Someone told me this might be the cleanest R32 in Canada… what do you think?

I’ve owned quite a few VWs over the years, but this one is definitely my dream build. It’s a Mk4 R32 with a 3.6L BLV VR6 swap. The car has been fully repainted, including the engine bay and underbody. It has brand new brakes, brand new suspension, new wheels with fresh Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, new windshield and rear glass, Euro front and rear lights, Euro seats, and countless OEM+ details. There are still a few small things I’d like to finish, but it’s finally at the point where I’m proud to share it. I’d love to hear what fellow R32 enthusiasts think. Constructive feedback is always welcome.

Red gti is mine, i have audi rotors on it as of now, but I’ve been considering getting the oem bbs rc that came on the 337 and anniversary edition. Been getting a lot of love on the audi ones and was rethinking it over. Just want opinions

I have a 2002 Volkswagen cabrio and the timing belt is stock but I only have 69k miles, should I change my timing belt soon? I feel like a 24 year old timing belt might be a little too old or something

Send help with aaz

My 1.9 TD AAZ won’t start. I tried opening the fuel injector pipe for the 4th injector and cranking the engine. Fuel should come out of the opened injector pipe, right? but its not.

I checked all the wires going to the injection pump and sensors. I’m getting barely 10 V on some of them and around 12 V on others.

In addition, the oil pressure light is blinking and the glow plug indicator light is not coming on. I also tried to measure the oil pressure, and I got this result.

Could this be an electrical issue, or what else could cause this? I’ve also included some pictures of the injection pump.

Windshield distortion 26 Jetta

Upvotes

I’ve had four OEM windshields replaced under warranty on my new 2026 Jetta, and all had noticeable optical distortion in the driver’s line of sight. Two dealership technicians confirmed it, but VW’s regional representative disagreed, so no further replacements are being authorized. Has anyone else experienced this? Dealership said their hands are tied at this point.

2019 Jetta Ignition Switch Issue

Hello! I need some expert advice, please. I have a 2019 Jetta. The car will not start when left out in the heat/hot sun.  Sometimes the car will start for about 10 to 20 seconds before the air conditioning and the electronics start shutting down, then a message appears saying, Starter System Faulty.  The engine will continue to run, but the car is not drivable.  As long as the car is parked in the garage and out of the heat, it will start and run fine.  There is an active recall for the 2019 Jetta for this exact issue (NHTSA Recall 28H7), which was determined to be a faulty ignition switch; however, this Jetta falls outside of the production months that were covered in the recall by a couple of months and Volkswagen says they will not cover it, even though a mechanic determined it was the same issue. I think Volkswagen should cover it, but that’s something out of my control. The private shop Im using specializes in European automobiles and says they need to order a lock cylinder for ignition starter switch with read coil, without key and a steering lock, which I assume is the complete ignition switch assembly. He says this item is only available from Volkswagen in Germany and could take six weeks to receive the part because they have to custom configure it to work with the existing immobilizer chip and key. Can someone please confirm if this all this is accurate? Do both parts mentioned have to be replaced
? Are there any alternatives or other ways to get this part? Can a Volkswagen dealership get the parts faster than a private mechanic? I’m willing to accept whatever the outcome is and know it’s not going to be cheap. I just want to be sure I’m taking the best path forward since it’s going to suck not being able to get this car back for weeks. If anyone can offer any expertise, I would greatly appreciate it appreciate it! Thanks!

Passat 1.5tsi 2019 estate issue

I have recently bought a 2019 vw Passat 1.5 tsi estate and all was fine until yesterday whilst driving away from lights felt a juddering and flashing engine light. Continued driving as no where to pull over and it went off. Came to another stop pulled away same thing. Again the light went off. Next lights up a hill same juddering and flashing light for about 10 seconds then switched off. Managed to pull over and put my cheap Obd into it. Came up with codes p0302 and 0303. Cylinders 2 & 3 misfires. Turned off the engine and had to get home so drive the three miles back home with no light or problem.

Booked into garage in a week but would like some ideas. It has the act system shutting off two cylinders to save fuel but this has been working. Only averaging 27-30 mpg too. Car has done 83000 miles and had spark plugs changed in 2024 at 66k miles

Any ideas would be appreciated hopefully it isn’t ruined.

🇨🇦 2026 GTI Autobahn test drive

Hi everyone,

I’m going to be test driving and seriously considering a 🇨🇦 2026 GTI Autobahn with the leather seating package.

For those who own one, how do you like it as a daily driver? I’m especially curious about the Harman Kardon stereo, ride comfort, performance, fuel economy and overall build quality.

Anything you love, hate, or think I should specifically look for during the test drive?

Would you buy it again?

1.5 TSI 150 feeling sluggish when setting off

Just bought a MK8 golf with the 1.5 TSI 150 in it, brilliant car but can’t help but notice it feels a little sluggish when at low RPM, might be just because I’m used to NA cars but would like some insight, thanks

2021 VW Atlas SEL

Ok, looking for information because the dealers been worthless unless it involves pocketing money. I’ve owned this car since it was brand new. All service performed in accordance with the service guidelines. Below are a list of issues I’ve had and either resolved on my own or are still going on. Hope to get info and possibly help anyone else having the same issues.

Uneven brake wear on the rear(inner pad vs outer) at approximately 25k miles. Dealer said it was normal. Front wore by 40k. Swapped out from the OEM recommendation to ceramic and they’ve functioned perfectly.

Drivers side rear 3rd row seat fails to latch without multiple attempts. Dealer still hasn’t figured it out. Said I should just keep playing with it and deal with the problem. Not really acceptable in my opinion. Looks like there was a recall at some point.

Drivers side front “thud” when turning right at any kind of difference in grade. They thought it was the steering rack. Replaced it and still not corrected.

Apple play frequently disconnects. Infotainment replaced and problem persists.

Air conditioning not blowing cold on 85-90 degree day. In for service today. Service tech said the system has the wrong refrigerant. Confirmed the system hasn’t been tempered with. They want me to pay to purge the system and correct what I can only assume was a problem from the factory.

Any advice or help with the later issues would be helpful from folks that have had similar issues.
