of GOP memory.

2

u/PeyredB 18h ago

When I was in college my poli sci professor pointed out that the American electorate has a memory of about 2 years, which is why things that happen early in a president's administration have little effect on his chances of reelection. That memory's probably even shorter now, so no, electorally wise, they don't remember it (that is, it doesn't affect their voting decisions).

4

u/Dr_Rev_GregJ_Rock_II 1d ago

Hopefully the sky is falling, so they can feel like they can get anything at all

u/nojelloforme 1d ago

Now we’re supposed to be sorry that we voted in their best interests and they didn’t?

No, no... we're supposed to stop pointing out that they voted for this and feel sorry for them because it effects us too. But you can bet your ass they're never gonna vote for those commie socialist libtards who would have prevented this.

5

u/th3smiling 23h ago

when they say party of self proclaimed responsibility they mean they have it to cast onto others not use it themselves

2

u/sdrawkcabineter 23h ago

Didn't you know?

That party meets yesterday, every day.

30

u/letsmaybetry9296 1d ago

12

u/BrownSugarBare 1d ago

They were cheering when the ship was sinking, they've only just realised they're on the same ship.

33

u/Gonzo_Gonzalo 1d ago

Soooo…If I’m hearing you correctly, and I’d like to think that I am, you are making the rest of us the bad guys because you were stupid enough to vote for a conman turned failed gameshow host. And now, after the YEARS of senseless hatred, we are supposed to forget you did all of it in the first place so we can all move on together?

Honestly, I need you to say it…

‘I was wrong. I screwed up. I’m sorry.’

Say that, and then we can all move on. But know this, none of us will forget what you did. We will always remember that time you sold out your friends, family, and neighbors just so you could feel important. You’ll have to live with that now; not me, you. For a moment, you were the worst of America.

30

u/Accomplished_Gur822 1d ago

"Say that, and then we can all move on."

Speak for yourself, and other like minded individuals. This is not and never will be me.

Jan. 6 was the line in the sand for some of us. Anyone who voted for him after that can fuck off now and forever. I don't care one bit about them, their lives, or their futures.

You are free to act how you want but for some of us, there is absolutely no coming back from this.

18

u/PeyredB 1d ago

Certainly a lot of us learned an important lesson in 2024: these are not well-meaning but misguided individuals. They're not "really ok deep down, just need to be woken up a little". These are hateful people who will see to it that Americans they don't like are hurt and punished, if they can get their way. They don't want what's best for the country; they want what's best for themselves and people who look and think like them, and would like to expel everyone else.

3

u/Gonzo_Gonzalo 1d ago

I hear you, I really do. Believe me, there’s nothing I want more than for every single Trumpanzee to go through their own personal Nuremberg. I’m also not saying that we forgive any of it, however, Germany moved on…and so will we; It’s imperative for our survival as a nation. There has to be a mechanism to rid ourselves of this toxicity with as little collateral as possible. The alternative is, quite literally, catastrophic.

I agree that there is no coming back from this, at least not in the coming decades. But the rebuild has to start somewhere.

3

u/Awkward_Bison_267 1d ago

We tried to move on after the Civil War and yet some of these same assholes still wave Confederate flags. Fuck a rebuild.

2

u/Legitimate-Prize5400 1d ago

I would argue that the problem with the post-war reconstruction was that it failed to rebuild things. The structure of the society wasn't dismantled and rebuilt, it was just allowed to largely continue unchanged. That's what we have to avoid here, we need to deconstruct and entirely rebuild.

“You still haven’t moved on from a half black president whose wife told you to eat a vegetable.”

8

u/mkvgtired 1d ago

For a moment, you were the worst of America.

They still are. They didn't find their moral compass, they are only crying now because they are losing money.

2

u/Gonzo_Gonzalo 1d ago

And we mustn’t forget that, but in the spirit of a truly United States, we have to find common ground somehow.

7

u/mkvgtired 1d ago

These Nazi sympathisers can crawl back under a rock.

2

u/Ok_Door_9720 1d ago

"I was wrong. I screwed up. Since I'm clearly unable to handle the responsibility of voting, I will cancel my registration immediately. I'm sorry"

We can move on when they say that.

22

u/Farucci 1d ago

“You got what you voted for nonsense.” Nope, it’s actually not nonsense, farmer Brown, you actually did get what you voted for.

9

u/Legitimate-Prize5400 1d ago

His response clearly demonstrates that he doesn't understand any aspect of his monumental failure. I hope his farm fails and he loses it. I've cut the meat in my diet by well over half in the last 2 months, both due to ethical arguments against meat, and as a spiteful response to these psychopaths.

4

u/Itsmyloc-nar 1d ago

As a Texan, I’ve been heavily switching my household’s meals to chicken and fish

17

u/FarMagazine9940 1d ago

Call it Karma, call it getting what you give, call it They wanna be selfish fucks and not be held accountable for their actions/decisions…call it what ever you want….they voted for a shit sandwich and are made that they got a shit sandwich. Farmers for the most part have gotten a free ride, they pay undocumented workers shit pay, get a ton of tax breaks and now are huge welfare recipients due to trump’s policies but they don’t want to deal with the consequences they voted for…they sound like young kids that don’t understand why the hot stove keeps buring them

7

u/Dodmeister5000 1d ago

Nothing to argue with there.

14

u/Wayelder 1d ago

‘We don’t care if you…’ bullshit! Youre getting the day you voted for.

15

u/Only_Razzmatazz_4498 1d ago

The voting record however seems to imply that they were more concerned about who was marrying whom, what adults did with their private life, how cities managed themselves, what women did with their bodies, and a bunch of other non-AG related single issue voting they took on. Ok so culture wars do create side effects maybe now it is time to consider what it really is that they want from government.

“Stop pointing fingers…at me! Stop trying to make me realize that I’m the one who screwed up!”

If they’d just admit they were wrong, made a mistake, were duped by a two-bit conman — but they don’t! It’s still our fault for not making them feel better about their 10+ (40+) years of horrific choices.

We know it’s a big deal! That’s why we didn’t vote for this! You voted for this because you’d rather destroy your livelihood, the country, and the planet than vote for someone who wasn’t an idiot and wanted to help others.

And they’d still vote the same way, knowing what they know. That’s the problem.

5

u/Imaginary_Creme_8130 1d ago

Yup. These are the same people who said they’d rather be Russian than vote for a Democrat. And now they’re seeing the country turning into it. These people deep down hate American ideals.

3

Oh I don’t know it seems that if someone wants to be concerned with color, they should first be worried about the color green especially if they voted red .

I suspect the people of these nations are smart enough to figure out that they don't actually need beef to survive and they will turn to other protein sources.

You put bigotry, racism, homophobia and xenophobia ahead of your religion, farms, family and livelihood. You're in no position to lecture anyone about your "importance" to America. You reap what you sow.

6

u/EthanDMatthews 1d ago

This is just them begging loudly for a bailout.

There’s no change of heart. And the second they get bailed out, they’ll double-down on their fanatical devotion to MAGA, Trump, and hatred of everyone who isn’t part of their cult.

Here’s the thing Mr. Farmer, we voted for a better world. You didn’t. Now you are hurting and me and everyone else have no sympathy. You made the choice, you ignored all the proof. You did this to yourself. So when we blame you, you really need to accept it.

5

u/ouchthahurt 1d ago

Golly gosh gee wizz, I voted for a fucking monster three times in a row and now I’m being sodomized. Why me oh Lord?

4

u/_Zeppo_ 1d ago

That "You should be grateful to me for growing your food" argument is complete bullshit. If YOU didn't grow the food someone else would. If they didn't I would.
It's called supply and demand. It's like a car maker saying "If I hadn't made your car you'd have to walk".
No, if you weren't doing it the market share you're filling would be available for someone else to take.
Most farmers and ranchers INHERITED a multi-million dollar business and don't give a fuck about people who didn't. They view hired laborers the way they do cows.

You don't care, if other lean to the left or to the right... Sure, as long as you can sell your crops. But deep inside you despise the left.

3

u/darthgator84 1d ago

It is funny that it all libtard this radical left that on matters that don’t affect them. When it does however, they all of a sudden adopt this ‘hey it doesn’t matter if you’re left or right blah blah blah’. Hmmmmm, how come we’re all of a sudden ‘hey we’re all just Americans’

3

u/BaconSarnie2025 1d ago

Thats a lie. American ranchers don’t feed the world. The UK and EU have banned American beef, because it is raised on feeding stations, and fed antibiotics and growth hormones.

3

u/Wanderingjes 1d ago

They’ll still vote Republican. They never learn

3

u/LabradorDeceiver 1d ago

"We don't care if you lean to the left, lean to the right..."

Translation: We hate you but we'll take your money.

"The American rancher's goal is to make a living, but also to provide the most wholesome, safe protein in the world."

Translation: So we voted for the guy who dismantled the FDA. Screwworm-free beef costs extra.

They think they’re indispensable. “We grow your food, we deserve special treatment!” Except food’s gonna make its way to the shelves regardless. Farms fail, someone will step in to replace them, whether it’s someone bigger or corporate farms buying them out for pennies. That’s capitalism, baby. Either way, the supermarket still gonna be stocked. And as a shopper, I couldn’t care less who grows it.

This asshole pretending he gives two shits what goes in my mouth. This dickhead would feed me rat poison if it put two dollars and federal immunity from prosecution in his pocket.

u/214txdude 1d ago

2

u/Da_Peppercini 1d ago

He voted for his bailouts and his 'frustrations' with America; people are now shopping with their values. Its weird how the farmers suddenly hate capitalism when the Invisible Hand suddenly spurns them for their poor choice of allies, while simultaneously keeping their palms open for hand outs stemming from their own bad decisions.

Fuck this guy.

But also if you want to avoid Trump Presidency 3.0 you’ve got to build a political coalition with former or borderline Trump supporters. That involves some level of dealmaking and too much recrimination isn’t super conducive to that.

They're still going to vote Republican. Owning the libs is more important than owning their farms.

Just watch. The midterms are coming up. The farm belt will still vote solid red.

2

u/Jaded_Fuzzball 22h ago

People like this pastey fat fuck watched as people with bodies like mine were left to bleed out and die without healthcare as a direct result of the policies and judicial appointments of this administration and voted for it again anyway. Go bankrupt and starve with the rest of us. Idgaf.

2

u/Life-Aardvark-7812 21h ago

They say their goal is to feed us but is it? Isn't their goal to plant crops that will return the largest investment and yield?

Alfalfa farmers in my state sell a large amount of their yields out of country (China). That doesn't feed me.

I get tired of their working-class hero schtick, like they aren't in it to make a profit.

2

u/emccm 21h ago

We told them it would affect all of us. They didn’t care. They laughed and called us hysterical while drunk and high on the thought of owning us.

I could care less if you go out of business. I don’t eat meat. You buttered your bread now sleep in it.

Can I get the tabs to that?

US farmers don’t care about feeding anybody, the only thing they care about is making money and maintaining their racist culture.

Accepting some accountability would go a long way. Brow beating and shaming people for being upset with you won't work.

Oh you don't care which way we lean? Funny because I seem to remember other things being said.

Honestly growing up as a white dude in upper class suburban America, politics were genuinely an optional thing to engage in. As I’ve grown older I’ve realized that they aren’t and that for some people there are few things with more impact on their lives than politics. You’d think that farmers would realize how much they are affected by politics when they rely on subsidies, but somehow they are in the same group as I was growing up. Where they think politics are an optional part of life that you don’t have to engage in because they don’t affect you. I’m glad I’ve grown and matured and realized not only that politics affect me, but also to care about other people who politics certainly impact. The fact that these people only care now that they’ve been screwed is such an immature mindset. Like it’s where I was at when I was 18 years old. These are fully grown people who genuinely don’t give a shit that they vote for something that negatively impacts so so many people, just because it doesn’t negatively affect them. I hope this is a wake up call for working class people that the republicans will not look out for them. I’m not in love with Democrats but man is it a better option than what we have now.

The usual “come on guys can’t we all get along” when they’re suffering. Now they get to experience fafo. Choices have consequences and the fact that they voted two and three times for this administration after what happened the first time, just solidifies they damn well didn’t care as long as it wasn’t them.

I live in a rural area in the Midwest.

I know a lot of farmers and ranchers (we just call them
Farmers here, whether they do
Crops, cattle, or both).

I can assure you, they care very much whether you are left or right or red or blue (or gay or straight or trans or not).

Aw, I hope they and their families starve. Anyone that sympathizes with them can also join them in their fight against natural selection.

Fuck no , church is for the mindless idiots that need a book to tell them right from wrong Religion is for one thing, controlling the people. There is no god , read the Ethiopian Bible, there's a reason they are trying to hide it.
