I've been debating with my friend for a while on who would win in a 2 vs 1 with it being zoro and sanji vs luffy?

I have never watched but I want to, so I need help

so i'm in wano and i think i might cry when i get to the latest ep. the comfort of watching an anime knowing you still have a long way to go till you catch up is one of the best feelings, after all there's no dread of seeing it end(or in this case wait for a weekly release haha). suddenly having to wait for the weekly release for something i've watched in sittings which were as long as i wanted them to be is way too cruel. i'm considering dropping the anime and reading the manga from chapter 1, any better suggestions?

I've seen so many so-called One Piece fans hate Gear 5, and in my opinion, Gear 5 is fantastic. I mean, I like how it's built and the meaning it has, which breaks with the stereotype of The transformation will be serious, and the truth about Luffy's Devil Fruit will finally be revealed is great, as it's good that the truth about everything is finally coming out in the final stages.But it seems to me that you guys like Gear 5, I really do. Because it's the fruit of a god and because of its significance, they say the world government did nothing when it had to change its name and hide it completely, which is why Shanks steals it.

I know this is stupid to say in the one piece community but what anime do you think could’ve topped one piece or is close to or as good as one piece? I was jsut watching clips of sabaody and I’m genuinely sitting here thinking to myself, “what shounen anime is better than or as good as one piece?” Sabaody is one of the only times where I’ve seen a main character’s group suffer a major loss. And not even that, the amount of lore drops that one piece and its entirety has is crazy. Like the Raizo is safe scene has to be like one of the top anime reveals or moments. The only animes I can think of imo that comes close it’s honestly Naruto. Now if we are talking abt writing, there is a plethora of animes like Aot, monster, full metal, and more. But one piece has more than jsut writing going for it. It has emotional impact, world building, lore, stakes (sometimes). But as one piece fans I want to know what are some animes that you think are close to or as good as one piece or even better. Bc after watching one piece which I watched after I watched most mainstream animes, I have yet to find anything as good as it besides Naruto. And I watched Naruto way before I watched one piece.

I was reading some theories on that question already, but I honestly still have no idea when and how Law will be back. And none of them made a lot of sense.

A fan theory I liked is that he will meet up with Sengoku due to their link to Corazon. I liked the idea, but I don't think it's likely.

And, most importantly: will he wear his usual hat?! 😄

My brother said his classmate read or watched one piece so now he’s also reading the manga

According to him it was interesting enough to read volumes 1-3 in the library! My main concern if it’s appropriate because I want to make sure my brother isn’t exposed to much sexualization and inappropriate topics for his age

I never read or watched it but I know the men and women in this case, have abnormal body shapes that are animated inappropriately so my main concern is his eyes

Then again, he’s reading the manga! I’m not trying to gate keep him from peak or anything but i didn’t read mangas or watch anime until I was 13

Besides Luffy ofc. Let's say Elbaf has to end with an Ace-type moment as a way to establish the Final saga as a new segment of the story, who do you think would hit the story hardest if Imu were to punch their ticket and why?

We all know what the powers of the Sun God are, but it seems crazy to say that a "Zoan" type devil fruit has all those abilities.

First of all let's go through each Devil Fruit type:

Zoan: A devil fruit that lets the user transform into a mythical, ancient or real world creature and gain its powers. Its awakening gives the user a new form, more strength, speed etc.

Logia: A devil fruit that gives its user the ability to transform into nature's element (or somewhat like that, since darkness, light and swamp are not elements). The awakening is not yet fully revealed but it's widely considered to have the ability to change the weather permanently. (Punk Hazard, Alabasta, that one island with permament lightnings)

Paramecia: A fruit that doesn't fit in the other two categories, usually has an affect on a user's body or other unique effects. Its awakening let's its user alter their environment or other people, according to the fruit they have.

But Luffy's power description fits into all of these. His body has the properties of rubber (logia), he can change the environment into rubber (paramecia), he has a special type of awakening that gives zoan-like clouds and gives him more freedom (Zoan). His fruit is a God fruit because it has the power of all 3 devil fruit types.

But if Imu is the Earth God then why doesn't he have all the 3 types aswell? He clearly doesn't have any logia-like powers. That's because he's not the earth god. The Devil's Fruit is the first fruit ever created and also happens to be 1 of the 3 fruits that make the Earth God. He controls black flames and can summon ancient weapons (similar to the Sun God who can make anything out of thin air).

But what about the other 2 fruits then? They are a Logia and a Paramecia obviously but which one are they? This is where my theory really begins. In the First World we know that the Earth God was the one who ruled. There was Darkness and Flames everywhere. What two fruits have this? Blackbeard's and Imu's. Blackbeard have always known a lot of stuff, probably even knows his bloodline. Rocks was able to get into Imu's room and fight him, he definitely passed down his knowledge to his son.

Finally, the 3 devil fruits that create the Earth God are:

1. The Zoan: Devil's fruit

2. The Logia: Yami Yami no mi (Darkness fruit)

3. The Paramecia: Gura Gura no mi (Tremor fruit + said to have the power to destroy the earth + also creates floods (as seen in marineford))

Once a person gains all 3 of these, they gain the full power of the Earth God. That's what blackbeard wants and that's what Davy Jones did in the past, but we will go back to that later.

Why Blackbeard can eat 3 devil fruits:

-The 3 fruits were created for each other, as they are both part of the Earth God's powers.

-He is part of the Davy lineage (I will come back to this aswell later on)

But how was this devil fruit created? Nika used his power to seal the Earth God into a fruit, creating the Devil's Fruit, the firsr ever Devil Fruits. He then sealed the darkness into the Yami-Yami no Mi and then the "destruction" created by the Earth God into Goru Goru no Mi.

Earlier I made a theory on how the Devil Fruits are created by the Forest God, the Sun God and a 3rd Soul God. That theory is completely false now. As they were likely only created by the Forest God and the Sun God. But how and why? For that we have to understand the Forest God's powers and the fruits that make it.

Forest God devil fruits:

The Zoan: Chopper's Hito Hito no Mi. It already has strange powers as it has way too many transformations and its awakening (Monster Point) counters Domi Reversi.

The Logia: Mori Mori no Mi. Its power is entirely connected to forests.

The Paramecia: Soru Soru no Mi. It has the power to "steal" ones soul and put it inside a non living object.

Why Big Mom's devil fruit? For that we need to dive into hers and Chopper's backstory. Big Mom basically wanted a huge dinner table where all races could sit down and eat in peace, ALL OF THEM UNITED. Dr. Hiluluk and later Chopper wanted to heal Drum Island's population, also uniting them by a "wonder" which were the pink petals. We also know that both of them were completely left alone, and was adopted by 2 persons. Big Mom Mother Caramel and after her death "The chef" (forgot his name). Chopper Dr. Hiluluk and then The witch (also forgot her name😭).

But how are devil fruits created?

-Each and every devil fruit represents someone's dream. The people who have these dreams almost always tend to get the exact devil fruit they need. A person's soul contains their dream.

-The Forest God (probably asked by the Sun God) took out each person's dreams and sealed it inside a fruit, then gave them the devil fruit and made their dreams come true. This was in the second world.

Now for the lineage:

We all know that Oda loves to take inspiration from real life history. The D. is based on real life mythologies. The Gods had their own children. D.=Devil=God (revealed by Imu in the manga when he said that there's no difference between a Devil and a God). The D. lineage is each God's lineages. Nika's lineage is Monkey D., since all 3 of the people we know (and possible Joyboy) fight for freedom and are the savior of people. Gol D. lineage is also Nika's lineage, we know that Roger have probably got lots of women pregnant, just like the gods did in the past to keep their lineage up. Nefertari D. lineage is the Rain God's/Sea God's bloodline, aswell as possibly Nami's bloodline too since shes associated with weather aswell. Trafalgar D. Water is also the Rain God's or Sea God's lineage, simply because of the Water. Clou D. might also belong here, since his name spells Cloud. Davy D. bloodline is the Earth God's lineage, and possibly the only lineage. The Forest God's lineage is Jaguar D., since its represented by an animal that lives in the jungle. Jaguar D. Saul also likes to be around libraries made inside a giant tree.

That's all of my theories, the rain god's powers aren't revealed yet as we only know Dragon who potentially posses one of the 3 devil fruits needed.

In our world we r governed by gravity and energy, Einstein said Energy and mass are interchangeable and is given by E=MC^2 where 1kg mass if converted gives 3x10^8 J energy.and i think haki uses the same principles

Basically my theory is as per Einstein theory, energy and mass are interchangeable, like energy can become mass and mass can become energy

So basically Haki is energy, everytime u use haki , u use ur mass for it and convert mass to energy(E=mc^2) examples are......

HENCE THE USER FEELS VERY TIRED AFTERWARDS

1) Enma using zoros energy hence his arm loses mass

2) Critical mass haki - here they use there mass and deplete it so much almost killing them and convert it to Haki

Energy can be converted to mass, but this mass has specific property

in our universe and earth it's like Energy compressed under gravity to form elements like hydrogen, oxygen, uranium ,carbon etc and each have unique properties

similarly in one piece world haki is compressed to devil fruits ( vegapunk says it comes from desires)

if u eat 2 devil fruits they combine re releasing the energy killing the person

Once devil fruit user dies the energy goes back and occupies some other place

But there is an exception, a BLACKHOLE can contain this energy and release it in pockets , hence Blackbeard can use multiple devil fruits due to yami yami.

but remember pure energy(haki) is always better than in theory to converted energy(devil fruits) , hence Haki transcends all.....

So as we know the Nefertari family possess the Will of D when none of the other 20 original royal families don't also the Nefertari family is the only to stay down in the normal world. What if the Will of D is those who all had great honor and were offered to go to Marie Geoise but turned down the offer and lived on the normal world. Those who turned down the offer became the D or Down.

Leaving aside how we don’t know how hajrudin nearly lost to machvise(it was offscreen), machvise could’ve jumped him with insane mass, hajrudin is huge, not exactly easy for him to dodge that.

I want to point at the end of chapter 800 where the narrator literally says that the members of the grand fleet will each grow in power over the foreseeable future.

Over the same span of time, luffy went from doffy-ish level to a yonko.

Plus hajrudin basically did the same thing guernika did to luffy. Its not the first time we see top tiers get caught off guard mid attack.

Context: I just finished watching all of cannon One Piece through Egghead (I haven't watched the movies, but I'm also under the impression that none of them are cannon).

I get that Boa is conventionally attractive and does have a pretty strong devil fruit ability. That being said, in the show, she's barely involved and is mainly only used around the Time Skip. Is there something I'm missing about her? Is there like a movie that I'm missing where she does a whole bunch of cool things that I just need to tune into and watch?

Honestly not trying to bait, I'm just confused. It's cool when they show her for one episode during Wano and her little time in Egghead was cool *I guess*

Now I am not 100% done with the Anime yet. It had been a few months since I have watched as I took a break but I am in Wano. I see many people hate on Skypiea and it is honestly my favorite arc out of every arc I have watched. Idk why it is so disliked and many people even seem to skip over it. It has plenty of funny moments, some good stories, iconic moments. And it does not even have much filler compaired to the rest of the later arcs. It makes me sad to see people dislike my favorite arc.

Imu’s strength isn’t rooted in haki mastery or physical combat — it’s rooted in being the strongest being, a ruler whose power operates on a completely different plane than the rest of the cast. When fans treat Imu like a conventional fighter, the portrayal looks inconsistent. When you treat Imu like a reality-warping monarch, the portrayal becomes perfectly coherent.

First of all, Imu likely is the strongest being in One Piece — but not in the way people assume. Calling Imu the “strongest fighter” implies elite haki proficiency, refined combat technique, and top-tier physical prowess. If you start from that assumption, then yes, the recent chapters look contradictory. But Imu has never been portrayed as a martial specialist. Imu’s power is built on longevity, regeneration, and abilities we’ve never seen before, not on traditional combat scaling. That’s why applying standard strength rules to Imu creates confusion. Imu casually overwhelms Gear 5 not because of superior fighting skill, but because Imu’s abilities bypass the entire combat system. This is also why Luffy’s base-form sucker punch landed — not because Luffy was stronger, but because Imu’s power isn’t designed to counter instinctive, chaotic, will-driven actions. Luffy acted without context or fear, and that purity of intent let him slip past Imu’s defenses. The moment Luffy locked in and treated it like a formal fight, he started playing on Imu’s terms, even in Gear 5 — and Imu shut him down instantly.

Hajrudin’s moment makes this dynamic even clearer. Unlike Luffy, Hajrudin does know exactly who Imu is and what Imu has already done — zero‑diffing Loki, overwhelming Gear 5, one-shotting Zoro and Sanji, and serving as the root of the entire Elbaf catastrophe. Even the Holy Knights had rendered Hajrudin ineffective up to this point. He understands the full scale of the threat, yet he acts anyway. That’s what makes his hit so important. It’s not a power feat; it’s a will feat. The danger doesn’t matter. The decision is clean. Hajrudin steps in because it’s what must be done, and that conviction is exactly why his blow lands. Just like Luffy’s sucker punch, it proves Imu isn’t physically untouchable — Imu is simply immune to conventional strength. Characters who act with pure, unhesitating will can disrupt Imu, while characters who treat Imu like a standard opponent cannot.

These recent developments within the One Piece fandom has peaked my interest while also surprising me a great deal, because this is something that reads pretty clearly to me, but Elbaf has still attracted a unique wave of criticism. A lot of that criticism isn’t coming from actual inconsistencies — it’s coming from pure misinterpretation. People are applying traditional power‑scaling logic to a character who doesn’t operate within that system. Once you understand that Imu’s weakness is conceptual rather than physical, Hajrudin’s moment stops looking like a “scaling problem” and starts looking like deliberate thematic storytelling. It tells us everything about how Imu will ultimately be defeated: not through superior power scaling, but through the same instinctive, uncompromising will, that we have seen throughout the entire series with Luffy especially.

TL;DR: Imu is the strongest being, not the strongest fighter. His power bypasses conventional combat logic, which is why characters acting with pure instinct or conviction (Luffy, Hajrudin) can disrupt him while traditional strength fails. The Elbaf criticism comes from treating Imu like a "Kaido‑type" opponent, which he isn’t.

Water seven, Impel down and Reverse mountain were qualified in group A.

Arlong Park, Drum Island and Zou were qualified in group B.

Now lets see for group C. (There is 6 groups)

First time watcher, a few hundreds of episodes in and it is a great story with great characters and some amazing moments. But one thing really bothers me, it feels like at the end of every plot orc resolution you find all these people who should have been utterly destroyed or belong to Smithereens somehow just still alive, even if they had apparently really touching heartfelt death moments or sacrifice moments. It kind of takes the gravity out of moments when characters die because you know they'll just be alive in a few episodes or when they sacrifice themselves in some heartbreaking scene and you know by the end of the season they will somehow just be okay
