I adopted a rooster 🤭

Cornish x hens but now at 22 week old.

Not been feeding as much recently as they are well overdue for dispatch and this one doesnt have much breast meat left.. is this possibly protein breaking down and thats whats left instead of meat?? Thanks

I just went out to close the chickens in and found one of my girls with her head behind a board, just standing there like she was trying not to be seen. I picked her up and what seemed like water came out of her mouth, but it was a bit little greenish. I felt her chest and it did seem a bit puffy and, when I pressed it a little, some more of that greenish water came out, like she was drooling. I took her outside the coop so I could look at her without the others being wiggy. As I stepped out of the coop, she “drooled” again, so I kind of leaned her forward where her head was down and about a half cup or so of that “watery” stuff just poured out of her mouth. She just stands and doesn’t move. I have her isolated in a dog kennel in the garage with a camera on her.

Something else to add is that three days in a row now I have gotten eggs with blood on them. All of my girls are just about six months old and just started laying about a month ago and I know that a bloody egg here and there isn't out of the normal realm when they begin to lay, but three days in a row now have me thinking it's related to what’s going on with this specific girl, although admittedly it could be another one.

-Her comb and wattles are still red.
-She can stand seemingly fine.
-When I first picked her up and found the “drool,” her eyes were closed. She only opened them once I “dumped” the fluid out of her.
-I just checked the camera and she was taking some water

Anyone have any thoughts?

Guys how can i make it more success and earn goods from it

I have 2 different chickens 1 I am almost certain is a rooster and the other im not sure. I need your help. I am supposed to be getting rid of my extra roos tomorrow so I want to be sure before I get rid of these 2 tomorrow. Especially because they are sweethearts but I have 7 roos n thats just to many. So please give me your opinion on both.

My mom’s kept chickens for years and always tracked eggs in a notebook she kept in the coop. It kept getting lost, got rained on, and by the end of the month it was almost impossible to add everything up.

So I built her a simple app where she just taps to log an egg. It grew into something bigger over time, works for other poultry too, not just chickens, and you can share the data with a partner or family member.

I’m curious whether this is something other backyard keepers would actually find useful, or if most of you already have a system that works fine. Happy to share more details or a link in the comments if anyone’s interested, just don’t want to come across as spammy in my first post here.

Hello i am a open shed farmer in sindh and currently I am using wood in furnace to heat my brooding area,
i was thinking on using water in pipes to heat up the brooding area and place thermostat inorder to control temperature and was wondering if this is a good idea since I can not source infra red electric brooder for my broilers farm
