Hi guys!
Today I flew with this coworker that I worked with before, who seems okay on paper but every single time I work with her I feel emotionally and mentally drained. She doesn't say a word to me, only strictly necessary stuff. Which I don't mind.
Literally for securing a table with a latch and the fact that I wrote a note on a box to make it easier to identify which box is which and for what, she was like: "After so much time why are you still trying to prove yourself?" Or something like that, which left me speechless and weirded out when I heard it because it's absolutely not the case. She also said she felt "disrespected", again, because of the reasons I explained.
Yesterday during boarding she was busy with some passengers in the back of the plane and I came from the front to see if I can help her somehow and speed up the process. Since I saw her busy in the back I decided to just go and do the briefings at the emergency exits myself, because everyone was already sitted there. Instead of saying something like "Thank you!" she was like: "Why did you do it? You shouldn't have done it, it's my duty. Next time ask me first before you do it." Like, can you spew a more toxic thing in a situation like a busy boarding?
Yet today every single flight she came securing the cabin towards me, even though that's not her duty. But hey, I didn't confront her or anything.
Today I felt like walking on eggshells and my other coworker also noticed that she was irrationally upset with me for virtually no reason.
You know the worst? I actually helped this person before and was super kind towards her. And now she does this.
Was this an emotional vampire? I was feeling drained in her presence without her saying a single word to me. I very, very rarely have such encounters.
