Like many others, I’m on a GLP1. That means I have lost a ton of weight but still have a long way to go to my final goal. Now that that’s out of the way, I have no idea how to dress or style my body. I have had obesity my entire life and so I never dressed the way I wanted or in a way that looked stylish. I had to pick from what was available for my size. That meant that at 13, I was shopping with mom in Macys and wearing Charter Club instead of wearing juniors clothes. I’ve always dressed either really matronly and churchy or in stretchy athletic wear. Petite plus options are hard enough to find, and petite plus felt impossible.
Now that I’m in my mid 20s and on the cusp of straight sizing (I’m approximately a petite sz 16 who is working toward being a sz 2-4, so still a long way to go), I want to start developing a new wardrobe that is actually stylish, while also being mindful that my body is still changing so I don’t want to buy too much. How do I do I manage both? After a lifetime of Charter Club, which brands can I even try at my size? My inseam is no more than 30 inches.
I am pear shaped with a large bust. I’m interested in wearing heels to appear taller as well. Season wise, I think fall is probably my favorite fashion season.
