This billboard sits on top of "Anthony's Barbershop," but they aren't related. I absolutely know I've seen the show from which this image comes from, but I can't remember at all from where. It's most likely from a cartoon; it is not made by roku (not a direct reference to the original king kong and not the roku robot that has been seen rampaging in the back ground).

You can't see it clearly here, but bigfoot is wearing sunglasses and he's got a cool grin on his face. I seem to remember it might be from a cartoon like "Rick and Morty," (interdimensional cable episode? Couldn't find it, but I don't have access to Hulu at the moment to check further) "Bob's Burgers," "Family Guy," "The Simpsons," or some other adult cartoon.

I remember that the robot and bigfoot depicted show up on an animated TV screen in a scene that's no more than about 15 seconds long. They come in from either the left or right and big foot almost drops the house, and he laughs, then they freeze into frame to make this logo for a fictional moving company advertisement whose name I cannot remember.

Surely someone else other than me remembers this little easter egg as I haven't been able to find any reference to it on most threads here; if it's referenced at all, then its usually listed as unknown. I've seen it referenced as "Mecha and King Kong Movers" but this doesn't yield any positive result in google; no link to a clip or any such thing. If someone has a link to the clip or episode from whichever show this comes from, I would really appreciate it. It's been driving me crazy for years that I can't remember where it comes from.

When do you plan on fixing this CEC bug that seems to be going around. After recent updates, I’m sick and tired of my tv getting auto turned on 10 times a day/night. The complete setup (Roku, avr, tv) had worked flawlessly for 5 years and then you decided to break via “updates”. It’s the only device in my stack that ever updates because all others don’t have auto update disabled. I already tried a new remote and new hdmi cables just for fun

Unplugging my Roku at night is not a solution.

No matter what digital output format/Preferred streaming output configuration I try nothing works.
I get HDHR splash screen sound but no audio with any channels. I have turned off vol leveling. Checked for any updates for all devices. Plex audio works with the Roku stick.

If it also matters Samsung TV with a LG soundbar with a optical cable connection.
I have 6 Roku sticks and all are running great with HDHR and digital output format/preferred streaming output set to auto.

A few months ago something happened and i thought I had gotten hacked. A bunch of roku streaming channels got purchased such as howdy, hallmark, and several more as well as a few movie titles. I did not do this. I woke up to several "thank you for your purchase" emails that were legitimately from Roku. I called roku, got a refund, and put a pin on my roku account as well as any other apps that I could. I don't pay for any roku streaming apps so I also removed my payment method to make sure this doesn't happen again. At least once or twice a week roku will send me about 20 emails in a row asking my to add different payment methods for something like Hallmark or any of their other apps. It's very frustrating. Especially after so many things were purchased without my concent. There will be about 10 asking for my PayPal and 10 asking for cash app. These emails are also from roku and not spam. Has anything like this happened to anyone else? Did it ever get to resolved?

Ever since the recent software changes, my 32" TCL Roku TV has aggressive soap opera effect permanently turned on. Worse, the "Expert Picture Settings" menu option has been entirely stripped away .

I lived with it for a bit and decided I don't like it. All the tiles for what I watch are small so they can fit in ads for other shows. Most are available on streaming networks with commercials, which I rarely if ever watch.

I have to scroll for twice as long because the content I actually use is displaced by ad tiles, including tiles twice the size of others. I doubt I can use the * to get rid of them.

Edit: I went into settings and removed the recommendations listing. So much better, thanks! Also going to remove the "quick" option.

No sound on Bluetooth earbuds when they auto connect but it says connected. If I connect them manually there is sound. This issue just started about a month or so ago. Before that everything worked fine.

Roku TV was working great for a long time, but then in the last 2 weeks we have turned it on twice to find a failed update, and then checking for updates says its fine, checking connection says its fine, but trying to open any app says there is no connection.

Things that don't help: removing and re-adding apps, rebooting with or without unplugging for 10 min, removing and re-adding to the wifi, removing almost all apps (down to just 2 now), cache reset (the hold 5 home times, up etc thing).

What did help temporarily but now it's happened again: factory reset.

Anyone else ran into this recently? If yes then how did you fix it? Is there a way to disable all updates so they stop breaking it? Factory resetting very often is super annoying.

I have the original soundbar (not streambar but works the same) the sub woofer, and surround sound speakers. Just recently my back left surround sound speaker sounds like the woofer is blown out in it. In shows and movies anytime there is music it rattles like crazy. Has anyone had luck with opening these up or know how?

I bought them quite a few years ago from Walmart and I do not have the receipt so I was looking to see about maybe taking these in and trading for a new pair and then trying to open it up and look at it if that’s not an option.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated or if I should just purchase new ones, I would like to salvage them but if not so be it. Thanks!

Roku TV was turning itself off and then on for five seconds on repeat. I tried everything suggested in a Google search/YouTube vid (unplugged components, left TV unplugged for an hour, tried a wall outlet rather than the surge protector, made sure I wasn't sitting on the remote, etc). It wouldn't stay on long enough to get to a menu, so I couldn't try the menu fixes.

I factory reset using the button on the back of the TV. But now when I'm in recovery mode, select my language, and connect to WiFi, it downloads an update, says "Restarting", and kicks me back to the language select. I'm stuck here in a loop.

Hoping someone has a suggestion that'll prevent me from junking it. Thanks in advance.

I did a factory reset on my Roku TV because I wanted to change the account on it and apparently that's the only way to possibly do that. But I don't have the remote anymore (lost it a while back) and I've been using the app on my phone as a remote ever since. But now that it's done a factory reset, it's no longer connected to my WiFi which now means my phone is unable to detect it. Anyone have any advice?

My Roku remote, included with my television, is roughly five years old and lacks a voice text feature, so replacing it is appropriate.

My TV rebooted while opening Netflix last night and went into boot loop (the little Roku saucer showed up, it rebooted, the saucer showed up...)

I was able to get it reset, and after the firmware update done post-reset, the option to setup/select themes is missing. I don't honestly remember what build of v15 it was running before the reset, nor do I remember if the Theme setting was there before the reset.

While writing this, I scrolled thru the home screen and noticed that I'm missing things like Power settings and the Roku City tile.

Did I miss something? Was the Themes setting removed? Are there other things that were removed from the home screen or settings with the release of v15.3.4?

About four weeks ago, my TCL Roku TV (TCL model 50S535, running Roku software version 15.3 currently) started randomly turning on in the middle of the night - I'd come out in the morning and find the TV on the screen saver. Recently, it has started occurring much more frequently, even when I leave for a few hours in the middle of the day.

I've done a Google search on this, and the solutions I've seen haven't applied - CEC 1-touch play isn't checked, Fast TV Start isn't checked. Last night, I removed the batteries from the Roku remote, and the TV was still back on the next morning. Has anybody else come across any other possible solutions to this issue?

The batteries are fine.

I will pair the remote and tv, the RF function works.....for a few minutes. Then something happens and only the IR control works until I re-pair it again.

I'm trying to address what appears to be a known issue with Roku: YouTube sync/playback issues. This *only* occurs in the YouTube app; audio sync seems fine across all other apps.

My setup is: Roku Ultra 4850X, OS 15.3 running YouTube 2.25 build 335.

TV is an LG C5 and sound is from a Sonos Beam Gen 2.

YouTube's audio is consistently lagging behind the video. Trying to play videos at 1.5x speed is currently impossible: audio skips, lags, catches up, skips, and so on. The one bright spot is that switching to 1.5x can sometimes bring the audio at 1x speed into slightly better alignment (or at least it seems to do so—maybe it just makes me appreciate going from terrible to tolerable).

I've done the usual troubleshooting (reinstalling app, plugging/unplugging various things, etc.). By all measures this appears to be a Roku-specific issue with YouTube.

Contacting Roku directly for support just resulted in the usual runaround of plugging and unplugging, uninstalling/reinstalling, checking for updates, etc. Has anyone here found a means of addressing this problem?

Solved… disconnected everything… and did a factory reset using my cellphone Roku app…

I may have created this myself as I reset the tv remote to the ultra …

Now, the only way I can access the tv or turn it off is via the cellphone app.

I cannot even turn off the tv using either remote.

And if simply turn on the tv using one of the 2 remotes, I can’t access the ultra Home Screen, it’s just stuck of the tv Home Screen at the hdmi port the ultra is connected to…

I like the enhancement that the ultra provides….rather than replacing my 6 year old tv… but this 79 year old “could” use a bit of advice as to how to get everything working together again…

Just came home and went to turn on my tv. It’s a Samsung tv with an older Roku premiere hooked up to it. It was working just fine earlier today but now the screen is black and I hear the tv turn on, but then I hear some Roku voice talking lines or something, I can’t make out exactly to what the voice is saying. I’ve tried cycling everything off/ down not logging and waiting a few minutes , and even tried swapping out the hdmi cord for a new one I keep getting the black screen and the weird Roku robot voice. Any suggestions?

I have been a proponent of roku for years on end but I believe that time has drawn to a close. I've got 2 ultras on to vizio TVs. Disney has been freezing and kicking back to home, or worse rebooting the player which is quite loud when it's that annoying 8 bit booper at 1am. I can just be on Disney and simply changing from one show/movie to the next and crapola. I've found myself using the vizio app for Disney most of the time. But my TVs are a generation behind built in Bluetooth. One TV is due for retirement and my search for which is better str8 Google or a roku and all the reasons listed for why the roku is better are out the window as the claim is all about the simplicity of the roku home and line up while giggles is all on AI driven suggestions and blah blah. The whole quick picks is constantly changing the order based the last thing I watched more than one show on and the list of for you does 2 terrible things. It gets in the way and it shows you scores for stuff that you don't want to see. I watch one game of something and the next time my team plays in seeing scores before I can even find out which service the game is on. I've seen the disney complaint as being addressed for several years!! Including new model TVs! roku you better come up with something good not only are you gonna lose my measly amount of money but the free advertising is going to become outward telling anyone that'll listen they'd be better off with a giggle box or even a dang fire tv

Does anyone know how to fix this? I’ve had the tv for a few months and it was given to by a family member. It worked perfectly but this morning when I turned it on, it started to flicker. I’ve tried factory resetting and unplugging it for 30 seconds before plugging it back. Even leaving it unplugged for a few hours and nothings worked :(

Is there a way To have it play The Movie And stop at the end of the movie Without input from me. So I can manualy choose The next movie To play At my convenience?

I've noticed on all four of my Rokus (one Roku TV, one streaming stick and two Ultras) that the NFL app doesn't work. It just hangs for a few seconds at the intro screen and then kicks back to the main menu. I thought about removing and then reinstalling the app but I can't see how to do that: Highlighting it and pressing '*' just gives me the option to remove from Quick Access.

I realize the NFL is responsible for their app, and it always worked for me until this latest update (8/26), but I just wanted to see if others are seeing (or not seeing) the same thing I am.
