NOTICE: No more "do I pass" threads

Wanting to pass is fine, asking for passing tips is fine (within reason), but the "do I pass"/"do I look like a man" threads are done. 9/10 they spiral into negativity and hurt feelings (as well as draw attention from trolls from other subreddits). For the wellbeing of the subreddit community, such posts will be removed

Am I still valid?

So I’m sorry I use to speak instead of showing photos but I kinda trust this community over trans questions since they’re kind of eh rude? To people like myself. I have or I think I feel gender dysphoria or some type of hurt everytime I see the word femboy or tw!nk. I don’t know why, the best I can really give is that it makes me feel like a joke or kinda looked over. Most of my dysphoria comes from them even tho when I see them I feel extremely excited because it makes me feel like one day, I’ll get there too. However, I don’t know if my pronouns are correct, I do want to get top and bottom surgery but when someone asked me ‘are you happy has a boy’ I kinda froze and my heart started to race really fast, I felt almost conflicted. Yes, I want to be seen as a guy and no I don’t feel comfortable as a girl and, I even register my preferred name way faster then I do my dead one. However, I’ve been going through 4 months of dysphoria and I can’t help but feel like I might be lying to myself about being trans, like what if I’m convincing myself? I’m 15 and I kinda started my gender identity at 11, at first I was a Demi boy / nonbinary and I went by ‘Ven’ and now I go Lucas which I love! It makes me feel happy when called that or when I’m called a boy. Though, when I overthink it, I feel uncomfortable and unsure of myself. Like I get sweaty and kinda nervous. When I read people calling me a boy I kinda look over it completely since it feels normal until I go into my head, if someone calls me a girl I get kinda upset and I’ll quickly correct it in my head or if it’s VC I won’t turn my mic on anymore cause ik it was my voice that made them say that . Is this weird? Idk I’m sorry

Do my jeans really look that bad?? Will moving the pockets fix them? :(

I made these flare pants and sewed them to be low rise. I kinda liked the fit but the back ended up turning out a bit weird

I couldn’t decide if I should remove the pockets and move them to fix it or just wear long shirts/jackets to cover it up?

I tried asking in r/fashion but they were immediately harsh and mean and made me feel really ugly :(

I actually kinda liked my jeans and was only asking for advice on if it’s worth it to move the pockets or just cover them. But now I’m having second thoughts on if they’re just completely ugly?

Idk I came here instead cause you guys are always a lot kinder and more thoughtful with explanations and have amazing fashion taste

Anyways ty for any advice! <3

TLDR: should I cover the back of my pants with a long shirt or try to move the pockets? Or are they too ugly to be saved?

Advice, stories, comfort wanted for a pre-transition feminine transman

Hello everyone, I don't know how to flair so sorry for that, but-

I haven't started transitioning, and it's because I'm afraid of losing my friends and the girl's girl camaraderie. I've talked to my family about it and a lot of them tell me the whole "why not just stay a girl if you're going to be girly anyway" bit. I like being feminine, I just want to be feminine as a guy. Why is that so difficult to grasp?I'm 29, and I want to transition so bad, but I'm scared of losing that unspoken support from the girl's girl culture. I know the trans community is tight knit, I just feel like because I haven't transitioned and I look cis that it's too early for me to be accepted and I don't wanna risk rejection. Sorry if this is kinda all over the place, I guess I'm just feeling a bit alone.

I'd like to hear y'all's stories, advice, or comforting words if you've got the energy to share.

Where to find cute/alt clothing?

I'm looking for shirts with chest windows, rave-adjacent clothing, and cute pieces. Brands that I like are Moe Flavor, Sugar Thrillz, Pleasers, Juicy Couture, Ed Hardy, Korura Club, Dolls Kill, Demonias. But, I like buying second hand so I've been looking at Depop. I also know that Shein/Fashion Nova is often advertised as a cheaper alternative but I'd rather not buy from there.

I just want to find where to buy some affordable alt (cute/goth) fashion online? In-person really isn't an option (I know Ross and Burlington have good finds sometimes and I have had luck once with a Goodwill but I had a weird interaction with an employee once while going to the fitting room so I'd rather just look online...)

Thank you!!

My experience on dating apps. Please tell me I’m not alone here…

Me: Hey! I’m nonbinary. I like guys in a gay way and women in a lesbian way. Also I don’t like traditional gender roles and I’m looking for something balanced / equal. Confidence is sexy. I’m not into subs. I’m not a dom(me). Also I’m feminine and not into penetration. I’m 30 years old so 25+ only please ✌️

Literally 90% of the interest I get on literally any dating app: I’m a 19 year old straight trans girl with anxiety and I need constant reassurance 🥺👉👈 I want to be dominated by a big strong MASCULINE he/him trans MANLY man bc I love fem4masc I want you to be masc also breed me with this strap on.

I’m only slightly exaggerating but please tell me it’s not just me

Ever since I was a teen I have wanted a nose ring and I finally got my nostrils pierced! I also found a better septum ring. It feels nice to start to see and recognize my face in the mirror after 6 months and looking forward to seeing the other changes t will give me!

I got my hair done in braids because I was feeling dysphoria over this haircut. Well braids were in 2 days because of poor installation. Anyways, I felt cute again with makeup and a fresh washed head! This dress also made me feel sexy!

I feel like my parents don't get it. I tried explaining but it didn't work that great

Basically when I came out a year ago, my mom asked why I still wear makeup and stuff and compared me to the one character in rocky horror picture show played by Tim Curry. Which like, he slays, of course. But I don't think either parent gets what I am, like...at all.

Mom also thinks T is so scary and dad says nothing about it, so I'm just like. Idk how to deal with that. I have been on T for nearly a month and I really like it.

My mom and dad basically still see me as a girl and still use she/her for me and sometimes still use my legal name :(

I like being seen as a guy that does makeup. But a guy nonetheless.

My parents just don't seem to get it, and I guess maybe they won't ever. Idk how it's that confusing. Cis guys wear makeup and nail polish. Why can't I do that without my identity being called into question?

It's been a year and I still feel like I'm their "daughter" just because of how they call me. I don't really like it at all. Idk what to do but maybe some of you can relate to it. Honestly I'm just nervous that I'll look less beautiful on T and my mom will be right, but yall look beautiful on T, those of you who are on it, so maybe I will too?

Que suis-je ? (Questionnement identitaire FtM & homosexualité)

Bonjour,

Post surgery clothes fears

I haven’t worn or even tried on any of my femme clothes since top surgery cause I can’t picture how they’re going to look and I’m so worried I’m going to hate it 😂 😭 I really want to but I’m definitely having to adjust to my new body now that the initial relief has passed!

This is an outfit I wore at a goth festival last weekend, and I’m so happy with it! 🥹
I could have worn something like this pre-T and would have felt like inhabiting a pretty meat suit, but now I just get to feel like myself AND wear sick goth femme stuff at the same time!

I’m happy this subreddit exists, and to know that others can relate to this experience! 🥹❤️
It does confuse the fuck out of cis people sometimes, but I find it hilarious more than anything 😂

Day 2 of School Fit x Mini Storytime✌️

Thumbnail

So mini storytime because why not? But recently ever since my voice has been deeper...even in a few to almost four months, I've been close to passing or seen as anything besides a woman when I dress masc now. In the past my classmates who were women were more prone to talk and approach me before HRT and now, they don't anymore. And I'm hardly ever called "ma'am, etc", especially when I speak. So in class I dress masc and since there's a lot of black men on campus who have the same long hair as me, etc, so far-I pass.

It's good but at the same time, makes me nervous since there's days I want to dress femboy modded in class instead of just masc, but worry about classmates seeing judging or harassing me. So that's why for now, I only change into feminine clothes when I'm out of class and in my student center since I don't bump into the same people and I'm unrecognizable basically. Anyways, I wore Fit A and I really want to wear it again next week for sure since I dig it, the jacket carries, lol. I chilled at student center and for my classes, had a sandwich with Celsius drink, but sandwich was kinda mid ngl since it had no mayonnaise💀 But yeah, funny thing was that when I bought my food at checkout, the cashier seemed a little taken aback once I spoke, lol!

So that's a new part of my life now🤷‍♂️ It even happened again when a student was asking around for people to be interested in their bible study club and she complimented my hair but even then didn't know what to call me either. So yeah. Though when I was leaving since I was getting picked up, I saw a dude sitting with his group and he had his head turned and just stared at me as I walked...made me feel like I was in Animal Planet bro, no cap. But yeah, dudes were staring mad hard, but relieved they didn't come up to me because they'd basically find out the hard way...

But that was my second day of school. We'll see what happens I guess lol

Really loved this jewelry combo from a couple days ago (they/he)

Short-time lurker, first time poster! Purple glass hoops are from Body Art Forms, moon necklace & cocoon-y agate necklace are both from independent jewelry makers. I'm a big comfy-maxxer, but I'm trying to put a bit more effort & whimsy back into my rotation of outfits. Plus, I miss being more femme! Wish I could lean into that more without confusing some of the older folks at work lol

Anyway, hi!! I'm really into witchy things & playing games (TTRPGs, board games, video games), reading, writing, art in general, cooking, traveling, indie/niche perfumes, and... Probably some other stuff that I'm currently forgetting! Lemme know if you wanna be friendsssss~ 🫶🏻
