Born into poverty and never knowing her Father, Ana was pushed into a life of crime from an early age, as many Dark Shore urchins are in the city of Marina. As she aged though, her mother's genetic condition, Drowner's Lung, began to worsen, and she was forced to up the ante from petty thievery to illicit smuggling and high stakes heists in order to afford treatment. When she found a flyer for an expedition into the ruined city of Joyalantte, she was all too eager to set forth and claim it's untouched treasures, both for personal gain, and so her mother could live.
