I guess I don't need a Lore anymore

I had an Archon Plate that I kept for the specific purpose of being an Enigma base. It has finally fulfilled its destiny. BTW, I used an Archon Plate because I figured that caster builds usually use a Spirit Monarch which requires a higher strength requirement anyway.

Been loving the summon necro on the hardcore ladder this season so far. Got my first up to 55 and second up to 69, with a stupid death in a public game. Anyways not upset about it, going to start up another.

One thing I noticed is that the summon necro is significantly slower in hell compared to the other acts at lower levels. Still able to kill but just very slow. This is with skele, mastery both maxed, running a might merc with remaining points split between CE and revive. Am I missing anything to feeling stronger in hell?? Is that all gear dependant?

Sorry forgot to mention using amp damage as main curse.

Got a sunder from a lvl 1 in chaos, -10% feels really good man. Not too keen about the other stats except the fhr but the -10 makes up for it :) will suit my javazon well!

I am getting ready to do ubers on ladder and crafted these on my third try. I got lucky.

Decided (probably way too late) that I wanted to get a 4 socket weapon to use the insight runeword with my act 2 merc.

I am in normal difficulty, on act 5 *post-Larzuk quest*

Is there any way to get this before nightmare difficulty?

Hello, I am on SSF and i’ve been playing blizzard sorc for a while now. I have never tried Nova so I wanna give it a go. I see that infinity self use is bis, However that Will not be part of my build. I Might get an infinity soon but that Will go to my emilio. I have to share it with my javazon. I have not found griffins either. How would you gear an Nova sorc without griffins or infinity.

Is anyone using a loot filter like the old Simple Loot Filter and successfully working after ROTW? I am trying to get it to work with my multi loader and having to go through a mod manager which wasn’t a thing before. I have reached out in the discords but it’s mainly pointing fingers at the other software. I appreciate them coming out with the native D2R loot filter but it’s not for me and any search just brings up the ROTW filter and ungodly amount of post about it, so hard to find any troubleshooting or guides for help.

I play offline single player, and asked some gear questions a month ago or so, and since then I didn’t find arreats face, or ik armor so… I’m just gonna wing it and hope for the best 😆

I got a 10/10 barb torch and an anni I forget the stats on

For now I will use 3/3 Bloodletter and a head striker, and see how I make out player 1 in trav.

I have a grief i can borrow from my smiter, as well as gore riders if needed. And I have the phaseblade that’s not lightsaber

Hey-hey! Just wanted to post a little snippet of my experience in the first short 9~ish hours of going into this game wholly blind.

So as I said, I was going into this completely blind. My coworker mentioned the game a few times and Diablo II has always been on my backlog to try, and additionally I've been a fan of dungeon crawlers my whole life. So I caved and got the OG + LoD on Blizzard (not paying 50 bucks when I can play it for 20 with mods if I want!).

I was expecting not much special, just a really solid dungeon crawler with good builds. But I wasn't expecting just how good it feels to grind out levels and go through dungeons and craft my own builds. It feels like Nethack, but on crack! You're just constantly scrambling for items and seeing what you can make work, and going through with it. Because sure, that's the best I have for now. The same goes for the skill system. It's so incredibly elegant and simple, yet so effective at introducing a staggering amount of things you could attempt.

Nor did I expect how incredibly intuitive the build crafting feels. I was expecting it to be rather obtuse both due to Old Game Jank (TM) and poor balancing shoehorning you into a few playstyles. But so far, it feels like I could be doing anything, as long as it synergises with eachother and is optimised for its purpose. It's genuinely incredible.

All in all, I'm very happy to be playing this game, and very happy to have gone in blind—the sheer wonder that I'm feeling just discovering things and learning how the systems work is second to none the best part of gaming that I haven't felt in a while.

I just beat hell Baal for the first time, and I noticed the Lister he spawned was really strong (he almost killed me lol)

I got him bound, but should I keep rerolling or is this good?

I have found several +3 Warm; and +3 Fireball (not both at the same time).

I reccon static field is also useful. No?

I have been searching anywhere from half an hour a day to a couple hours for five days.

I've been playing single player for a month and I finally have an Enigma. And my game has opened up considerably. Higher player count, faster runs, the whole nine yards. However with that comes extra loot. And even though I'm keeping 16 squares in my inventory free. It's trips to town non stop. I have been considering the mod on Nexusmods that adds a separate inventory for charms, but I'm scared it can mess up my chronicles, which compleation is the long term goal of this playthrough. I'm wondering if someone has installed this mod and what are the results?

UPDATE: I backed up my save files and tried it - works perfectly. Goodbye inventory management!

Either chains or the defiler plus freezing/ice arrow from a zon makes the monsters bug out and become invincible.

Has anyone seen this and is blizzard aware of it?

I’m revisiting this beauty, on 1.10 for the largest nostalgia factor and got me thinking:

Would I still play if there would be no gems, runes or charms?
Never found a good use for them (my teenage ass was stuck on lvl 76) so I’m probably still a noob, but never really saw the appeal.

What do you think? As a single player experience are runes/charms important for you?

Arreat's was a fun drop since it's chronicle for me and ... sadly I don't even play Barbs in HC. Several others but not much noteworthy.

Found Angelic's saber at least 4 times tonight. Ridiculous.

Just hit 89 on Hardcore Ladder with this Warlock (pure Demon summoner).

Hi all, I’m playing ES/Hex:Purge Warlock on a relatively new account, softcore non-ladder. I’m at Level 83 after respeccing into this build on advice from folks here and it seems to be working well. But I’m struggling with survivability in Act V Hell.

I think one big upgrade for me could be switching into HOTO/Spirit for my weapon and offhand. I’m currently running Arioc’s (+2) and a Rhyme grimoire. As I understand it, this would be a straight upgrade with almost no tradeoffs: right?

And I could use some help for my Merc, who can’t stop dying. He’s running Insight on an Eth Partizan and a Blood helmet.

How could I improve all of our gear? Thanks!
