I was thinking of a good Mega Absol team for Pokemon Champion's next Regulation, and I learned you can do a lot more with it than its stats would make people think
Similar to Raichu Y, it's EXTREMELY frail. Many powerful Neutral Attacks either almost KO or OHKO Absol
But with good defensive training, it can survive a lot more than people expect. And it's incredible Attack stat with Sharpness means it doesn't need offensive training to do a lot of damage
It also has Icy Wind, which can combo with Venusaur Sleep Powder to outspeed and Sleep opponents before they attack
What do you think about Mega Absol, and will it be good in the next Regulation?
Edit: Hydreigon’s Draco Meteor is supposed to be 6.3% OHKO, not 2HKO. Basically this Absol will almost always survive one Draco Meteor from a Max Special Attack Hydreigon.

The first picture is the highest I've been this season (and ever, honestly) and I was so happy with it, so happy actually that I really considered starting making content which is a goal of mine from some time ago. Two days ago I decided to play a couple of games and oh god. I got bad luck, thats okay (double flinches + crits, double burn + crit, the usual) but then I ended up like the second picture. I got extremely tilted at the game.
All the games (going up in rank and then going down to hell) were made with the same team, the raichu + staraptor meta team) and then after that I switched to a team I was testing not so long ago with Dragonite and Metagross, but it feels really demotivating to be so low again. The second team kinda works but I know it needs a lot of refining to do, which is why I've been going up and down from mb4 and mb3.
I got really desperate, and wasn't on the best state of mind so I stopped playing, but it still bothers me to have been so high and suddenly lose all my ELO.
So, the question again, how do you guys deal with being tilted/not in the state of mind to rank? Have you guys experience these kinda of downfalls? And if so, how do you overcome it?
(quick note, english is not my first language, so if there are grammatical errors feel free to let me know so I can improve while I'm at it)

Is anybody aware whether Zachary Weed or João Felipe Leite (or any player from Worlds 2026) have posted the team details on their Froslass/Scovilloan team? I would be quite interested in the EV spreads, particularly for Froslass and Sneasler. These two seem to have the most variety besides Basculegion, and I am not particularly satisfied with the EVs I am using. Had a look around Twitter and YouTube, but couldn't find anything so far. Thanks!

Is there an equivalent to https://learncedh.com/ or https://www.dustloop.com/w/Main_Page for Pokemon VGC? I see a lot of pokepastes of the meta teams online, but I want more detailed breakdowns on how to pilot them. I'm looking for writeups that go over things like:

Is there a VGC scene in Vegas? I know the card show scene is huge here but I don’t hear much about VGC. I’ve been getting super invested into champions lately (especially after attending worlds) and would love to compete in irl events.
I know regionals is in December but I might be at another convention in another state that weekend 😵💫 so I’m wondering if there’s anymore smaller local events that I can attend.

Need help with EV spreads as I haven't EVd to survive anything specific; have thought about making base Froslass 151 speed to underspeed modest base Charizard to guarantee weather though.
Zoroark is the reason I built the team, Icy Wind allows speed control+nuking Garchomp when not explicitly threatening it (e.g. disguised as Arc/Farig)+the threat also allows for Froslass to Nasty Plot if the opponent wants to protect. Malice as a STAB option and for weakening enemy HArc and Basc. Wisp allows me to weaken Kingambit and Chomp when needed and to get around Sucker.
Froslass is built with more bulk and Modest since I expect to set up with Nasty Plot most of the time. The build is generic apart from that, did try Veil instead of Plot at some point though.
Adamant max attack Incin allows offensive pressure on Kingambit and Farig which the team otherwise can't hit for much. Passho berry allows it to be a Basc switch-in.
HArc is to explode Zard-Y, Raichu-Y and other faster threats, especially with Helping Hand. I decided to run CC instead of ESpeed since ESpeed didn't feel good in most matches and CC allows me to hit Ttar/Arch in a pinch.
Sneasler is max attack adamant to kill most Kingambits through chople and offers double Fake Out.
Farig has Roar to stop opposing TR and Helping Hand to allow HArc/Froslass to nuke. Psychic and TBolt allow it to do some chip and put things in range of other damage options.
Any suggestions? Think the issue lies more with my play than my team though.

Hey all! I’m looking to get into Pokémon VGC in Eastern Iowa. Anyone know of any locals, events, or groups around Cedar Rapids / Iowa City? Would be great to find out if there are any League Challenges / Cups around the area.
Also happy to join any local Discords if there are some!

The title kinda summarizes it ! ! I just started getting into VGC after this worlds and I was wondering if there was a place I could see the exact spreads for the teams just to help get an idea of what works!!
If there are any other resources I could look at (for teambuilding in general) I'd really appreciate that too!!

With Champions they made Dragon Claw a Slicing move, which means it now gets boosted by Sharpness. However, there isn't a single Pokémon in existence, even outside of Champions, that gets access to both of these.
It would have made sense if Mega Garchomp-Z would have gotten Sharpness, but that isn't the case as we now know. They also didn't give it to any old mons in Champions, like Haxorus or even the old Mega Garchomp, which is such a wasted opportunity.
So whats the idea here ILCA???
It has be be Mega Bax, right? That's kinda the only remaining Mon that would justify this change happening on lauch with Champions. But Thermal Exchange also seems like the kind of signature ability they would keep on the mega, doesn't it?
