I need income, so I got a part time job. I work around 10-20 hours a week on a rotating schedule. I hate it. It's physically killing me. So, I'm trying to apply for other jobs.

I've already applied to a few, some with and some without my current job. But I honestly don't know if I should keep it off. I feel like I'm lying. I have the job up on LinkedIn as where I'm currently working and my boss is connected with me on LinkedIn, so now I'm scared to take it off.

It does have transferrable skills. It's a security job where I help people out with wayfinding and make sure they're not doing anything they shouldn't at a university. I feel like not having anything wouldopk bad as well. I don't know.

I'm applying for full time entry level roles. I'm just wanting to know if having this job on my resume looks bad. It does look like I'm job hopping but I need security.

Is it bad to include it? Should I leave it off?

Why is there never a standard answer for SML tests? Every time I take an SJT test, I end up getting a rejection email! Almost every big company seems to have an SJTtest. What am I supposed to do? Thank you!
Every time I apply for a job, I receive an email inviting me to take an SJT. At first, I completed the tests myself, but I kept getting rejected. Then I started using AI to help me with the tests, but I still got rejected. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong or where the problem could be?

A recruiter contacted me about applying for a role in a field similar to mine, but a bit more specialized. I sent him my resume, and he sent it to the company.

The recruiter said they liked my background, and in the end I did an initial phone screen with the client. Honestly, it seemed like it went well, and I was expecting that I'd at least make it to the next round.

After that, they immediately rejected me because I don't have direct experience in that specific industry. And that wasn't hidden at all. It was clear to them on my resume and didn't need a full screening call for them to find out.

I mean... Why? Why waste my time and theirs from the start? I'm just upset and annoyed.

I recently rebuilt my resume and would really appreciate some honest feedback. I’m primarily targeting software engineering internships and entry-level roles. I’d especially like feedback on my projects, technical skills, and overall resume presentation.

I'm still in university and lately I've been getting pretty anxious about what happens after graduation. Every time I open Reddit, I see another post about people applying to hundreds of jobs, getting ghosted, or struggling to land even entry level positions.

Maybe I'm just feeding myself too much negativity, but it's hard not to wonder whether things will actually improve over the next couple of years.

4.5 YoE in security operations. Work at a small MS(S)P and am pretty much the only person that does any incident response work. Looking to get into more IR-focused roles, or relocate to something more interesting in the SOC.

I had to use their provided template, but please let me know if everything makes sense and is clear! I mostly worry about having such a long work history but I wanted to include my human service hours from 10 years ago!

I’ve been putting together a list of common resume mistakes for fresh graduates:

Using the same resume for every job

Writing long paragraphs instead of clear bullet points

Listing skills you can’t confidently explain

Ignoring relevant keywords in the job description

Not checking spelling, dates and contact information before applying

I’d add one more: tailor your resume to the role, but never add experience or skills you don’t actually have.

I am a full time social media manager at my current job, and a full time content creator outside of work. I am looking for a new, remote social media position, full time or part time, that would give me more time to focus on my personal accounts.

Currently between both positions, I am working around 100 hours per week and only sleep a couple hours per night at most, I have been doing this for over a year now and its really taking a toll on me mentally and physically.

I'm in need of some help. I am trying to transition out of teaching. I've been taking some business classes and thinking about entering a supply chain management certification program. I need help with my resume and how to fram and transition my skills into a different field. I was thinking of applying to intern or and or entry level positions to begin the pay cut. Pretty much every resume advice article I've read says you should quantify and emphasize results. Which makes a lot of sense.

But, none of my jobs really gave me hard data, sometimes outcomes were not measurable e.g. "supporting student personal growth" or "building community," and I feel like most the time there wasn't much of an accomplishment, it was just performing the expected duties.

I remember the tasks, accomplishing them, meeting goals, and contributing to buisness mission. I don't remember the minutiae enough to make an honest guess.

So it seems my my options are straight up lying, making up a very rough guess, or leaving it off. None of them seem to be great options.

Am I missing or misunderstanding something?

What would be the best way to proceed given the above circumstances?

Hi everyone, I've been trying to transition as a junior sys admin to tech sales. I've been mostly been applying to tech BDR and associate sales engineer roles. Also, I have applied to some technical consultant roles as well. The issue I'm having is with my resume. I think the template is good and it's not overall terrible, however, since I have no sales experience, it's hard to tailor my bullet points to these roles.

I've worked for msps (managed service provider) and that's where I have most of my consulting experience. I find weak points in a companies infrastructure and then sell them our product. I would love to have a chance to express these skills and I also think my technical skillset can be of good use for a tech sales position.

Please let me know what you guys think of my resume and please give me honest feedback. I just want to have the best chance for this transition.
