There doesn’t seem to be any news for the English dub on when it will be available in the UK and it’s been well over a year. I know it exists and I know licensing issues happen but what is actually going on?

Since theirs many things they skipped in the movie,

Like the highschool saga,

And how gamma 1& 2 were made as:

Since there made on trunks and goten moves,

And many more.

I don't know much about Goku's American voice actor at all in all honesty, but every time I hear about him, it's something negative. Do you think a replacement of Goku's dub VA would go over well?

My theory of why black Frieza/Freeza didn't kill Goku or Vegita is that he sees the growth and power-ups he got from fighting Goku and knows the only way he can get more powerful than the destruction gods, angels, and the Zenos is having Goku pushing him to become stronger. Unsure if this was suggested before but haven't seen anyone suggest it

We know who Uub is, but he really just comes out of nowhere in Z and is strong enough to surprise Goku.
Then Goku leaves to go train him, presumably as part of the next generation of Earth's Z fighters.

But this robs us, and Uub, of what Goku got.
Experience. And a journey of discovery and learning.
A huge point of Goku's story is him gaining experience, learning right from wrong, becoming less naive, experiencing loss, and growing as a person. Uub immediately being trained by Goku to become extremely strong skips all of that.

When Goku got trained by the various masters, a big part of it was him going out there and getting experience as well.

Potentially in the future, we might get something post Z, and it will probably just be a time skip to showing Uub being super strong, much older, and getting close to Goku in strength and then off he goes for an adventure, joining others, after that.

I don't want that. I would want to have a Dragon Ball style adventure with Uub so we watch him grow as a person, not just in strength.

I think it would be much better for it to be changed so he meets Goku during Super. He wants to train under Goku, but Goku says he needs to go out there and get experience, like he did.
Then we get a whole arc of Uub doing so, going out there, experiencing the world as Goku did, learning how he learned.

Then in end of Z they have their fight, Goku realizes how much he's grown, and then agrees to train him.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that since Toriyama already made end of Z, and now he's gone, nobody would ever rewrite or change it because that would be thought of as disrespectful to him and his work.

Jiren possesses unmatched discipline, tactical awareness, and raw defensive power. However, Broly gets stronger the longer he fights and refuses to stay down.

Can Jiren crush Broly fast enough to negate his growth, or does Broly eventually outscale Jiren's peak power?

People like to talk about Gohan fighting Cell, and when Goku goes super saiyan for the first time, and those are memorable scenes, but...

There are many moments in the series that are amazing but not as talked about.

Krillin's first death is really shocking and seeing Goku's intense anger makes it a memorable scene. I think this is overshadowed as Krillin's second death was associated with Goku going super saiyan, and more memorable for most people. Seeing Goku bury Vegeta is also striking, the fact he does it by hand for someone he fought fiercely with. Vegeta's second death, like Krillin's is usually talked about more. I think the fact Goku treats a villain (at the time) with such humanity and respect...It's a lovely scene and very sad. I also like the scene when Goku says goodbye to Goten, it's a very sad but sweet moment. It wasn't really a focus of the arc, but I like how they grew closer as father and son.

I do see some talk about the scenes above, but I do think they're a little underrated. Almost no one puts them in their top tens list, which is understandable. What are some moments you think are underrated?

im gonna read the manga first but when im gonna watch the anime should i watch in sub or dub and normal z or z kai?

What are some cool things Yamcha has ever done?

I’ll give him these:

- He and Puar stopped Great Ape Goku
- He got with Bulma
- He has cool looking moves. Wolf Fang Fist and Sokidan.
- He has a cool design sometimes w the long hair

But I need real Yamcha fans to step up and be heard. Why do you defend him?

Why is it easier to make assumptions about a stranger than to praise a character you get so defensive over?

absolutely everything in super has to be a reference or callback to something its getting annoying first it was super sayian god which wasnt a bad parallel to super sayian but then resurrection of nostaglia came where everything is just a reference to something then the badly injected cell max in super hero for a forced parallel to the cell games

I had always wondered this since it takes place after the namek arc where Goku learns instant transmission but only used it in the return of cooler not in coolers revenge

And I'm sorry I don't understand all the hype for Gogeta like one thing I liked was of course seeing Gogeta in action

I understand Gogeta needed to end the fight quickly but come on too fast

Why ism't Devil Man recruited as a Z Fighter?

On p. 34 of Daizenshuu 7, the time traveling chart lists Age 784 as the year Future Trunks departs to the past and Age 764 as when he arrives to kill Mecha Freeza. This 20-year difference makes sense given that Trunks states he’s from 20 years in the future. However, when he reads that Cell’s time machine is from Age 788, he says that’s three years ahead of his departure year.

Question 1: If we assume he’s referring to the departure year of his first trip (killing Mecha Freeza), shouldn’t it be Age 785 rather than 784 (788 - 3 = 785)? Accordingly, instead of 764, shouldn’t his arrival year be Age 765?

I’ve read that Daizenshuu staff factored in Future Bulma’s mention of an eight-month charge-up time to subtract a year here, but I don’t understand why they would do that, especially since it’s not necessitated by that dialogue.

Question 2: Why should we assume he’s referring to his first trip? When he says Age 788 is “three years further in the future… from when I left,” he could easily be talking about his second departure to the past, i.e., his current trip. This seems like a reasonable assumption because, after he checks the panel and sees the machine arrived about four years ago, he specifies it had been there for a year “before I came the last time.”

That he simply says “from when I left” in his initial remark suggests he’s talking about his present trip, otherwise he probably would’ve specified he meant his first, as he did in the subsequent remark. If he’s talking about the first trip in both quotes, why would he be specific in one and not the other?

I understand that the base kaio-Ken is same as x2 so was that an error from the creator or just a bad dub? Also from what we saw Goku said Kaio-Ken it was a short burst for nappa but x2-x3 seem sustained so does x2 just make it last longer?

So if this question has been asked before, y'all can remove it. But this something I've been thinking about while watching another series who's name won't be said for the sake of the rules of this subreddit.

Saiyans are able to conquer planets as stated in the canon. They have the power to. But what about if they could've learned to become Super Saiyan like Vegeta teaching Cabba. Or even train enough to prepare for Frieza. Unless they did it already and Frieza still ended them then I missed something.

Imagine if when Goku met Vegeta and Nappa, they had the ability to turn Super Saiyan. Maybe they got to a level where they are equal to the Frieza Force. The power scaling would be out of wack but it would be interesting to think.

I would imagine how it would be like if Goku was able to meet his father if he didn't die due to Frieza. Or even go more back to see if the Saiyans become strong enough to handle Frieza before he destroyed the planet. Maybe even the series changes where Goku joins the Saiyans to fight the Frieza Force. There's an arc where Broly Is welcomed to the Saiyan empire with Vegeta as it's ruler and not King Vegeta.

If there's any info I missed about the Saiyans please let me know because maybe I missed something from the manga especially with the newest arcs.

For me; yes,

The way it is shown, and its colour and animation is far superior than the movie,

It has a better style than daima i think,

If Vegeta married Videl instead of Bulma, the Dragon Ball timeline changes drastically. Future Trunks would never exist, Gohan and Videl would never get together (leaving Gohan's life completely different), and Vegeta's character arc would lack the stabilizing, humanizing influence that Capsule Corporation provided.

Impact on Relationships and Family

No Future Trunks: Without Bulma, the timeline loses the time-traveling savior who warns everyone about the Androids.

Gohan and Videl: Videl marries Gohan in the main story; if Vegeta is with Videl, Gohan paths away from a domestic life and remains purely focused on study or solo training, creating a bizarre awkwardness since Videl is the daughter of Mr. Satan, whom Vegeta would likely find utterly insufferable.

Age Gap and Era Mismatch: Videl belongs to a younger generation than Vegeta, making a match between them tonally strange compared to his peer-level dynamic with Bulma.

Impact on Vegeta's Growth

No Tech Support: Vegeta relies heavily on Bulma's gravity chambers and funding to reach elite Super Saiyan plateaus. Without her, he lacks high-end training resources.

A Harder Edge: Bulma matches Vegeta's harsh ego with zero fear. Videl, being more grounded and submissive early on, might not command the Saiyan Prince's permanent respect the same way, leaving Vegeta more isolated and hostile.

Let's imagine that in the Dragon Ball OG, Kid Chichi had the Dragon Ball and refused to give it to her. Would anything have changed because she's a girl?

How do you think he would react upon seeing them again?

I'd assume they'd want to serve him again and would most likely obey what he told them, regardless of them being evil, so I don't think killing them would be necessary to protect anyone. Especially Piano who isn't really capable of doing much of anything evil.

But do you think he would have any care in his heart for them? He had some as Demon King, but it was definitely not love. More like they were his property and he made them.
They are still his actual children though, and current Piccolo is definitely a much better and much more caring person.

Though it gets kind of complicated since he is both Demon King Piccolo's reincarnation and his offspring, so I'm not sure if he would see them as his children or his brothers or even just nothing at all.

Would he be happy to see them again? Angry? Would he threaten them to leave, saying he'll kill them if they hurt anyone? Would he kill them just to make sure? Want to keep in contact with them? Want to teach them to be better the way he learned to?
