All of the shutdowns under Trump occurred when Republicans controlled Congress. There was one that started in December 2018 started when Republicans controlled both the House and Senate. It ended in January 2019 after Democrats assumed control of the House.

That is not the role of the president. They are supposed to shut up and pass what ever is given to him by Congress. That is the way it has always been until Trump who doesn't care about Congress and fells the president should have power and should use it . It's why a lot of politicians are mad they are not getting there way and money is not being funneled into there bank account anymore. These numbers are simply indicative of how congress votes on continuing to fund the government. If Democrats vote in lockstep to not fund the government (pretty impressively, I might add) then blaming the president for Congress' inability to fund is a bit of a stretch.

This admin admitted in court that they cut grants to Blue states solely because they didn't vote for Trump. It's clear they are doing the same thing with disaster aid. If Republicans don't remove him for that, then the next Democrat admin can do the same thing and cut funds and disaster aid to red states. Is that really a path Republicans want to go down?

The president is in charge of enforcing laws. The Congress is in charge of funding the government. Funding shut downs are solely on congress.

You don't understand how government works or how piss poor the Republicans are negotiating. During the shutdowns, the GOP would rather go on long recesses than negotiate, and their negotiating style usually consists of bad-mouthing Democrats and offering NO concessions. They don't have the numbers to overcome the filibuster, so a key to negotiating is giving concessions; the GOP refused, so they went on recess, causing the shutdown to go on longer.

Republicans, because as I said in my post, you clearly DIDN'T read or understand that the GOP has FULL control of government, and they don't negotiate in good faith whatsoever. The party with BOTH houses of Congress and the executive branch has to take responsibility for causing the shutdowns. If they had negotiated in good faith like normal parties usually do, no shutdowns would've happened.
Look, at Biden, he had 0 shutdowns according to that graphic, and he had a quite uncooperative Congress, but he negotiated properly and passed funding bills WITHOUT the need for a shutdown.
