Animated or live action? 2D or 3D? Series or movie? Manga or Anime ending?

I’ve heard from several people that the Lucy 20th Anniversary resin figure is expected to ship toward the end of the year. What do you guys think? There hasn’t been any official update from Figurama, even though they originally said Q1 or Q2 2026 for the release date.

Honestly, this will probably be my last Figurama figure. The constant delays and lack of updates just aren’t worth it anymore. They used to be trustworthy, but now I’d rather save my money.

This is one of the first and one of only few AMVs i ever made. At the time i had just finished watching Elfen Lied and had so much love and sympathy for the character Lucy and her tragic story that i had to dedicate this AMV to her.

I think "Let Go" by Red, which could be interpreted as fighting our inner demons, fits very well with Lucy's story as she fights both inner and outer "demons". Throughout the anime, she repeatedly manages to suppress her inner demons and free herself from the people who want to harm her. I tried to depict this fight in this video by choosing the clips based on the lyrics and music.

It's called "Tribute" because Lucy is one of my all-time favorite anime characters and her story moves me very much. That's why it was particularly important to me to do justice to her character and her arc with this AMV.

Ive seen that elfen lied has been getting more merch in the big 2026, does anyone know if there is a page or website that announces new merch or anything? I sadly missed the preorder for the eeo items since i had no idea elfen lied was getting new merch.

Here is an unofficial fan-made complete collection of the Elfen Lied Unreleased OST. A few months ago I uploaded my first restoration of "Shinkai ~Cello Version~" and you all seemed to enjoy it. Included is an improved version of that track. Of course, there are several versions of LILIUM... including the elusive "Full Version". There is a second collection linked in the description as well, with a couple of custom extended versions... the first being inspired by DarkJedi2's version from all those years ago. A lot of time went into restoring these tracks. I hope you find them worth the listen.

I don't know if this is a hot take or not. And, this is obviously gonna have spoilers, so beware.

Also, needless to say but this is JUST MY OPINION.

I read the manga AFTER watching the anime. I started the anime because Elfen Lied would come up whenever I would search for gory/violent animes, much like Genocyber. But, unlinke Genocyber, I found the plot and lore of Elfen Lied VERY interesting.

While the anime does not explain the emergence of the diclonii, leaving a lot of background information and lore to be guessed, the plot itself was pretty good: what starts as a somewhat generic story of a female with supernatural powers that murders everything in its path, progresses into a story about shame, guilt and redemption.

For me, the way it ends is almost perfect: Kurama, ridden with guilt, explodes with his daughter Mariko in an attempt to redeem himself and live with her in the afterlife. Kaede sacrifices herself out of love for Kouta and allows her friends to live a happy life back in the mansion.

In the manga we don't have that: Kurama does not die with Mariko. Instead, he survives, lives like a bum in a shack and tries to kill Lucy in the final volume, which he miserably fails at due to Lucy's plot armor.

Also, the manga adds a lot of irrelevant characters, such as Nozomi. Yeah, she teaches Kaede how to sing and Kaede ends up singing the Elfenlied in the final chapters, but outside of that she is almost completely irrelevant. Plus, the weird pee stuff is diabolically stupid.

The diclonius hunter that also happens to be a rapist could have been scrapped too. He plays a part at Bandou's redemption arc (I think, regarding Bandou, the manga did it better), but the manga itself does not develop his (the evil hunter) character, nor does it give information on what are his motives, how did he came to be what he is, etc.

The big ugly thing composed of diclonii bodies in the underground of the the island is pretty ridiculous. And it makes no sense how it couldn't predict anything (it was supposed to be a prediction genius) or at least kill Lucy (considering it was hyped up to be so strong).

I think the manga took a nosedive in quality after the first half. Maybe the author didn't want to end the story, for whatever reason, and the ideas he had for the second half just weren't as good.
