Norman's goblin formula made him far stronger than any MCU super soldier and yes it has the insanity side effect but it's not guaranteed given Harry didn't become crazy (and MCU super serums also have a similar effect where they enhance bad traits of the subject)

Otto on the other hand created his mechanical arms which are so strong they were evenly matched with Spider-Man wearing the Iron Spider, a suit created by Tony Stark himself

Not to mention both are knowledgeable in nanotechnology which in the MCU was only available until Infinity War (Banner didn't know what nanotechnology was when he saw Iron Man suit up in IW while Otto immediately recognized it in NWH) so all in all Raimiverse was actually quite advanced technologically speaking

There are some characters whose MCU look I prefer compared to the original material. Do you have any examples of characters whose MCU look you also prefer?

Some of these, like Falcon and Ant-Man, I don't even think the MCU costumes are that good, but the comic book ones manage to be worse. A detail about Daredevil: I think his costume works perfectly and is beautiful in the comics, but it's a costume that wouldn't work in other media, and the TV series costume is the best possible costume for the character in live-action. And Ultron, I think the original mouth is better, but otherwise I prefer the MCU one; they just needed to improve the mouth a little and for me it would be perfect.

would have loved to see him in age of ultron. seeing him go from a optimistic scientist and hero to a disgraced pariah as yellowjacket. they missed a great opportunity to have an interesting character arc and eventually pass on the mantle to scott lang. instead we got one half decent movie and two pretty mediocre to bad films instead. why they decided to shaft two founding avengers is beyond me. truly one of the most wasted characters in mcu history.

Did she erase herself, turn into a Cosmic Cube, or did the authors just forget about her? She was very sweet, but I absolutely don't understand what happened to her.

It always makes me so happy whenever comic book actors read comics about the characters they play. 🥹

I have already made up my mind. It's Screwball. She's functionally useless without social media. Take her anywhere before the 2000s, before you could download a PNG image in less than 2 minutes and she's screwed as a character. Stuntwomen exist long before social media but the beauty of this character is rooted in her being an internet clout chaser.

And yes this question was made as a response to all the "update the origin of Magneto in modern day" posts. Let's ask the opposite question instead.

Unlike DC which has some characters relegated to a time period but they mostly unrelated to the time period they live in, Marvel is much more grounded when they create characters and also makes whatever is currently going on in the present a part of their story life for a few examples:

• Fantastic Four and the Hulk are strictly connected to the Space Race and atomic paranoia of the early 60s
• Iron Man and Punisher's origins are connected to the Vietnam War
• X-Men and Black Panther are very inspired by the civil rights movements.
• A lot of early Marvel villains like Kraven, Red Ghost, Titanium Man etc. are Russians which was a consequence of the Cold War going on during the 60s and 70s.
• Ofc then it makes easier to justify stuff like Magneto being an Holocaust survivor or having seen the Holocaust happening during the war.

Even stories like Marvels by Kurt Busiek and Alex Ross or Spider-Man Life Story by Chip Zdarsky show how much the time period these characters were created is as important as the character themself. Even movies like X-Men First Class, Fantastic Four First Steps and Captain America The First Avenger seems to get that the character's themes reasonates so well when the story and characters are releagated to the time period they live in.

I'm alright with the stories being updated for modern readers or the movies being modern day. Is just there's something very special and nostalgic to say when a story about our heroes is set in a specific time window like the 60s, 70s or 80s than in the modern era.
