So I went for a long ride and installed a rack to support the luggage. Now I kinda find it cool and suitable to the bike but it sort of removes the stripped out look of it.

What do you guys think?

I got the Tiger used and put some miles on her and just hit 50k miles today!

With a new engine for Moto2 confirmed* for 2027 and the Street Triples 20th anniversary in 2027, combined with the fact that there are no new colorways or 2027 versions of the Street Triple on Triumphs webpage unlike the Speed Triple i.e., it's now a pretty safe bet that we will be seeing a brand new Street Triple in the coming months.

The engine itself is going to be 6% more powerful. Triumph has stated that they have reached the limit of the 765-platform between performance and reliablity. My guess is a 825 cc engine. It's going to be bigger than the old one, and smaller than the new MotoGP 850cc engine. A 6% increase is 805 cc. They are very likely to need some wiggle room. The 675 had a 225 cc cylinder (675/3), the 765 had 255, and a 825 would be 275. Sounds like a nice number. In order to keep piston speeds within a safe range, and make room for bigger valves, needed for the revised top-end, a 80 mm bore with a 54,7 mm stroke. Same ratio as the current 765.

The increase in displacement and revised head is probably going to help with the mid-range it lacks. It's plenty of room to keep the engine stronger in the mid range even with 135-140 bhp. Any more would start to creep close to the Speed Triple.

As for the bike itself, I have no clue. Probably a new TFT, and a pretty anniversary edition I am equally afraid I won't get and will get. Manual suspension, and my guess, a Daytona.

Need assistance, this is my first triumph. I was going down the highway today at 6-7k rpms 75ish mph and my bike kinda jumped and the check engine light came on, happened 3 times. I slowed to 5.5 -6k for the rest of the ride and it didn't happen again. The bike only has 1800 miles on it. What could it be?

I’ve been shopping for a Street Triple and have 3 good options to pick from from 3 very different flavors. I’ll add that I have pretty crappy roads, no mountains, and closest track is 5 hours away. So mainly just commuting with the occasional fast curve whenever opportunity presents itself.

1. 2013 Street Triple 675

   ABS.

2. No frills just super clean with 9000 miles, lots of extras like bags and some leathers that’s never seen the pavement (should fit too) It also has an exhaust. $4,200

3. 2018 765 RS. 11,700 mi super clean zero modifications. I think I can get it for 6,000 maybe a little less.

4. 2020 765R 4,700 miles, super clean, has exhaust and a few little extras. I think I can get it for 6,200

I had a budget of 5,000 and I really think I’d be happy on either of these, just wondering if with the way I ride would ever benefit from spending the extra money on one of the 765’s

Also I do have some gear already, so that’s not part of the budget.

The bike is a 2020 model and has 7700km - 4500 miles and is being sold at 7700 euros (comes with a 1y warranty from the dealer). It doesnt have any particular modifications and should be stock (no bt module and things like that). Can anyone give a brief review of the things you liked ad disliked about it? Thanks

I lost my only key to my ‘22 Speed Twin and saw online that dealers should be able to look it up and make you a new one, but the ones I called said they can’t do that.

A small change that made a HUGE difference to my bargain Bonneville.

I changed the handlebars on my Triumph T140 and it's suddenly much nicer to ride.

But fitting them wasn't quite as straightforward as I'd hoped...

Hey folks! This'll be my third bike. First being a 2012 F800 GS and my second a 2015 CRF 250 Rally. I was kinda coaxed into getting both of them and learned that I don't much like off roading and my honda spent 99% of it's time in my possession commuting to work in the city. After not riding for the past 5 years it's time for something new!

Not wanting another adventure bike I started looking at Honda Shadows. Something at least with ABS but I wasn't to keen on the looks. Comes and goes. After some more looking and reading my focus shifted to the T120. The styling and size are both good and seems there's a pretty decent After market.

My question to the T120 riders, how is it on the highway and in the rain? That's my biggest concern. My plan would be to get some saddle bags and a windscreen for it and take it south, and out west to the coast. Being in the middle of Alberta I'll be dealing with a lot of cross winds on the highway and once I get out to BC im sure I'll be seeing a fair bit of rain. Not to say i haven't delt with either before and I know a lot of it is just skill but will i be absolutely miserable dealing with either on a long trip?

New owner, 2006 rocket 3, 72k miles

My adventure began about two weeks ago, on the ride home from the auction.

I knew before buying, I'd have to go shopping for parts. Nobody auctions a perfect bike. Biggest problem so far, the previous owner put on Big risers, and rerouted the stock length cables. So clutch, throttle, working but fucked and need to be replaced. Brake line is "okay" with the plastic sheath having worn way against a bolt. I've fixed that bolt such that it won't rub anymore, and the steel cable is in tact.

**So far:**

Burnt out gauge backlights replaced with LED bulbs.

License plate light replaced with LED.

Front turn signals replaced with LED (one was broken and hanging), signal relay replaced with one that can handle mixed led/incandescent.

Oil/filter changed. Final drive oil changed.

Windshield brackets replaced.

Lower wind deflectors added

New battery

Quad lock mounted

Heated grips installed (I ride at lot at night)

(5.75" led headlights were already installed(although I may change these ones out, only about 1/4 of the led elements are lit on lowbeam/drl, they did wire the turn signals in though))

**Bought and in the mail:**

New extended throttle and clutch cables.

Shock bearings

Rear wheel bearings

Fork seals

Ignition relocation kit (ignition is kind of finicky, sometimes have to jiggle the key to get it to light up)

Obd2 tool with the correct kkl protocol

**On the list the minute my old bike sells:**

New tires, tread is Okay but they're 8 years old.

Cush drive (I understand this is a thing that is important, I've never had a shaft bike before, the mechanic who did the inspection tells me I need it)

Brake pads (30%, so no rush)

**Mysteries**:

Zero mechanical history. Local triumph dealers have Zero record of this bike.

2nd gear transmission fix. I understand this year had a pretty serious transmission issue. My engine number is 253XXX so that's After the revision, as best as my research can detail. On the other hand, I have been having the very occasional Slip/loss of power, while accelerating in second gear. It's a fraction of a second, and only happens when accelerating during a curve, never when upright. Could be tire slip? Engine stumble? I don't know. I find it hard to worry about this, on a bike with 72k miles on it, if it was gonna Be a problem, wouldn't it have Been a problem by now?

Rough starts. Cold start, you can hold that starter for 15 seconds and it'll eventually, reluctantly, start. Or you can give it some throttle on start and it goes no problem.

Weird stall. It's happened twice now. Idle drops from 800 to 500, engine start to struggle a bit, usually after about 15 minutes of riding (when it's fully warm?). Revving brings the rpm up, but it goes right back down 500, struggles, and dies. Restarting the engine, starts easy, runs right after that.

Both of the above problems I'm not going to worry about until after I replace the throttle cables, and can check the idle speed control valve, idle stepper motor, and throttle position sensors. Make sure the throttle bodies are balanced while I'm at it. Can't do that until a new/old Obd2 scanner comes in, because unfortunately None of the shiny new ones I have can figure out how to talk to this dinosaur.

Sigh, Lotta work ahead.

Took the class and doing my test in a couple of days. Wish me luck! Got lucky and got this bike with only 500 miles. It does have a small dent on the tank. Since it’s my first bike, I thought it wouldn’t hurt if I dropped it!

Has anyone successfully removed the baffle/DB killer from the Spark Grid-O Euro5+ exhaust (GTR8824TOM)? I have heard that it may be welded and non-removable on the Euro5+ version. Can anyone confirm this?

So my riding season came to an abrupt end,

Riding it how she was meant to be ridden and the engine blew, at a loss currently as I cant afford a new engine right now and the bike isn’t worth a fortune as is.

A big shame as I service it meticulously, 3 oil changes in 7000 miles. Mostly as I had the casings off to fix some other bits and put fresh oil and filter on every time.

An even bigger shame that I’d just recently got:

New fork seals and bushes - 100 miles ago
New brake calliper rebuild - 100 miles ago
New chain and sprocket - 100 miles ago
New Brembo discs and pads - 2.5k ago
New Michelin road 6 tyres - 2.5k ago…

If anyone is based in Teesside UK and had any luck rebuilding these please let me know 😂. Or if someone
needs a frame for a track bike that would be even better.

2025 Triumph Daytona 660 w/ 2,6xx miles for sale at a local dealer is now reduced from $7995 to $7495, to now $6895 all in the span of 2 days.

Is this a red flag? The sudden price drop to me seems a bit sketchy but I’m not well versed in the world of motorcycle sales so I’m not sure

I currently have a 2025 Speed twin 1200 rs. Thinking of adding either a Trident 800 or 765 RS.
Was wondering if anyone has ridden both to see the actual diff in engine performance? Bottom end power, mid range and so on.
