HI
to any of the upcoming MH501 students, have you guys gotten any info from the uni about the orientation week or study material/Reading List?
I was just wondering if it was just me or if I am stressing for no reason💯 (probably the latter).

Any tips for the graduation days? It's coming up I'm excited but also very nervous that something might go wrong. It is a big day after all. Any information I should know? Is the traffic on graduation days bad should I go in super early?

Staying in the Duke this year, has anyone else stayed there before and if so what was your experience like?

Gonna be real here I'm going into 2nd year and basically made no friends last year. Like sometimes I hang out with my friends from school etc. but like they have their own friends now and it's a bit awkward. I have 1 or 2 people I talk to during classes but that's as far as it goes.
Tbh I didn't make an effort last year. I kept to myself, didn't join clubs and socs and stuck to the same few school friends. Anyone who is starting first year PUT YOURSELF OUT THERE!
Anyway, anyone going into 2nd year (or any year really) who is in the same boat or wants new friends please HMU I'd really appreciate it! I'm a 19 yo M chill enough, good craic. I'd also appreciate any advice :)

Hi. Anyone know where to find accommodation in Maynooth?I emailed most ads on Daft but heard nothing back.
I’m also on list for on campus accommodation.
It seems impossible.

The timetable just came out for second year LLB and there’s not many options for the optional modules that don’t clash with the compulsory ones. I was wondering if anyone in their LLB chose to do an elective instead and what was it like? On the one hand some of them seem genuinely interesting and something I’d like to do but I also feel like if i’m getting a law degree I have to do the law modules and not waste my time doing an elective like ‘ancient Greece’ that won’t build my skills for the workforce, and that I could do something like that in my own time. I’d love to know from anyone if they’ve done electives and what they think if they’re practicing law now? Maybe i’m over intellectualising the whole thing and it really doesn’t matter lol.

Would anyone studying either Nua-Ghaeilge or Celtic Studies know if there’s a grade requirement for these modules? I want to take it through Nua-Ghaeilge and I’ve heard a 2.1 in first year Nua-Ghaeilge is needed to take both modules, but can’t find anything online. Thanks!!

Hi! I’ve just been offered a place in MH502 for September and I’m really happy with the offer! I’m just wondering if there are many people from Dublin doing MH502. My main concern is around Freshers Week and nights out. I really want to get involved in college life and meet new people. I’m worried that living in Dublin might make it harder to stay out late or go on nights out.
For anyone who commutes from Dublin, how do you usually manage nights out/ Freshers events? Do people stay with friends in Maynooth, travel home together or is there another way people tend to do it. I’d love to hear from Dublin commuters about their experience. I don’t want my location to limit how much I get involved or the friendships I make, so I’d really appreciate any honest advice/ reassurance as this does play an important role in choosing a course for me personally!☺️☺️

Hey guys I had a horrible summer that prevented me from doing my best for the stats resit and I'm panicking because I have a conditional offer for a post-graduate course but it all hinges on if I pass statistics as it's a required module for psychology. I didn't need any other resits it was literally just stats. I really want to graduate and I just worry this is going to prevent that.

Hey all! For those renting digs off campus. Do you pay rent 12 months? Or September-May? Like 9 months? I’m a bit confused
