Almost every socialist believes it was the correct thing to do, for Soviet communists and Chinese communists to be Allies with the bourgeois capitalist western powers, to defeat Nazi Germany, fascist Italy, and fascist Japan
Great advice ... for 1936
Wikipedia is literally the CIA.
and with that I'm not wasting any more time on you.

He makes it clear in other quotes, he is against communism not land grabs. The later days of the USSR, especially Brezhnev and later, were disastrous, so understand his sentiment. He refered to communism as a "time mine" and "destructive, utopian fantasies". He has also tried to grab Georgia and he blamed Nato there too. It is his favorite excuse. I would not recommend taking him at his word in general.
While saying Ukraine isn't a real county, he lied about the origin of its name. He has claimed Ukraine was named after Lenin (which sounds plausible in Russian), but the name Ukraine comes from the Old East Slavic language and was first recorded in the Hypatian Codex in 1187.

Wikipedia's summary at the start isn't the socialist definition, and the socialist definition is the original and real definition. Almost every socialist believes it was the correct thing to do, for Soviet communists and Chinese communists to be Allies with the bourgeois capitalist western powers, to defeat Nazi Germany, fascist Italy, and fascist Japan
There, you see?
Duh, you didn't think it through.

The full quote from Putin is:
"He who does not regret the break-up of the Soviet Union has no heart; he who wants to revive it in its previous form has no head. "

Your definition of Campism is false. Putin never said he wants to bring back the USSR
r/EndlessWar • u/NahSense • 2h ago
Campism is the belief that the world is divided into large, competing political groups of countries ("camps") and that people with specific political alignments should support one camp over the other camps.
So, yes you are campist.
Putin has openly said he is trying to rebuild the USSR, but without communism. Putin famously called the dissolution of the Soviet Union the "greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century". He the main difference between his vision of Russian and the old USSR is wants nationalism/patriotism to be the unifying idea, not communism. He said: "We don’t have and there can’t be any other unifying idea, apart from patriotism... Without patriotism, the country cannot exist; it will just disintegrate from within, the way a sugar cube dissolves in water." So yes the Russian federation is an empire.

This is dumb campist thinking. You have gone from realizing america does a ton of messed up stuff, and has problematic allies, which is true, to uncritically accepting Russian propaganda. Wikipedia had a picture of his tattoos taken down for copyright reasons, not because they are fake.

"One common theme in Tolkien's work is that Evil cannot create, only mock and twist. Orcs are therefore a mockery of the "good" races."
I really do need to re-read Tolkien.

Just to be clear Wagner group has neo-nazi links also. Dmitry Utkin, cofounded the Wagner Group, had double lightning bolts and a swastika tatoo.
Amazingly people who join militias and PMCs don't always have great politcs.

So, I got curious and wanted to verify the claim about "77 UN resolutions" with ChatGPT.
There are two types of resolutions: General Assembly and Security Council.
Almost every country gets a vote in the General Assembly, but these resolutions lack the force of law and aren't actually legally binding under the UN Charter. Between 2015 and 2024, the GA adopted 173 resolutions on Israel, compared to just 80 on all other countries combined.
Unsurprisingly, ChatGPT suggests that Israel is just unfairly targeted.
In contrast, Security Council resolutions can create legal obligations, especially under Chapter VII, when backed by sanctions, arms embargoes, or military action. Many such resolutions have been brought forth against Israel, but even then, enforcement depends on the Council’s willingness to impose consequences, which is often blocked by vetoes from... you guessed it, the United States. This has happened dozens of times. Any text critical of Israel, even the strongest proposed measures, ultimately never results in any binding resolutions because the US protects them.
Noting that over the course of a decade, the GA has condemned Israel more times than the rest of the world combined, Netanyahu has described these resolutions as a "swamp of antisemitic bile" and referred to the UN as a "house of darkness." He has also argued that the hostility is not truly about Gaza, but rather about denying Israel’s existence.
The level of delusion here is unmatched.

This isn't about Starmer stepping down as prime minister and being replaced with Burham, that was a while ago. This is about Starmer stepping down as a member of parliament with his successor to be chosen in a by-election.

Thank you for explaining your reasoning. Can you explain how you think this could work for reducing income inequality(building a world where people could live in a more peaceful and just society) and are what would be the mechanism that would restrain monopolies from doing what European And American elites were willing to overthrow their governments. (Anti monopoly restrictions)? What I seem to be hearing is standard libertarian theory. If that’s the case, thanks but no thanks. Sounds to me like another recipe for more colonialism.

I keep waiting for the ridiculousness to reach that saturation point where it reaches some natural limit, but that doesn't seem to exist.
One of my workers is Iranian and from the Straits of Hormuz. He's such a decent human the worst he can say is Trump is very silly, and that he (my worker) is being taught patience. This cannot be reconciled, Trumps absolute buffoonery is an affront to our entire species.

How is "westoid" not a pejorative? But "orc" is?
r/EndlessWar • u/sufferingbastard • 5h ago
Orcs are a type of ogre from the Lord of the Ring. Invaders who work to spread destruction on the natural world.
Russians aren't Orcs of the novels but there are many similarities.
Also Russian isn't a 'race'. Just a bunch of humans born in a very unfortunate place.
