I’m having trouble with finding the right eyeliner for me. It’s as if I lay the eyeliner on too thick. I switched to eyeliner pens and the result has been one line. I noticed my eye creas makes it difficult to.

I don't know why nobody is talking about this. We rightfully complain about products being reformulated and not being as good, the massive price increases and the lack of fun products. Why is nobody complaining about the fact that multiple companies are not currently selling LIPSTICK?!?!?! I was at Shoppers Drugmart today looking for lipstick. There wasn't much. I don't mean a bunch of lipstick was sold out. I mean lipstick was not part of the offerings. Essence is not selling lipstick. Annabelle is not selling lipstick. Revolution is not selling lipstick. Physican's Formula is not selling lipstick. I thibk Rimmel had a small selection. NYX is not selling lipstick. These companies are focusing on things like jelly glosses. Lipstick never stopped being popular. You're lucky if they have a bold liquid lipstick. WHERE IS THE LIPSTICK?!?!?! WTF?!?!?!

i’ve been dealing with a sudden wave of acne the past few weeks, and i’ve been trying to find the cause behind it. i’ve eliminated a few other new products i began using, but now i’m wondering if it is the mac face and body studio radiance foundation. my skin is not normally sensitive to acne, i’ve worn all sorts of foundations, and since i take a hormonal medication specifically to stop acne i’m a bit confused about why this is happening now. i really don’t want it to be this because it’s the best shade match i’ve ever found! but i wanted to ask around and see if anyone else has gotten acne from this to discern if it really is what is triggering mine

I really wanted to try a new hydrating concealer because I have dry under eyes.

I went to Sephora and the employee recommended the kosas concealer.

I was really intrigued by the whole “skincare makeup” vibe of kosas in general so I decided to give it a try.

I bought it in July and I’ve been using it ever since.

I noticed that no matter what I do, how I apply, how i set it, it always creases.

And I’m not talking about creasing after hours of wearing it.

It’s creasing within MINUTES after setting it!

Sometimes it even separates right under my eyes.

I’m really desperate, I don’t want to throw it away because I really enjoy the coverage and texture of it.

My powder is Huda Beauty, and I’ve seen a lot of people on TikTok pairing it with this powder and it looks amazing on them.
I’ve also tried setting it with the Kosas brightening powder.

I just ordered the Charlotte Tilbury pressed powder and I’m waiting to see if it’ll work.

What’s your thoughts and recommendations?

Eyeshadow is some unknown shit tbh

I have fair-light cool skin with a subtle mute olive overtone. I find most cool tones pulled to pink on me so I tried switching to olive foundations and found they pulled too yellow/green, even the ones typically recommended to cool olives (such as about face and lisa eldrige).
I'm wondering if anyone knows any foundations that pull cool but still have that muted slight olivey tone to it that might work for me?
I will also mention I have combo-oily skin so preferably something that can manage my oiliness.

Hello! Im very interested in getting more into makeup but im super clueless about it. Id really prefer cruelty free products but im specifically looking for pasty skin foundations and concealers because when I look they tend to be slightly more orange on my skin tone. Im looking for the stuff that like, makes you look like you have a filter on while not being cake-y, very pore blurring kind of stuff as im aiming for a more porcelain look on myself. I see ad's for them all the time but im asking here because Id prefer actual people telling me whats good and what isn't before sinking my money into something that sucks. I have way too much makeup and nowhere to keep it all. I was looking at those rolling bins, but they’re just ugly. It would be nice if it could be on wheels, but those plastic things just don’t work in my house.

I’m looking for something with shallow drawers, preferably not plastic. Wheels would be nice, but I can live without them. Taller than wide would be nice too. White or wood. Bonus if it looks vintage, antique, or otherwise elegant.

I used to do bigger looks with eyeshadow and stuff (like the last slides), and always love it when I look back. But for some reason I stopped doing heavier makeup and only do liner and glitter when I wanna be fancy. Is it because I subconsciously feel/know I look better with the more natural?

I looooove a dramatic/overdrawn look so it makes me sad I feel like it is too much nowadays :(

I have come to realize they stopped selling the glossier Haloscope this year and i didn't even know. Im so sad. They are on ebay for $100. I have one still and I'm wondering if anyone has kept there's for a long time and what their experience has been. I wear makeup like once or twice a week and sometimes less. I wear it on a bare face with blush and lip product. Im a makeup minimalist.

Has anyone kept their haloscope highlighter stick for longer than the 6 months they recommend? If so for how long? Anyone who kept it a long time notice any changes that made it gross enough to throw away?

I recently sprayed it with alcohol and wiped it down with some fresh tp. I also took the first layer of tp and threw it out so any particles that may have landed on it from general bathroom use wasn't on the tp used to wipe it with.

I'm wondering if I should freeze it. I just love it and I tend to stick to what I know so I'm not wanting to change it. If anyone who is a die hard for this highlighter has any good dupes they could recommend that would also be appreciated. I also lean clean makeup and fragrance free.

I’ve been trying to reconnect with my passion for makeup lately so I’ve decided to try myself to create a different look every day.

A few years ago I absolutely loved doing my makeup and even creating my own looks but I went through a really difficult period of depression that made me stop doing the things I loved, one of those things was doing my makeup, first in a creative way then i stopped doing it at all.

A few weeks ago I finally found that inspiration and motivation again and decided to start over so I invested some money in buying new makeup palettes and getting back into creating.

I’m still starting out by looking for inspiration on pinterest, any feedback or recommendations are welcome.

PRODUCTS USED:

In the first picture i used: Life’s a drag color palette by Lunar Beauty X Manny Mua, shades pageant queen and kiki + liquid liners from amazon, i’m not sure the brand name + Tarte maneater mascara.

In the second picture i used: sheglam lots of lava palette shades abstract and pink clay, the liner is from the like chromatic zone in the shade vertigo + the glitter is from the deliplus mermaid palette + Tarte maneater mascara.

In the third picture I used: MAC art library palette + Blue mascara, i don’t have the shade names but you can tell exactly the ones i used by looking at the palette.

In the fourth picture i used: black and silver shadows from the MAC art library palette and color liners from amazon, the star and under eye glitter is from the deliplus mermaid palette + Tarte maneater mascara.

In the fifth picture I used: The sheglam lots of lava palette shades pink clay and deep thinker, the gold glitter is from the universe palette by deliplus shadow 05 + Tarte maneater mascara.

I'm a uni-aged teen and I do pretty light makeup (no foundation etc.) all things considered. A few years ago I began religiously wearing sunscreen after a summer back in my equatorial home country; I have really pale skin, burn pretty easily and have a history of some weird moles that don't promise a great relationship with UV light skin-cancer wise. Every day I squeeze out 2 teaspoons from my massive 400ml Nivea fast-absorbing protect + moisture 50 spf sunscreen; it works perfectly fine under makeup, though the amount that needs to be used adds up fast.

My questions are:

1. Is it at all bothersome to y'all that most cosmetic sunscreens come in dinky little sizes?

2. What in particular makes you use cosmetic sunscreens more often than regular non-cosmetic ones?

And this is borne out of genuine curiosity here. These sunscreens are dinkier than, like, a pickle.

My under eyes keep caking, even after switching to a different undereye cream and swapping concealers. I only started having this issue maybe 2 months ago. I don’t have an issue w the rest of my face, the only part I struggle with is this.

Currently using tatcha eye cream, tarte color corrector (just a teeny bit), tower 28 concealer, and top it with charlotte tilbury pressed powder. I use a sponge to apply concealer and a brush to apply powder.

I have super light eyebrows despite having dark hair. I have gone between using brunette/brown and taupe pencils, because I'm not sure if I should use lighter or darker based on my skin tone and hair color. What do you guys think/suggest? I need help, please!

I currently use NYX taupe pencil with ELF brown gel but, honestly, most days (like today) I don't do them at all because I feel defeated. I also like the ravie beauty pencil in brown/brunette, I think.

I’ve never had lip filler but multiple people have insisted that not only have I had them filled, but the filler has migrated and that’s why my lips protrude like this (???)

It does make it difficult to choose a good lip liner shade but like is there any way to lessen the appearance of protruding lips or do I just have to work with it

Aquaphor is the best thing for my dry lips (the large tube not the lip one). I wish they did a tinted version. I was thinking of decanting aquaphor into some small pots so I can have aquaphor in all my bags. I then started thinking could mix it with some lipstick to I make a tinted balm? Would it be ok to heat aquaphor to do that? I’d be very interested in hearing from anyone who has tried

Hi everyone! I've recently started taking an interest in eyeshadows and (long story short) I've come across a palette that my mom used when I was 11... And I'm 19 now lmao.

So, the question is: if I use a concealer/foundation as the base and then over it the eyeshadows, would I have any problems? I don't think I would since after all there's a barrier between the skin and the expired product, plus it looks fine (no molding or strange discoloration). But I would still like to check up with anyone that has more experience with this.

It literally has 112 shades (+ random terras that I wouldn't really use though), and as you can imagine I really think it would be a crime to waste them all.

Hi all, I went to buy a new lipstick today only to find that not only have Mac got rid of most of my favourite shades, they’ve actually discontinued my favourite finish! I liked cremesheen because it was balmy and moist but kind of still “stuck” pretty well to your lips so lasted a while. And when it faded it didn’t flake or crack, it just faded generally all over. I hate the feeling of matte lips. So just looking for alternatives and just wondered if anyone can clarify whether Lisa Eldridge’s luxuriously luscent is a similar finish? Or if not, if you know of any good alternatives? Thanks in advance :)
