Im honestly surprised this comment is so low, and more people arent asking why as well. I really want to know what the reason is behind so many lemons

Yeah, all these recipes with no questioning are annoying me.

Mental illness? My mother does stuff like this although thankfully not this extreme.

Maybe she chose 150 grams shopping online without realizing this one is not sold by grams

She plans on making a big batch of something.

But OP juices them all into lemonade instead.

Likely, some sort of mental disorder. She was having an episode. People do weird stuff when having an episode.

OP needs to get the mom to be diagnosed properly if this happens occasionally.

Holy fucking Reddit psychology moment. Someone buys a lot of lemons no other info needed they are severely mentally ill.

Yeah, because going to a supermarket and buying 150 lemons back is normal.

This isn't a simple mistake like having a typo.

They would have gone through a lot of efforts with reminders that they were buying 150 lemons, and they have been okay with that along the way. It is likely an episode of some kind.

Even the mom didn't explain why she did such things.

> Someone buys a lot of lemons no other info needed they are severely mentally ill.

That's why I recommend getting a check up.

Since you are criticizing me, this means you say I'm in the wrong 100% for recommending a check up and that OP's mom should never be checked by any doctor? That's such a dangerous advice, bro.

Or you know they wanted 150 lemons. Doing something weird or out of the ordinary doesn’t mean mental illness. And holy strawman to infer that I’m saying no one should ever get checked by a doctor

Did you even read the post?

OP said "She randomly comes back with a butt load of food items once in a while".

OP never finds out why mom bought a boatload of food items

> And holy strawman to infer that I’m saying no one should ever get checked by a doctor

And it is bad to recommend taking a precaution because?

I don't see why I am in the wrong for recommending getting a check up for this odd unexplained behavior.

But you are passionatelysaying it is extremely wrong to recommend getting a check up by doctor.

Or they messed up the online order?

Or they're planning on making lemonade for a get together.

OP said: "She randomly comes back with a butt load of food items once in a while"

Emphasis on "she comes back". Also "once in a while".

> Or they're planning on making lemonade for a get together.

OP doesn't know why mom bought 150 lemons

If OP did, he/she wouldn't have posted this.

It would be like "for the party, I'm making lemonade", and OP would be like "oh ok". There would be no reddit post about it.

Hopefully she got a good deal for them

She may have purchased them locally. At least where I'm from a lot of people with lemon trees cant even give them away fast enough for how many they have. 150 lemons here would be like 5 bucks. My mom STILL brings home this many lemons in the summer, like several times a season. Because her friend has ONE lemon tree. Luckily I love lemon with my whole being so I'm not mildly infuriated in the least
