Resources and Links Skein Storage?

Upvotes

Hi Ladies! I’m curious how you store unused skeins of yarn? I have my non wool floss organized in stackable storage boxes by color, but I want to keep the wool separated.
How do you keep your stash tidy? Or should I just keep it in a tote?

General Help Scroll frame question

Hi there,
I am using a scroll frame for the first time to stitch a stocking. Do I need to be concerned about stitches getting “smushed” down as I roll stitched portions of the canvas? I plan to save all beading and ribbon work for when I’ve completed the bulk of my stitching and take it off the frame. I do have a fair amount of decorative stitches and I am using a mixture of vineyard silk, impressions, neon rays, water and ice, whisper, lots of fun thread (but no velvet).
Is there anything I need to do to prevent any marks of indents on stitched portions as I move down the canvas?
Thank you!

Trademark?

Hi just trying to understand how people are able to design and sell canvases that have trademarked names like “Diet Coke” or “Masters” just as an example. Is this legal?

What’s one thing that totally changed your needlepoint game?

Stealing this topic from a post in the needlepointers FB group because I have been devouring the tips shared there!

What is one thing that really changed your needlepoint, be it a technique, product, mindset, etc?

For me, a light with magnifying glass on a gooseneck changed my 18ct canvas work completely for the better 🙏

I know they are not perfect at all but I am pretty proud for my first time doing this! The self finishing ornament took a lot! Whenever I was sewing the front cookie and back cookie together I was shoving a tiny little sewing needle through everything and it was so painful until I realized what thimbles are for 😭🤣

Leftover kitted materials…..

A few of my first projects were the Michael’s kits, what do you do with the leftover thread and directions, etc? It’s not like a skein of DMC that I’ll save for a different project but I also don’t want a bucket of stuff that I no longer need??

Hi guys! Thank you so much for being so sweet to me starting my needlepoint journey! I initially had a sequin border around my Project but the more I looked at it the more I was just unhappy with it. I tried to sew the sequence on and it didn’t work so I had to use hot glue and I absolutely hated the look of it!

I ended up taking all of it apart and sewed some cording that I made on it and I think it looks better… do you guys agree? Let me know which one you like more!
