I'm an author, for those who don't know, if you want to get your book published by a publishing house, you need an agent. Publishing houses like Penguin, do not take unsolicited manuscripts or answer emails, unless from a publishing agency.

So Authors have to basically send resumes to agents who are accepting query letters so they can possibly get their book published. It's incredibly competitive as there are not that many agents out there.

Now, I write fantasy, and I'm a white dude. About half of agents don't do fantasy, okay fair play. But the ones who do are at least half of the time looking for BIPOC or LGBTQ writers.

They have descriptions of what they are looking for in their bios, and I see stuff like this at least every other agent.

"Alexandra is committed to working with writers from diverse backgrounds and is looking to put forth a list of outstanding creators who will be able to provide windows, mirrors, and sliding glass doors into all kinds of experiences. She’s looking for own-voice stories about historically underrepresented identities and cultures."

"Courtney is primarily looking for authors and illustrators of picture books, middle grade, and graphic novels. She is open to select young adult and adult projects. She’s actively seeking stories that reflect diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences, as well as underrepresented voices and perspectives."

"Jessica is looking for romance, upmarket fiction, book club fiction, as well as some limited suspense and nonfiction. Across the board, she’s looking for books that celebrate diversity in all its forms, and would love to see novels with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ characters."

"Taj McCoy aims to widen the entryway for marginalized authors and to normalize Black joy, fat joy, celebrations of culture, and love without limitations."

This is just some of the more recent ones I've seen. If you're wondering why all media is becoming so woke, it's because regular authors and stories are being bottlenecked by these weirdos.

Edit: So I looked at 49 random agents and made a spreadsheet to determine what percentage discriminate based off of Race, Sexuality, or underrepresented groups. 28 of those 59 openly state they are looking for authors that fit those boxes, either preferably, or exclusively.

My platform, in order of importance to the Republic:

Item 1 – Legislative, Executive and Judiciary Branch Reform

Provision 1: All members of either chamber of the United States Congress, the Executive Branch or the Judiciary duly elected or appointed on or before December 31, 2026 are exempt from the following provisions (“Grandfather Clause”).

Provision 2:

Article 1: An individual may be elected to the US Senate not more than three (3) times for any State in the Union.  Where a member of the US Senate has been duly appointed due to a vacancy, such term of office shall not be subject to the term limitations outlined herein.

Article 2: The term of office for members of the US House of Representative shall be three (3) years.

Article 3: An individual may be elected to the US House of Representatives not more than five (5) times for any district or any State in the union.

Article 4: No President, Vice President, nor any member of Congress may begin a term of office that does not end prior to their 73^rd birthday.  There shall be no member of either Chamber of the US Congress nor the Presidency aged beyond 72 years old.  The Judiciary is deliberately excluded from this provision as the Supreme Court is, by definition, a lifetime appointment.

Article 5: Members of Congress, the Judiciary, the President and Vice President shall no longer have a retirement program that differs from other Federal employees.  See Provision 12 below.

Article 6: Members of Congress, the Judiciary, the President, Vice President and Presidential Cabinet Members, their immediate family members, siblings, parents, aunts or uncles and any spouses thereof shall be prohibited from buying, selling, owning and or “trading” individual securities or investments.  Portfolios of individuals subject to this provision shall be limited to mutual funds.

Section 2: All employees, staff, or other individuals working within the US Congress, the Judiciary or the Executive Branch with similar access to information shall be subject to the same limitations as outlined in Provision 2, Article 6.  Congress by 2/3rds majority may only expand the scope of this limitation to other individuals with privileged information.

Item 2 – Foreign Aid

Provision 3: US Foreign Aid shall be limited to Humanitarian Aid.  No US Taxpayer monies shall be used for other purposes, including but not limited to, infrastructure, education, military and or general relief.  Congress may authorize “foreign aid” only to address temporary crises and humanitarian relief.  There shall be no “on-going” foreign aid.

Item 3 – Student Debt Reform

Provision 4: Effective immediately and going forward, all student debts are subject to the provisions of the US Bankruptcy Code and may be discharged accordingly through such method.

Provision 5: All student lending at private universities and colleges shall be underwritten by schools themselves and subject to Provision 4 above. 

Provision 6: All student lending at public universities and colleges shall be administered by the respective governing body and subject to Provision 4 above.

Provision 7: All student lending at trade schools, vocational schools or similar institutions shall be underwritten by the schools themselves and subject to Provision 4 above.

Item 4 – Immigration Reform

Provision 8: Fully enforce current Immigration Code and secure points of entry.  Individuals here without legal standing shall be deported expeditiously. 

Provision 9: Employers who have not used the e-Verify system to confirm employment eligibility shall be subject to fines in the amount of $50,000 per individual.  Subsequent violations shall be doubled for the same EIN or common ownership.

Provision 10: No non-US Citizen shall be eligible for government assistance or Medicare regardless of immigration status.  US Government Assistance (including but not limited to SNAP or similar programs) and Medicare shall be limited to US Citizens.

Section 2: No non-US Citizen shall be eligible for government assistance on behalf of a minor child or children regardless of the citizenship of the minor child(ren).

Provision 11: Continue to address the “loophole” of Birthright Citizenship.  Birthright Citizenship should only be extended to children born in the United States where at least one of their two legal parents/guardians has legal standing to be here or is a US Citizen.

Item 5 – Federal Workforce

Provision 12: The Federal Workforce shall henceforth participate in Social Security and shall not have a government funded retirement or pension outside of Social Security.

Provision 13: The Federal Workforce mandatory retirement age shall be 72 years old.  There shall be no Federal Employee aged 73 years or older.

Item 6 – Tax Reform

Provision 14: Replace income taxes with a National Sales Tax.  This closes the “billionaires” loophole of simply borrowing against assets for large purchases and showing very low income.  Exclude NOTHING from the National Sales Tax (specifically, groceries and home purchases are included).  The loophole the wealthy currently exploit is to leverage their wealth and borrow and buy - thereby showing little or no income; but the wealthy certainly SPEND like they’re wealthy. 

Tax spending, not earnings.  This will level the playing field. If you don’t want to pay the Sales Tax on that $2.6M Bugatti, buy a Camry.  Want to avoid the Sales Tax on your $40M Ranch in Santa Barbara, buy a condo in Salt Lake City.

Collecting Sales Tax infrastructure largely already exists as most states already have a State Sales Tax (POS systems etcetera are already equipped).  Car dealerships, Escrow Companies, Yacht Brokers all can collect Sales Tax. Most businesses are already in the practice of collecting sales taxes. Corporations, LLCs and other such entities can pay sales taxes too. It's harder to hide purchases from the government than it is income.

This encourages savings too (at all income levels).

Item 7 – Tort Reform

Provision 15: Cap all jury awards at $10M (ten million dollars) to any one family/household.  Most lawsuits resulting in damages exceeding “reasonable” amounts are against government (the burden is the taxpayer).  Tragedy isn’t really ameliorated by sudden wealth.  Compensate victims reasonably.

Provision 16: Adopt a “loser pays” the winning party’s reasonable attorney’s costs, court filing fees and expert testimony costs.  Have each attorney secure a Bond for costs should they lose.  This will reduce the number of flim-flam ambulance chaser cases brought by billboard-lawyers.  Instead, attorneys will be forced to weigh the actual merits of any give case.  In the current system, the grifter attorneys have zero risk bringing weak cases to court.
