Standard This is the epitome of modern hearthstone. You can't make ANY prediction about the boardstate after your turn. Never. You wanna set up stealths for lethal? They play their 5th moonwell. You try to chip them? How about an eternal firebolt that heals 12 with the weapon. Why does this exist?

Discussion I opened the legendary I wanted right after crafting it

I had been saving dust for a while because there was one legendary I needed for a deck I wanted to play. I kept putting off crafting it because 1600 dust is 1600 dust, but last night I finally gave in.

Played the deck for a bit, had fun, no regrets. Then today I opened a few packs I'd forgotten I had sitting there and of course the legendary shows up. The exact same one. I just stared at the screen for a second because there was no way the timing could've been worse.
I know this is basically part of Hearthstone and I'll get some dust back, but it still hurts knowing I could've saved the full 1600 by waiting literally one day.

Please tell me I'm not the only one this has happened to.

Discussion Just returned after 6 years & tried out every mode

I hope this is just a me issue, because HS itself is a super cool game, i just cant seem to like it. I hope blizz can make some changes because the game still has personality but its just not fun to me, every mode is unfun.

Battlegrounds: I thought I was playing okay, had 300/300 minions across the board with what I felt was good scaling. I faced a board who's numbers I couldn't even comprehend, it was like 1.8m overlapping with 2.6k or some shit. There are really cool new additions like trinkets, and unique characters, it just was not a good new player experience

Arena: this used to be my bread and butter, some games were fun like druid vs druid but other characters just feel stupid, warrior has insane cards that slot in to every archetype while characters like hunter felt like their whole class kit is there to bait you, overall its nowhere near fun enough to justify paying to play. Also I dont like this "pick your legendary" at the start, it made my decks feel unspecial and very predetermined

Ranked: i was given some "ladder ready" paladin deck and it was the most OP unfun deck I've ever played, my entire board got divine shield, +3/3 at the end of my turn and divine shield took like 3 hits to break??? I played one game and quit, it wasn't fun even though I won, im guessing paladins not even the most OP deck. I got to top 100 with some beast druid deck years back and its comical how badly id wipe the floor with this free deck

Dungeons: No updates, old content still goated but I've played it all and already bought all the premium versions of those

TL;DR is every mode feels like the game forces me to be OP. Big numbers, guaranteed legendaries, archetypes of steroids. When everything is special nothing is special, it doesnt feel anything like the game i played in 2020 and 2020 felt nothing like the game I played in 2014, its not worth my time or money to come back which sucks cause I want to like it

There is another way to have this card in my collection?
Thank you

Standard I wish Priest were meta so they'd get nerfed

Half sarcastic post but I feel like everytime I play against a Priest I'm just baffled by how low their winrate is considering how insane their cards are.

Permanently repeatable 3 damage with lifesteal, a card permanently buffing their healing effects that turns normal lifesteal spells into Reno, a 1 mana 4 damage boardwipe, a taunt minion that with the most annoying deathrattle you can imagine that they can give reborn to with relative ease and a silence + destroy everything legendary. Not to mention infinite card generation with their imbued hero power.

Might sound obvious but I feel like if there wasn't even more broken stuff in the format right now most of these cards would have to be nerfed. This type of stuff is a big part of why I find Hearthstone less enjoyable now. You will always have your tier 1 meta decks that are obviously super broken but now even the tier 2 and 3 decks feel super broken and frustrating to play against.

Discussion Even if the win rates are relatively balanced, the actual gameplay feels like it offers very little player agency.

The outcome of many games seems to depend heavily on whether you draw specific cards in the mulligan and whether you go first or second. Once the game actually starts, it often feels like the result plays itself out almost automatically.

If you only look at overall win rates, this might appear to be a healthy and well-balanced metagame. But in practice, it often feels less like you're making meaningful decisions and more like you're simply competing over the result of a coin flip.

It annoying it can end you with turn 4 sometimes turn 6 if it do it right but this can be counter by priest and aoe mage

An interesting deck played by Rogue. Making me draw many cards. Never seen it before.

Discussion Unpopular Opinion - I think Pirate Warrior is a healthy main boss to have in the meta game

Does the deck have some serious gas? Sure, but it's gameplan is so linear and there are a ton of tools out there in pretty much all classes to work with and push metagame into a decent spot. Work in some early high health minions, removal, and taunts...I promise it is counterable.

Discussion This game runs like absolute garbanzo (constant connection issues)

Can somebody tell me what the hell happened to the client? I haven't played for 2 weeks and now suddenly I can't discover 1 card without severe connection issues anymore. And it won't reconnect me automatically, but instead I should restart the game manually just to be able to navigate my turn properly and without game skipping it entirely.

Again, I have no internet issues, I'm playing on pc with good connection, but somehow hearthstone doesn't really work properly. Does anyone else also having connection issues with the game?

Discussion Was there a reaspn why the posts last night about the chinese card drops were removed?

Before I went to bed last night there was a couple posts talking about a new set that was announced in china, with 3 or 4 cards for each class.

Where they fake?

Was it a leak?

Or was it because it was strictly a Chinese set and the devs/mods of this sub reddit didn't want people getting there hopes up?

Whats going on? Ive never seen announced cards this way being stripped from this reddit like they were.

Discussion After multiple attempts to accept that Herald Onyxia DK is not worth playing... this meta made it feel the most playable. This single absolutely garbage 6 mana board clear keeps it in such a rough spot. (Herald Demon Hunter/Herald Warrior/Herald DK) haven't seen a lot of playability.

Wild Came back after years of being away and bagged this golden Queen

Post image

Playing a steal deck with this in wild has been so much fun as I've gotten to try out so many others decks and cards that there is no feasible way I could afford to play with now.

I know that people don't love this card, but it has been so much fun getting to actually experience lots of variety in this game since coming back, so I'm sorry if this has driven you nuts recently. I don't even get mad when half my deck gets deleted by the little 5-cost robot because I can just requeue and have another fun, completely unique game!

It may be dumpster legend but at least I got there! I was struggling for like 2 weeks to get even past D9. I was using tier 1 decks and getting nowhere. I switched to Unholy Death Knight 2 days ago and played whenever I had free time and climbed to legend in that time! I can count on one hand the number of games I lost! It's been a long time since I've had such a streak. Dropping the deck list in the comments, in case anyone wants to give it a whirl!

Discussion Why was Patches so OP back in the day?

During the heyday of Patches, I was having a break from HS so I didn't get a chance to play it myself or play against it. But from what I saw, it was just a 1/1 minion with charge that would be summoned from the deck. In what way was it OP and terrible to play against? It was just a 1/1 minion

Discussion What happened to that supposed "leak" of the next expansion post from a few hours ago? Spoiler

Saw it had a lot of traction and some people were freaking out, others cried AI. Did it just end up being AI or did it get taken down because it was a legit leak?
