Cherish it. My old men were indistinguishable to anyone but me (they were so different! But to the outside eye, they were the same black fluffy cat). They snuggled and cuddled and window watched and did everything in a pair for almost 2 decades. When they started getting really old, one had some seizures and got a little weird and sickly and the double take ended. Until the last few weeks of the seizure boy's life, when they seemed to reconnect. I had to put the other one down about 6 months after the first, and I miss them both so much.
Oh my heart, almost two decades together is such a beautiful little life they shared. That photo really says it all, they knew they were each other’s family right until the end.
Except for my pair of littermates, who want nothing to do with each other.
However, we suspect Siefer ate Skittle's brain in utero, because it's the only way to explain why he is frighteningly intelligent and she's got the intellect of a plant.
That would still require them to work together at least a little. Instead Skittle avoids Siefer like the plague, and Siefer torments her by trying to sniff her, staring at her with malicious glee, and then chasing her while she hisses and growls.
This is because I fostered a Trojan horse and kept half the litter.
I originally had 4, but then the owner of one of my ex-fosters passed away, so I took in his 2 cats for him temporarily until I can find them a good home.

i would have never noticed that spot on the back omg!! i noticed the mustache bc i thought it was so cool how insanely symmetrical the white was and immediately the next pic its not symmetrical anymore.
big brother sophie always has his sister shawn and my assistant gus t.t. showbiz (the extra t if for extra talent) nearby. their cousins dean and frasier are quite the pair as well.
Better question is why both iOS and Android change the correctly spelled "cats" to "cars" 90% of the time.
It's not like we type "caf" and it has to choose between two letters nearby, no. It takes the correctly spelled word, and says "nope. I really think that you mean an automobile is using the litter box."
I know the struggle. I adopted a brown tabby in 2015. In 2021, the CDS sent me another brown tabby. In 2023, it sent me, you guessed it, a third brown tabby. All boys, too.
Maybe someday the CDS will send me a different model.
I loved when my boys did this lol. Littermates that sadly got separated when my ex and I split. She didn’t keep her word and before I could come back with others in tow to get the other cats(airline only let me take one with me since I was solo flying home), she rehomed them and I don’t know where. Forever miss my void boy, but orange man came home with me
Cats mirror others as a sign of affection. This is why they will get in the way of you sitting at your desk working, they want to mirror what you're doing.
You can do it too: When your cat is sitting and watching something, sit next to it and watch the same thing. Or when it's lying down, lie down next to it and try to copy its position.
I miss having my boys together. Tigger passed away in February and it’s just my Quasi now. I look back fondly on the years they had one another. Your babies are so cute!
My grandparents had gotten 2 cats about 17 years ago, and one of them was always attached to my grandfather. They had to put one of the cats down a few years ago, which made the other cat sad and she started losing a bunch of weight. She became even more attached to my granddad. When he became sick, she wouldn’t allow the nurses near him without hissing, trying to protect him. He passed away January 30th, and she had to be put down 6 days later. She loved him so much.
