We had three guys in a pickup truck delivering ours! One driving, one sitting on either side of the bed yeeting papers into yards/onto driveways. I just had the most vivid memory of that huge THUNK sound that the Sunday paper made.
You grant permission when you order a package. I was raised to be thankful for someone’s labor. If walking across my lawn makes someone’s work day easier… then by all means.
I agree 100% on the delivery... as far as the lawn goes if its pristine then yea stay off of it if you can... but for an overworked and under payed delivery guy... just dont drive on it.

Funnily enough, the post office literally trains it's employees to walk on lawns if they have a walking route. Customers can request their postal worker to not walk on their lawn and if the local post office is competent, that request will be followed.
That being said, Amazon specifically trains to not walk on lawns lmao.
I'm literally laughing at all of this, I somehow offended a lot of people by saying you shouldn't throw things at houses. This is absolutely hilarious, no crying from me

You're right he doesn't have to respect me, but part of his job is dealing with the public and what he did isn't acceptable behavior in public. People aren't allowed to throw things at peoples houses. This guy should be in a warehouse if he wants to throw shit
Sounds like something you should take up with Amazon 🤷♂️. As nice as it would be, not everyone has a universal understanding of what is or is not respectful or acceptable.
For me personally, I'm able to draw a distinction between throwing a t-shirt onto my porch and a rock through my window. They're not the same thing. They're not both just "throwing stuff at my house", there's a distinction there.
Can you elaborate? What's disrespectful about it? The driver didn't know the homeowner and was just tossing wrapped clothing that wasn't gonna get damaged or do any damage onto the porch to save himself some time. Nothing looked malicious or like he was trying to break anything. So where's the disrespect? A lot of people aren't seeing the problem including me.
You're getting downvoted, but you're right. It's not necessarily a damage thing, it's a basic respect thing. I deliver for a living and would absolutely get shit canned if I got caught doing this
Yes there is! Amazon should have a tshirt cannon for any clothing deliveries. Turret on top of the delivery van. It would save the drivers from having to get up/down from the truck and save time.
