Been 11 months since I had a nasty fall from a big jump. Broke my femur and a couple bones in my lower back. Needed a couple operations and many months of physio to get near normal again.
I miss riding immensely. Thinking to go back to trail riding, easy dunes in the desert etc.
But I have a tendency to push limits which is what I need to keep in check.
Anyone else ride again after a significant accident? How was it both mentally and physically?
I think I'll wait a few more months until I have full strength in my hips, but I frequently think about it and miss it.
Wife and kids are against me doing it but they won't stop me if I wanted to do it.
Any constructive feedback welcome! Thanks in advance

I think Cole Davies is an all around better rider than Haiden Deegan. Just like veteran riders/watchers have been saying Deegan's whole career, the way he revs the bike and rides would not translate well to the 450. I think we have seen that play out this summer. He was fast, sure, but he was way off the Lawrence brothers, and I would argue he could beat both of them now on 250s outdoors. I think Davies riding style will translate better to the 450 just like it was for Jett and Sexton, before he became a head case.
What's your thoughts?

I mean, in moto 1 Haiden has a rookie mistake on the first lap while leading, taking out Hunter. Meanwhile Jett has a "bad start" and sees the carnage as he goes by. Then for some weird reason, starts putting around the track slower than we've ever seen him go. By the end of the moto Hunter makes an epic pass (not) on his brother and they finish 8th and 11th. Jett couldnt pass anyone in the top 10? Moto 2 Jett all but pulled over and waited for his brother to catch up. I'm old enough to remember Let Brock bye!!! Are you?

How do you finish 8th but you get the first interview???? Idc if he’s in the running for the title.

I am in the market for a new pair of goggles. I don't need anything fancy, just basic goggles. I like running the quick strap solution. I bought a new pair of 100% Racecraft 2 goggles online and when I received them I discovered that they have non-removal molded straps. These don't work with the quick straps.
Does anyone know some current model goggles that have a traditional strap mounting system that would work with quick straps?

I was gutted to see Godzilla removed from Ironman last year. I always thought it’s like the coolest jump on the series, looks awesome on TV. It seems like many of the jumps in SX are getting smaller and same with MX, I’m noticing some jumps even being removed entirely on different tracks.
I’m really really hoping to see Godzilla make a return tomorrow. Anyone know what’s up?

I just wonder if you will wash your boots regularly? Or keep it muddy until you cannot stand for it.

Need some technique advice getting under my whips. I can get the bike decently sideways but it’s just mostly me pushing the bike sideways. I’ve been trying hard to keep my head and bodyweight off the side on the takeoff, but I can’t get the rear end to slide out like everyone says. I think I’m probably not committing enough with my upper body, and just pivoting at my hips.

Hey guys, i just started a new apprenticeship and therefore took a hit in my hourly pay. Also my car died and i had to get a new one that i am really happy about.
This does however mean that i am all out of money and my bike needs some new tires and other stuff so my question is. What do you guys do when you cant ride for 2 months or more to stay healthy mentally? I can really feel the need to ride but there is nothing i can do right now.
I plan to replace my riding days with an extra gym day and to go ride my mountainbike, i am scared i will loose my otherwise newly found flow and confidence.
Any tips?

I'm backing Hunter to get the championship... Hunter and Jett have pretty much being going 1-2 in overall's all season. Ironman could very well be the same which means as long as Hunter finishes 2nd to Jett, he'll lock it up.

Any idea what a fair price for this would be?

Hello everyone I bought the Alpinestar motocross airbag, I state that I am an amateur I do not compete, next week I will start using the airbag, which mode do you recommend to use MX or MX race? I would like to use mx but I’m afraid it will open even for slight falls that maybe I would have preferred not to open, since each recharge also costs €90, so I was thinking of using it on MX race mode to preserve it only for serious falls?
Maybe you who own it and know what these two modalities are like let me know thanks
