I’ve been using Garmin StreetCross on my Yamaha XMAX for a few days, and I’m wondering if anyone has figured out ways to make the experience better. I use an XMAX, but I guess this could apply to other bikes. The following are issues I have faced:

1. Searching for destinations is awful. The app doesn't seem to have nearly as many destination names in the system. I usually have to go to google maps, find my destination, copy the address, then put it in StreetCross. Is there a better way?
2. Route selection, especially tolls, makes no sense. I’m in NYC, where there can be several reasonable routes with very different travel times and tolls. Google Maps will show me all the options - StreetCross seems to boil this down to “toll” or “no toll,” without giving me enough information. Yesterday, I selected the faster "toll" route to go home, but Garmin gave me a route that was significantly longer than the route I knew. I eventually ignored it and took my usual route, cutting roughly 30 minutes off its ETA. Is there a better way to see routes on app before selecting them?
3. THE DINGS This one drove me crazy. I got my XMax around the same time I got the new Pixel 11. My Pixel kept making three little ding sounds while I was at home, walking around, and even riding the train. Nothing appeared in notification history, so I spent forever trying to figure out what my new phone was doing. Eventually I realized it was StreetCross. Apparently the app continues running and giving speed/camera/etc. alerts even when I’m nowhere near the bike and havent opened the app. Even force-quitting it doesn’t seem to reliably stop this - so i now have to pause the app when i'm done using it.

I don’t want my phone mounted on the bike. My old phone’s OIS was destroyed on my old bike, and I’d rather not keep making warranty claims. Also the phone has too many distractions I don't need.

Sidebar: Why does Yamaha lock the compartment we use to charge our devices and make us turn off the engine to access our phones if we want to change destinations or use our phone for any other reason. Make it lock when the bike is in off position, why lock it just because the engine is on!?

If I can't improve the StreetCross experience, I’m considering installing a small Android Auto/CarPlay display and just using Google Maps instead, which will makes the built-in navigation functionality feel kind of pointless. Before I give up on StreetCross: has anyone actually gotten it working well? Any settings, tricks, or workarounds I’m missing?

My local Yamaha dealership posted this 2000’ R6. Is 45k too many km for this bike?
Any know issues I should try to assess?

Need expertise...Currently swapping a 2015 engine into my 2008 R6. Everything hooked up correctly, cranks but wont turn over. Got spark, got fuel. Everything on Google said it was a straight plug n play until I came across a deep-cut about the pickup timing sensors being different in those years.

Going to try and swap the sensor from my '08 engine in and see if it works. If that doesn't, I'm at a complete loss. Anyone know of anything else to check for? Something else I might be missing other than the pickup timing?

I have under a week left in this engine warranty so if it doesn't work I'll probably shell out $300 to ship it back and an extra $500 for a 2008 engine...but hoping it doesn't come to that!

Heard a strange noise 14 r6 thought it might be the CCT took off timing cover and saw those metal shavings, how screwed is it.

I’m seeing different videos of this.

This motor stopped cooling. Mechanic at a reputable shop changed the impeller and cleaned everything out.

I just barrel tested it at home and I don’t see any telltale anywhere. I’m not getting the sense that the engine is overheating but…

My memory is that the telltale should be very obvious and straight down from the back of the motor. (Not out and to the side like most bigger motors)

Ive got a new to me 1999 Yamaha R6 which will crank but won’t start and actually fire up. I suspect the data tool veto EVO is causing issues Ive “de-spiked” as I had the battery off for about a day. I’ve cleaned the carbs it will get very close to firing up when I adjust the choke but it still won’t get up and running to idle. Does anyone what’s wrong? Or what the wire mean (them black ones in specific). Fuses are good on the bike all have continuity Any other questions you need please let me know I’d love to get to the bottom of this.

So I was trying to remove the headers on my R6 so I could do the muffler box delete mod. Only problem is, one out of the eight studs decided to break even after I used heat and PB Blaster. So I have about 1/4–1/2” of the stud to play with before it became flush with the head. Some methods I’ve tried so far are welding a washer and nut with my lil 110V welder. Tried that about a dozen times with no luck so far. I also tried two different stud extractors, which both failed😊 So I’m stumped atp and am reaching out for any tips. Thanks 😭🥀
