Pasta cooked in homemade salsa with the addition of canned peas, mini ground turkey patties and Skyr with garlic powder.

- I cook the pasta halfway, then I drain half the water and add salsa - that's how I always cook my pasta.

- I add peas from a can at the same time, sometimes corn...

- I make the patty mixture from pure ground turkey, add a ton of parsley, a tablespoon of olive oil, garlic and onion powder, salt, mixed pepper, chilli flakes and curry.

- I make balls and flatten them because they cook easier and faster that way.

- I bake/fry them without oil in a pan. Approx 5 min on each side.

- I mix the skyr with a little garlic powder and salt

And that's it! Very creamy and tasty and very healthy.

My portion:

- 40g 1% skyr: ∼24 kcal

- 180g cooked pasta: ∼284 kcal

- 60g turkey patties: ∼90 kcal

- 1 tsp olive oil:∼40 kcal

Total: ∼438 kcal

😽👌

So i work in corporate marketing and thought i need to stop spending all my money in the city on above average food at super high prices 🙃

So I have taken myself to M&S this morning and see the marinated chicken bags ive seen over social media.

I promise they are cooked I did them in the oven but next time I will definitely grill them

So i went for Mexican rice, stem broccoli and Peri Preri chicken breast flats.

I am not someone who goes to the gym so im not trying to bulk but any recommendations on how I can make it better or add anything to it

Simple, clean eating. Taco seasoning was homemade and low sodium. Add a little taco sauce and cheese…a quick, easy meal prep.

The gnocchi was store bought. The sauce was made at home with a lot of homegrown ingredients.

Containers for transporting restaurant takeout on a long commute

Might be the wrong subject, but since I’m asking for container suggestions… I am thinking about picking up food in the big city where I work at transporting home during my commute to treat my housebound father to a good dinner. The commute takes over 45 minutes split between 30 minutes on a subway and 15 minutes driving any recommendations for perhaps an insulated box or carrying case that’s not to Boki to bring on a commute but which can accommodate a restaurant meal?

What is the best way to not get my egg souffles to not stick to the pyrex? They are a pain in the butt to clean.

question Where Do I Start? So Lost...

I'm trying to get into meal prepping, but how does the food stay hood all week? Are you freezing portions and eating some fresh? How long do they last in the fridge?

Also, what containers do you recommend? Are there any true and tried ones?

Any help or guidance would be great. I'd love to amp up my prepping.

built a free AI meal planner that also makes your grocery list and tracks your budget — would love honest feedback

Hey everyone,

Like a lot of people, I got tired of the nightly "what do we even eat tonight" scramble — and then still having to write a grocery list from scratch, guess what it'd cost, and hope nothing conflicted with an allergy in the house.

So I spent the last while building MealMate AI — a free-to-start meal planning app that:

Generates a full week of meals based on your preferences, budget, and dietary needs

Builds a grocery list automatically, grouped by store aisle

Shows estimated cost in your local currency (it auto-detects your region)

Has a "cook with what I have" tool — type in what's in your fridge/pantry, get a recipe

Strictly filters out allergens and dietary restrictions (not just a soft preference — a hard filter)

Tracks your weekly grocery budget vs. what you actually spent

Flags pantry items before they expire so less food goes to waste

It's live here if you want to try it: https://mealmate-ai-8842.lovable.app

I'm still actively improving it, so genuinely — if you try it and something's clunky, confusing, or missing, I'd really appreciate the feedback. Building this solo, so real user input is gold right now.

Thanks for reading 🙏

Ground Chicken Ideas

Hi all! Purchased a few pounds of ground chicken at Sam’s. Looking for recipe suggestions. Will likely be my meal prep for the week. Thanks!

ETA: other than meatballs, burgers, and tacos

is BistroMD the same as jail food?

The food is genuinely terrible. Also the nutrition facts seem like the calories are super low for what you are eating - and the food label listed one calorie amount meanwhile the exact same meal listed a different calorie amount on their website. Has anyone else experience this? Any food prep service recommendations for dieting?

question How many meals should I start out prepping?

We have a household of two. How many meals should I start prepping for the week as a person that just started to meal prep?
