Not my bike, but I would guess it’s from a lot of skidding

he looks more like a dog toy than a blanket now lol
I chose this blanket as my favorite toy when I was two after asking for my dad on a road trip. my dad has never lived with me, and as a little kid, I couldn’t fully understand why I couldn’t see him all the time.
in a way, this damn thing was a replacement for my dad.
Edit: What the fuck is wrong with yall? The amount of times I’ve had to report comments for breaking the first and EASIEST rule of the sub “don’t be a dick” is insane.
To answer some questions from folks that I couldnt respond to before the post got locked or that I’ve been asked too many times, and also some clarification.
My dad ain’t absent, my parents are just divorced.
I am in therapy, not for having a beloved childhood toy.
He has a retirement date where he will be sewn into my favorite IKEA blahaj.
I send all of y‘all who sent kind comments the best wishes. Stay young at heart.
Plus thank you mods for everything that you do! I’m so sorry about the reports on here.

Complete with stickers from elementary school. This book sparked my love for Tolkien, and I now have a LOTR tattoo on my ribs ♡

Pretty sure I got the original one for free at least 10 years ago. Has obviously been through a lot and was finally slipping off the sunglass arms. Decided to get the same black strap again to see how much the color has changed over the years. Nice fade!

To be clear (like the swampwater), it was pristine, gorgeous, knee-high swamp, crystal clear and beautiful. Quite often I walked barefoot through them, but often I did not.
These have also survived walking through the snow, over miles and miles of asphalt, dirt, and grass, and have been with me for 15+ years. Clarks Unstructured brand.
They used to have one or two leather-like insole layers, but most of that has cracked off. Just peel away the pointy parts, and it’s good to go! The rubbery like bottom layer is comfy anyway.
The sole has been glued on a few times now though, and I fear for when this stops holding. The sole is still thick, somehow hasn’t worn through or cracked from countless soaking/drying cycles, and I don’t think this brand exists any more. IF (and that’s a big it) I ever replace them, I’d love to be able to transfer these straps to the new sandals, they’ve been through so much with me.

At work breakroom. Things keep getting stuck, so this is the result after years of people shaking the whole thing to un-stuck their candy bars.

Worn about a year as a welding/pipefitting apprentice, and I still use them!

Had these now for almost two years. I hope I can get them resoled soon. Btw I wore the leather off the tip of boots. I added an epoxy coating to help extend the life of the shoes more.
