Hello,

I have been living in Madrid for almost 3 years now. I am a female, age 28, engaged and starting a Masters program. I am Mexican-American. I Speak fluent spanish, first generation of my family.

Since being here I have been trying my darndest to create a true friendship. But, they tend to be surface level or the people I make friends with head back to their home country.

I love doing almost everything. I love staying home, being 4.20 friendly, hanging with my cats. Going shopping, getting coffee, reading, writing, getting drunk, going out. Just being a true girly girl. Not just that, but I also love just having someone with me to run errands and things like that. I love all sorts of music, dancing and just being connected with someone.

I've tried making friends but again, they all just feel forced. I made one friend who in the end was a toxic hyper dependent gal. But, I loved having someone to talk to, share clothes with, do our make up, take cute pictures. Talk about random things, you know, womenhood/sisterhood things?

I am an extrovert, but also an introvert extrovert if that makes sense. I have GAD & BPD but in remission. I just yearn for a true friendship. Making friends as an adult has been so soo hard. And also, I notice that some gals are intimidated by me, or become jealous of me. Which in the end I get so sad about because I love humans, women! I am a girls girl through and through. I just want someone to ride for me the same way I do. I know I may be asking for a lot, but I stand 10 toes down on what I need and what I can reciprocate.
