Looking for a specific pattern Need Help, lost baby blanket in a fire and need to remake in 6 weeks

Hi Everyone,

My house got destroyed in a fire last week, and the only thing that I want back is my baby's blanket. I am 33 weeks pregnant, and this blanket was mine from a couple of decades ago and was used for my daughter as well.

My only option to replace the blanket is to remake it, but I can't figure out what kind of stitch this is, or how the border was originally made.

The stitching allowed the blanket to be very thin but still warm. You could fold this blanket end over end seven times and still breathe through it like there was nothing there, but somehow it was still very warm.

If possible, is someone able to make me a pattern for this? I don't know the first thing about crochet but I want my daughters to have this blanket.

It was roughly 30 in x 55 in if that helps.

Pattern help Help with a amigurumi Kuchipatchi Pattern please - can't make sense of it.

So I brought my 5 year old a Tamagochi nano. She was thrilled when a little duck looking character was hatched (Kuchipatchi). Unfortunately tamagochi life spans are not particularly long even when looked after and now her tamagochi "Quakers" has passed on (RIP) and she's upset she didn't even get to say goodbye.

I've decided to crochet a little amigurumi to cheer her up. She's thrilled. Unfortunately I can't understand the instructions for the mouth at all and need some help! Anyway I try and do it or read it I don't understand it. Will some kind soul out there be able to decipher it from the photos or instructions? I'm hoping someone with experience will be able to enlighten me

Hello! I have gotten it into my head recently that I want to crochet my own wedding veil but I'm having trouble finding patterns. I'm new to lace crochet so I was curious if anyone has any suggestions on where I might find a pattern similar to the one pictured below/how to get a similar effect? Thanks in advance!

Looking for recommendations In search of an iced coffee cup cozy pattern that isn’t overly complicated

Can anyone recommend an iced coffee cup cozy that is advanced-beginner friendly? I’ve found a couple online but they’re a bit more complicated or aren’t clearly written. I prefer written patterns over video (although video is nice if I get stuck…I just don’t want to have to watch the whole time) and while I’d prefer free, I’m happy to purchase a pattern if needed.

Looking to make a crochet version of something like this. I might just end up buying from this shop because it looks lovely - but I've crocheted my accessories and would love to be able to say that I made the whole thing :) I'm a little torn on the idea of crochet pants/shorts/bloomers but again would be fun to say I made the whole thing. But maybe I'll buy the bottoms from them and make the bodice. Anyway - any plus size-friendly pattern suggestions for the bodice or bloomers would be appreciated!! I already made the hat so don't need that pattern.

EDIT: did not mean to put the same picture 4 times oops don't know how to fix that

I saw a pattern for this on etsy but it the pictures looked like AI. The picture is of a completed product but I want to make one myself that looks similar. The patterns that I did come across had super long leaves and just didn’t have the vibe i was looking for like this one. Has anyone seen a really similar pattern to this one anywhere?

Pattern help tapestry project - not coming together with a yarn change

Thumbnail etsy.com
1 Upvotes

I’m working on this pattern and trying to make a yarn substitution work. The pattern calls for weight 3 yarn, but I couldn’t find what I wanted in that weight, so I’m using weight 4 and moved up to a 6 mm hook.
I know changing the yarn weight is going to affect the pattern, and I’m fine with the finished piece coming out larger. What I’m trying to figure out is what adjustments I need to make to get the heavier yarn to work correctly.

Right now, my bottom edge is starting to curve and I seem to be losing stitches as I go. For anyone who has successfully worked a pattern like this in a heavier yarn: would you change the hook size further, adjust the starting/turning stitches, or make another modification to compensate for the heavier yarn?
I’d really like to make the materials I already have work rather than switch back to weight 3.

Is this AI? Purchased pattern… it may be AI, can it still be made?

EDIT: thanks for all the feedback and pointing out the details. I appreciate the extra work that some people have done to find some patterns, I have passed along all the info to my friend!

A friend of mine was telling me about this pattern she just bought (and was very excited). In passing, she mentioned she bought it on Etsy and that she couldn’t find it on Ravelry. This made alarm bells start blowing off in my brain and looked through the posting and I don’t think it’s a credible pattern. She has already purchased it, and she is very excited about it, specially mentioning that she didn’t find a comparable one on Ravelry that she wanted.
I have no experience with AI patterns, are they still make-able? Does anyone have experience with this pattern?

Looking for recommendations Mosaic crochet blanket help - does this AI listing look like it could be legit?

I saw this pattern for sale on Etsy and besides having only 1 sale and no reviews, the pictures look very AI to me https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/4565675584/nordic-mosaic-crochet-blanket-pattern?ref=shop_home_active_2&pro=1&dd=1&logging_key=87b9a6fddf3a34c40246d7ab1a5b8661df2df1be%3A4565675584

I love the look of the blanket and am tempted to try it given the Etsy money back guarantee (maybe a bit foolish of me!) but having never done mosaic crochet before (but lots of other blankets) I wonder if this even looks like something that could be achievable with mosaic crochet. Would appreciate any advice/recommendations of similar patterns. Thanks!

UPDATE 2.0
I just want to clarify that I knew it was called a granny square but I specifically liked this design and could not find something similar! Some granny squares is more square looking in their design but this one were more round/bubbly :) -TheRecipeGirl

UPDATE!!

Thank you to all of you who offered help - I will look at your explanations and links and try a bit each day:) Im also thinking about keeping calling patterns for recipes because apparantly I’m a cutie and a trendstarter ;)

This seemed like a toxic community at first but now I don’t think I will be scared to post here again!

«I found this on pinterest but its AI and I cant find a recipe that looks exactly like this one. Im basically a beginner but this one looked nice as it seems to be mostly the same stitch type:) Sorry for any misspells im from Norway!»

Pattern help How do I make this adorable bunny coin purse's face? The pattern looks broken

Thumbnail gallery
4 Upvotes

Hello!

I've been crocheting for around 8 months now and I'm pretty decent at reading patterns. I found this adorable bunny coin purse on pinterest-

https://pin.it/4Et02JFDg

It appears to be from some Chinese platform, likely Xiaohongshu according to my Google image search. It says "Drawn/Drafted by Xu Xianxia" at the top. And it's supposed to use raffia. I'm using cotton though as I found raffia too intimidating.

I made the base of the pouch but I can't figure out how to make the head of the bunny. I can tell the pattern starts in the middle and I'm supposed to make both sides of the face from it but there's a lot I can't figure out.

What do the < in the chains of the ears mean?

How am I supposed to make the 8th row and beyond for each side of the face?

It also says "Sew it together first then add single stitches as the red part shows" at the bottom and I can't tell if that's supposed to apply for the face as well

And for the body, I don't understand how to make the blue parts or where they fit into the pattern.

I tried to find the original pattern but I couldn't find it nor anything like it on ravelry.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Looking for a specific pattern Can anyone provide tutorial or pattern for these roses?

Post image

I'm thinking of making a crochet hook case and want to add the rose thingy(white part included) in the pic on my cover but I haven't managed to find a single tutorial or pattern for this. Either it's people who are selling the item but not the pattern or the page is in a language i don't speak . I'm unsure whether there's a name for it and if that's why I cant find any pattern. Also i want to include that ive been crocheting for just 2 weeks so I cant really figure out how to make things just by myself yet. So would really appreciate your help.

Pattern help How do I turn in a pattern and do hdc without adding rows?

Thumbnail

I'm working on this baby dress for a 12 month. I finished the yoke, but it's too big. I'm trying to understand what it means when they say "...across, turn 70". So I did row 1and when I got to the end i turned my work did the 55 HDC but that created another row. So each row is becoming two rows. I'm very confused cause the number of stitches also got messed up. The second picture is what it looks like after I completed the yoke part.

Was i supposed to turn differently or work in the hdc somehow on the same row? Any help will be appreciated! Thank you!

Pattern help Need a little help with a crochet pattern blanket border please!

I’m fairly new to crochet and I’ve been working a pattern I found for a blanket and I am really struggling to understand the border.
The rest of the blanket was fine, I’ve tried to reach out to the creator but I haven’t heard anything back yet.

The border part is as follows:

Round 1 (WS): Ch1, [2hdc in first st of row, 1hdc in each st to last st of row, 2hdc in last st, continue around t to work into row-ends, 3hdc in first row-end, place marker in first of these 3 sts as this will be a corner st, 1hdc in each row-end (you may wish to adjust the cadence to suit your tension) to last row-end, 3hdc in last row-end, place marker in last of these 3 sts as this will be a corner] twice, ss to top of first st, turn

Round 2: (RS): Ch1, *3sc in marked corner st, 1sc in each st to next marker; rep from * to end, ss to top of first st, remove markers, do not turn

I finished the main section of the blanket, and from this border pattern it looks as though the hdc is going around one edge, one row edge and the starting edge(beginning chains). But not the other row edge? And the hdc is supposed to be done twice, only for three edges? I’m not sure if that is correct or if I have confused myself reading this pattern over and over šŸ˜…

Round 2 is a little confusing as well, I’d be grateful if anyone could help me to understand this part of the pattern better as this blanket is a gift and I’d like to finish it soon and don’t want to mess it up right at the end šŸ¤žšŸ¼
