this was a manicure I did on myself last week. I posted my dominant hand so I did these using my non dominant hand and I think I’m getting better.

Still not perfect since my natural nail shapes aren’t all identical but since my cuticle work was so thorough they still look fairly new which I’m rly proud of!

First time poster, long time lurker. Got a bunch of stuff for my birthday and experimented with it all at once. I’ve been using gel x for the past 5 or so years and did this set last week.

I will say I normally don’t use primer and just stick with dehydrator bc my nails ALWAYS lift or pop off despite using minimal amounts. I’ve been seeing a lot of videos where they put primer on the gel x instead of the nail directly so I tried that after etching the inside. Also applied the gel x away from the cuticle (I thinned out the cuticle area of the gel x before applying using drill w/ file bit, applied gel x, thinned out more if needed. I haven’t done this before) then filled with gaoy builder gel. Which is a lot thinner than I expected and flooded some areas/took 2-3 coats.

First time trying 3d flowers! I’ve been wanting to do them for months but never had the right products. I think they turned out so cute.

Patting gel was great for that opaque look but I should’ve avoided cuticle area. I tried to cover the full nail in color, got a lot of gel on my skin around cuticle area, and then tried to wipe off with acetone on a brush. It kept spreading or getting wiped off the nail itself so I just cured and tried to get off after curing. Also did not work. Got a shower thinking it’ll pop off, right? I’ve gotten a bit of gel on my skin, cured, and washed my hands, causing it to come off. Nope. It took over a week for the patting gel to get off the skin. Def not doing that again

Also my top coat seemed to separate after applying my chrome? Similar to those “water nails” that went viral. Had to use 2 coats when I usually do 1. Assuming from mixing top coats

I don’t have any nail knowledge besides trial/error and what I’ve seen online. Open to suggestions!

Hello! I got my nails done for the first time in a few years. I told him that I liked them I did but when I got home, I realized that the nail tips aren’t fully covering my nails. I paid $94 so this kind of makes me upset. What should I do?

I’ve been licensed for 2 years and never had the guts until I was terminated from my last position. I’m not making nearly as much (yet) but I am SO much happier

I got nail art for the first time ever from a nail tech at the local beauty college. I told her to freestyle but to incorporate plants, pink and gold. Since it was thru the school the set was only $45! I’m overall please but going to ask for a sharper almond next time!
