I simply dont have time anymore for these hundred hour single game experiences. Looking for something to play and relax after work for years to come. Heres some bullet points and yes i know im pretty picky.

1. Im specifically looking for indie/older games (i dont trust newer AAA anymore,newer for me means released since 2016 and upwards so yes released 2015 and older is fine.)
2. The game being available on steam (or itch.io) since these are my main plattforms.
3. preferably a singleplayer fantasy rpg without turn based combat (Id like a similar combat system like skyrim for example, other genres like sci-fi are fine too tho)
4. No multiplayer games
5. The graphics of a game are secondary for me since i mainly focus on the gameplay anyway
6. While i normally dont have a problem with difficulty im looking for an "after work" game so a more slow paced/relaxed experience would be best
7. Best case scenario would be if the game had good modding support on top. This is secondary tho. If it dosent thats completely fine.

Ive already played skyrim (and the entire elder scrolls series).

Last console I own was a Wii. Last AAA release game I finished was Resident Evil 4. Last GTA game I finished was San Andreas. I’ve been doing the bare minimum to keep up with gaming news despite not owning or playing regularly on a console for 15 years. I know the logical answer is playing GTA 4, GTA 5 and RDR2, but I know there’s other worthwhile games out there for me to play.

So I just follow the initial flow of the game and eventually end up fighting opponent and because of my fighting ability I dominate without fail and eventually win the game at least that is what I was expecting with many arts game but unfortunately I haven't found one that is like this as I need to play other nonsense that I am not keen on and not keen to learn and Force to lose if I refuse which makes me feel horrible.

Hi all, new PS5 owner here (stole it from my brother).
I moved to PC in 2020, but recently started playing Cyberpunk 2077, Death Stranding 2, and Expedition 33 on PS5 and was surprised by how smooth and enjoyable they are on Performance Mode.
I upgraded my PC after trying these games on PS5, hoping to get better performance, which I dia. But for some reason, I still don't get the same excitement playing on Steam as I do on PS5.

So what games do you recommened ?

I always see people say that single-player/story-driven RPGs are much more relaxing than multiplayer games, and complain that multiplayer games are stressful, competitive, and addictive. For me when I am playing a good multiplayer game, I usually feel engaged and happy afterward. One the other side I had played The Witcher 3 for quite some time, stopped playing it some months ago but decided to give it a go once again, and objectively I can see that it's a great game. The world is beautiful, the writing is good and the quests are interesting but playing it kind of gave me a pretty bad headache and felt mentally tiring. I honestly would rather feel better afterwards by playing something like eFootball. Maybe it could also be because I haven't played much story-driven games except for The Witcher 3 so maybe I'm judging the whole genre based on a few games but from outside there doesnt feel much difference looking at other such rpgs and it feels like I would feel the same with others too. It's just weird because I feel like the common opinion is that multiplayer games are the ones that are exhausting while single-player games are the ones you play to relax.

So I'd like to tell you about a game that went from mediocre to instantly amazing starting today. The game is called "Let It Die". And it first came out for PS in 2016 and was eventually ported over to PC. Now this is one of the best Roguelite Soulslike games ever made. So the question is what made it mediocre before compared to now? So the company that made it, kept adding in P2W elements that basically ruined the way the game should play without them. But now they've made it offline(and playable), and removed every single P2W element in the process. So the game is just fantastic now.

You guys should check it out.

Hi. Title says it all, I'm on pc and switch 2 mostly. I want something that really focuses on the story, like Detroit Become Human or Life Is Strange. I did try Expedition 33 but while the story seemed interesting I really disliked the combat system and the fact that there’s no way to avoid enemy fights which takes away from the experience. I'm not a really experienced gamer, so I ended up stuck in battles most of the time and it just made me drop it completely. So I'm looking for a long game (20h+ at the very least), something that is accessible for a cosy gamer like me, something story driven and with multiple endings if possible for potential reruns, and no RPGs cause that’s not really my style of games.

Open to any suggestions, but I'd prefer older games that could run on a upper mid range laptop or ps5. I really like deep and complex narritives that really have my mind working overtime to understand everything, but it isn't limited to that of course.

I like rpg games, dungeon crawlers with loot etc. Games that you can build on and come back to over multiple sessions.

On the flip side I also like puzzle games or one off games advancing scores or levels etc. I know there's a billion of those but they all seem like carbon copies or scams so feel free to tell me if you found a good one.

So I really liked this browser game called Herd of Hounds. I took a break from it for a while and came back only to find that it had shut down, with only the possibility that it might get adapted into a mobile game. I'm not going to get my hopes up, so I wanted to see if I could find something to fill the void.

What I liked about it:

1. Semi-realistic genetics. Doesn't have to be dogs specifically but I loved that the system was based on real dog genetics.

2. Rollover/progression on your own time. I don't want to stress about not getting everything I need to done before the clock hits midnight. That was the main reason I stopped playing Wolvden.

3. Ability to interact with other players if wanted, but doing so isn't required to have fun with the game.

I liked being able to crossbreed/work with mutts but that's not essential. I also don't like content being locked behind limited-time events, but if push comes to shove, I can just ignore those.

From my own search, seems like Furry Paws might be a good fit once it has its major Version 3 update, but that won't be til early 2027, and I don't necessarily want to wait that long. So until then, any recommendations?

I’m honestly not sure anymore. I used to play Minecraft a lot about 15 years ago. I simply cbf anymore but i love the idea of it. I always end up cheating and then it feels like nothing has a purpose anymore.

I love rust but i don’t like the nolife aspect to it. I hate getting raided and i always play on 3x servers.

I just want to build cool, useful shit and feel like i earned it somehow without spending days grinding.

Genre isnt important tbh. As a long time lover of kenshi, rimworld, space haven and the likes, Ive acquired some taste for this kind of thing.

Lemme scavenge and recycle everything. Use humans as fertilizer. Use broken down cars for scraps. That kind of thing.

Hey everyone, I know this question has been asked a million times before (I've been looking at the threads), but it's usually a little more broad than what I'm looking for, so I thought I should maybe make my own post in case anyone else feels the same way that I do.

I'm looking for good 3d platformers on the Steam Deck that control like Odyssey (ideally have a mid-air dive and/or a dive cancel), especially multiple moves that you can chain together to really get some momentum going.

I've really enjoyed Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom, Orbo's Odyssey, and Pseudoregalia in terms of movement, and I've gotten about halfway through Penny's Big Breakaway but have been a bit turned off by some of the wonky camera and controls at times. A few games on my radar that I haven't picked up yet but look interesting to me are Mr. Sleepy Man, Crumble, Demon Tides and The Big Catch (which I know still doesn't have a release date). I also have Hell Pie sitting in my library but the crude humor turns me off.

Also, BIG DISCLAIMER: I know that everybody and their mother absolutely adores A Hat in Time, but my ashamed confession is: it looks so ugly to me I cannot imagine playing it. The movement and gameplay looks lovely, but the horrific Unity dynamic lighting pasted over a game with an already-barely-coherent aesthetic completely turns me off from the game. Am I being a baby? Does it get better? Are there settings I can mess with to make it not look like such a horrorshow? Or are there any hidden gems I'm missing that I should look into? Please help, I just want to bounce around and hoard collectibles. Thank you!!

I play a ton of mmorpg so none of those. But something solo adventure that is THAT open world with lots to do. I do want combat just like in Zelda games but also a cozy exploration option too. Thx

I am just wondering which games you think have the best soundtracks to buy on Steam.

I enjoy solo queuing FPS games. Have ~ 7k hours combined on CS2 and Siege, and enjoy the realism aspect of both games. That said, growing a bit tired of these games, and looking for an alternative. Also, the game doesn’t necessarily have to be a tac fps.

Just got a PS5 mainly for KH4. Before it comes out, I'm catching up on games I missed. I just finished FFVII Rebirth and Spider-Man 2, and I'm stuck deciding what to play next.

I'm looking for PS5 games with a strong story and characters. I love RPGs, especially Final Fantasy, Suikoden and Kingdom Hearts,Persona. I also really enjoyed Uncharted 1–4, RDR 2, so I like cinematic, third-person, story-driven games with exploration and action.

Там ты спавнишся в лобби с простеньким интерфейсом в стиле 2009/2004, справа есть ступеньки вниз с магазином (он, как стойка с лимонадом, там можно покупать анимации). А слева от спавна есть серая прозрачная стена, а прямо от спавна - круглые телепорты в игру, по типу 1игрок/2игрока/3игрока/4игрока. В самой игре ты спавнишся на небольшом квадрате, прямо серая прозрачноя дверь, а справа - прямоугольник размером с игрока, с ролями по типу блокси кола, курьер и кошка. Как только ты выбрал роль, подходиш к серой стене и начинается паркур, если зажать Шифт и пробел идя в перёд, ты будеш розгоняться как банихоп. Там есть ивенты, низкая гравитация, спавн некстбота, который летит по карте и от него можно прятаться в специальных местах, и есть жизни - по окончания которых в 2на2 ты становишся призраком, если второй игрок жив, а в 1игрока ты сразу погибаеш.
