Had my first watch seized, it was stuck in customs for over a week so I reached out to Steve at The One Watches and was told it was not released during customs inspection. He asked if I wanted a refund or to have him source another one. I asked for a refund, think I'm done till things cool off.

What was the watch that got you hooked?

Bought a Pilot Mark XX about 6 months ago and took the time to source an Asian 2892 variant on a bracelet (not every dial colour was available on bracelet, a lot ship on a strap instead, including most of the black dials I'd asked about). Figured I'd maybe add a strap at a later date.

Recently decided to grab one, but really wanted to try and get a proper version - with the Ease-X Change style quick release - rather than a generic FKM / fluoro-rubber strap with regular spring bars.

Why have a bracelet with a perfectly replicated quick release if you have to remove the spring bars to put a strap on, right?

Not fancying spending nearly £200 on a genuine one, I trawled through Ali to try and find some options. There were plenty, but the prices were still pretty wild. Found options ranging from £30+ all the way up to £60 and even a bit more than that.

I ended up pulling the trigger on the cheapest one I could find. After coupons and discounts it came to £24.24 and it arrived today.

Excited to finally get it on strap, I got the packaging open and found that the quick release button on both parts had a little square of taping covering them up. So I peeled it off, and what do I find underneath....

That's right. An IWC logo etched into the steel! 😂

Nothing on the listing showed a logo (not that they would), but I was still surprised! I wasn't looking for a rep strap, but somehow I managed to end up with exactly that. What a result!

Unfortunately the buckle and tang are no where close to gen. The buckle is shorter and doesn't have the IWC logo on it but I don't care one bit about that. It's comfy and fits great, and now I can put the bracelet away until warmer weather prevails (I'm currently between links in this cooler weather, even using the quick adjustment system in the clasp).

Anyway, thought I'd share for anyone else who has a Mark XX on bracelet ✌️

I hate my mother-in-law with all my heart. Can I just keep using her name as the recipient until one package finally gets seized so her Global Entry gets revoked? 🤭

After a little waiting today I received my QC photos of a beautiful specimen from the recently announced ARF batch. I wanted one of these before I knew about the rep community… so when I got into reps and realized I was out of luck I was heart broken.

With help from an awesome fellow who goes by the name James, I woke up this morning to some QC photos of this elusive wonder…. I’ll say I’m beyond excited. QC was spot on. I think ARF has produced another NWBIG Red Grape and I’m hyped to be receiving this.

James was awesome too. I am stocky like a D1 middle linebacker, because I was, and have a 21.5 cm wrist. He had no problems getting extra links for me. I hope ya’ll enjoy the photos as much as I do.

Hey guys. I’ve now owned and worn the 114060 for about two weeks, and I got the vsf 126610 (41mm) yesterday.

I’m honestly a bit confused about the build quality of the 41mm. The bracelet feels different—almost a little plasticky compared to the 116610. I’ve also noticed a sound when I move or swing my wrist, almost as if the rotor or something inside the movement is spinning.
Has anyone else experienced this when owning both watches?

To me, the quality and feel of the links and bracelet on the 116610 just seem noticeably better and more solid.

10th attempt at posting this, hopefully the reddit bug was squashed and you guys can see the photo.

I have my eyes on a rose gold datejust that is out of stock in the so called known factories ( which frankly I think are partially made up because no way this huge china has only 2-3 top factories only )
I have those 3 factories from different sellers claiming to have best quality .

I’m looking at some VSF Datejusts and have it narrowed down to three colors: Wimbledon, Rhodium and ombré green. Which would you folks choose? I like the gold crown and green on the Wimbledon but already have a DJ with Roman numerals. I feel like the rhodium will go with anything. I love the ombré green color but may clash depending on the situation?

So after lurking the sub for a bit, reading, and looking at options, I selected my first watch and they sent it over pretty quickly. It is amazing! Fits great, works great, has a lot of the little things I’ve seen others talk about in the sub. Overall, very happy with it! Now I’m looking at other pieces….

Got a Pepsi & a Batman, great quality imo. Lots of compliments too. She shiny!
