1 order/offer since 5pm. I get thats it's to get drivers on the road but isn't this a lose/lose all around. Feels like a waste of time and I understand it's a Tuesday, usually slow

Hi, trying to help my partner get signed up for this so we can attempt to continue being housed, fed, and medicated after my food stamp benefits were randomly deactivated last month. Neither of us has ever done any of this sort of thing before, and they currently have a full time job in healthcare already (with my contribution being that I am on full time disability benefits that don't cover even half our monthly rent).

From what I can see there are potentially referral codes that can make this sort of thing easier to get started on, does anybody have any to share or tips on how to help get this working sustainably?

In case it is location based, we would be doing this in Utah (in the US).

Also going to be posting this in the other driver/delivery places, but if you have any other suggestions of places I should be looking at or codes to potentially use, I'm all ears. Unfortuantely I can't easily "donate" plasma due to my disabilities, but if there's an amazing referral code for something like that, I can try to make it happen. (Passing out/having to go to an ER is still better than not having a place to sleep once you're discharged, in my experience).

Hi, I used to be a mod in a Facebook Grubhub group till the scammer admin got tired of me blocking other scammers selling and renting accounts including his besties.. lol, which is whatever. However, so it seems like it is a legit group, Facebook won't delete the group because (they have been reported so many times), they have someone posting your posts from here as in copy paste, they even get Reddit member's from DD too because they don't even read what the content is, they just want the fake GH engagement. The post are always a Anonymous person and they do that to get legit driver engagment (comments) so these illegal sellers can post screenshots showing illegal ad for reactivation, selling renting or bot accounts https://www.facebook.com/groups/855910842401283 Just thought you all would like to know.

It's been over a week since I was approved for GH and the app says my bank account and debit card information is still waiting to be verified. Is it normal to wait this long?

I don’t recall ever having this happen before because i usually always cash out at the end of the night anyways but my earnings just disappeared I’m assuming when the day switched since it shows as a new week but they aren’t available in the balance anymore either. I know Monday night is the deadline before it goes to direct deposit but isn’t even showing an instant cash out or direct deposit notification or email in the earnings tab. Called driver care but they were barely any help. She said something I’m assuming like maintenance is going on and I’ll be able to cash out in the morning but the order i just got done after 12am (when it shows as a new day and week since it’s technically Monday now)pops up fine after it settled and appears as i can cash out that order no problem.

I had a horrible experience at one of these restaurants last night with workers carrying on in most horrible vile disgusting way about homosexuals and others. This is an independent complaint process available live 24/7 (i believe) who report to whatever company you're complaining on. It's mainly for store employees to report anonymously but they apparently take delivery driver complaints too or in my case they did. I'm not suggesting to call them with minor complaints like the food took too long but rather more serious complaints like mine.

Just saw a 3 yr wait. Wow. Well it is what it is right.

Twice yesterday, at 2 different Popeyes I drove to stores and was told already picked up. Both times cashier looked dumbfounded quickly at bags there ready for pickup and told me somebody already picked that customers order up. I got a $1 and $1.52 instead of the $16-$17 + around 45 min time wasted. The 2nd was my last order for the day, so I went home empty handed and frustrated.

I'm new to GH. I was on a wait list for THREE YEARS! Yes. You read that correctly. Anyway, I had an unusually long wait at Metro Diner today and attempted to tap the option explaining the delay. I kept pressing the option explaining the restaurant delay and nothing happened. The little circle to the left of the option would just blink and stay empty. Not sure if this is a glitch? I wasn't marked late for the delivery (which was late by 20 minutes because of the restaurant). Is anyone else having this issue?

Did my first day with Grubhub today (not new to gig work just here) and it will not let me add my debit card. Keeps saying I need to enter my password and then I get a connection error. Been trying for hours. What gives?

For over a month I have noticed that when you accept one order and you're driving to the restaurant or even at the restaurant, GrubHub will send you another order but as a bundle with the first order. You decline that 2nd order . Then the app lists both orders as declined in your history but you still the first order in your main first screen system. So then I have these ghost orders in my history where I deliver it and I'll still get paid for it but it doesn't show as being a delivered order in history .

This affects any bonuses I'm trying to achieve As well. It also fraudulently says I declined two orders when I have the first order and deliver it . So not only is it giving me two skips when I still deliver the order but it erases that delivered order from the history and doesn't give me a delivery towards the bonus either.

You can call cs but they will just confirm that you did deliver it but have no ability to help with a bonus. They will make a case but you wont hear anything.

Its hard for me to believe they aren't doing this on purpose.

Here’s the kicker: I already completed the ID verification the system prompted me to re-complete and was working for a full week. I submitted everything, followed the instructions, and continued trying to get the issue resolved through their specialized support team. Ive had an account with Grubhub since 2018.

I’m sharing this because I think other drivers need to understand how badly things can go when a gig app’s support system fails. I’ve called them everyday and it’s the same response.

I was born in Washington, DC with a Driver’s License and Social Security Card which I have provided multiple times to Grubhub.

Instead of completing the manual review, connecting the dots, and restoring my account, I’ve now gone 14 days without income.

Fourteen days might not sound like much to a corporation, but for someone relying on gig work, it can completely destabilize your life. During this period I’ve had to deal with watching my partner struggle financially with our kids while I am unable to work. I am hoping for a resolution but have started applying for a new job today.

What makes this especially frustrating is the complete lack of ownership over the failure of the automated system twice when I’m uploading clear photos with a IPhone 17.

Every interaction feels like starting over. You explain the situation, provide the information they already requested, and somehow the next person still doesn’t understand what happened before. Then just tells me it’s “processing” with zero timeline.

I’ve even spoken directly with a supervisor, who told me she would escalate the situation a week ago. I currently have three open support tickets, yet my account is still blocked and I still don’t have a clear resolution.

At this point, I’ve even wondered whether my involuntary participation in a successful class-action lawsuit by the FTC could somehow be related to what happened. I have no proof of that, so I’m not claiming it as fact. It’s simply difficult not to question why an account with no violations and perfect delivery scores would remain blocked after the requested verification was already completed.

The bigger lesson for me is about gig-app companies in general.

When your ability to earn money depends entirely on an app, a broken support system isn’t a minor inconvenience. It can have real consequences for someone’s life.

Drivers are not just usernames on a screen. We have bills, transportation, families, partners, responsibilities, and lives happening outside the app.

I hope Grubhub eventually resolves this, but regardless of what happens, this has been a major learning experience about the risks of depending on gig platforms and what happens when the people responsible for supporting drivers cannot effectively understand or communicate with them.

10 emails sent with HD photos attached and a phone call everyday. Not one email back from this department.

UPDATE: GrubHub support continues to fail.

I called again today Day 16 and still no response from the ID Verification department on an escalated ticket.

Every 10 minutes it’s saying it can’t locate my location even though the app open and I’m not on power saving mode I also haven’t gotten an order in 3 hours on a Saturday during dinner time which has never happened to me in the 4 years I’ve done Grubhub.

Is something going on I’m not aware of or is the app down?

😬 title says it all, call me an airhead is fair. I didn’t even know until yesterday that you’re supposed to be making quarterly payments to the Israēli Revenue Service. I guess I should’ve done all this research before doing a 1099 full-time… I do have a dependent, so I guess I just thought in my mind that the CTC would probably cover a good chunk of my tax bill. I did recently just go from my kids dad having less visitation to full 50/50 custody though, so now i have 2 full weeks out of the month to just work. Any ideas on how i can play catch up? Also what app do yall use to track things?

I accepted a $23 offer for 10 miles. As I’m approaching the first customer’s house, GrubHub says the other customer canceled their order. Turns out the other offer I got to complete was only $2 of the $23. Fuck GrubHub. I hope they eventually get sued to oblivion.

Edit: The picture shows rejected because that’s how GH decided to display the order after the fact. Again, it was a stacked offer where the order paying over 91% of the offer was removed from my end by GH. The app doesn’t show it properly, so I just attached the best picture I could.

My gh app is acting up it’s not giving me any time to accept orders I see them pop my finger is on the screen trying to accept them but I’m less than a second it says offer has expired.. is anyone else having this issue? I’ve missed high paying orders because of that. The other day McDonald’s employee told me an order had been sitting there for an hour. Last week it wouldn’t let me cash out and now this
