But why

Likely, some sort of mental disorder. She was having an episode. People do weird stuff when having an episode.

OP needs to get the mom to be diagnosed properly if this happens occasionally.

Holy fucking Reddit psychology moment. Someone buys a lot of lemons no other info needed they are severely mentally ill.

Yeah, because going to a supermarket and buying 150 lemons back is normal.

This isn't a simple mistake like having a typo.

They would have gone through a lot of efforts with reminders that they were buying 150 lemons, and they have been okay with that along the way. It is likely an episode of some kind.

Even the mom didn't explain why she did such things.

> Someone buys a lot of lemons no other info needed they are severely mentally ill.

That's why I recommend getting a check up.

Since you are criticizing me, this means you say I'm in the wrong 100% for recommending a check up and that OP's mom should never be checked by any doctor? That's such a dangerous advice, bro.

Or they messed up the online order?

Or they're planning on making lemonade for a get together.

OP said: "She randomly comes back with a butt load of food items once in a while"

Emphasis on "she comes back". Also "once in a while".

> Or they're planning on making lemonade for a get together.

OP doesn't know why mom bought 150 lemons

If OP did, he/she wouldn't have posted this.

It would be like "for the party, I'm making lemonade", and OP would be like "oh ok". There would be no reddit post about it.

You know you can come back from picking up an online order? Not all orders are delivered.  I order my groceries and pick them up.

People can also make mistakes more than once.

Did OP ask her? He didn't mention that he asked.

There a lre shitloads of random reddit posts because people can't just talk to the people in their household.

Reddit would be nothing but AI posts if people just communicated with others, rather than posting to ask strangers.

> Did OP ask her? He didn't mention that he asked.

So, OP posted this "She randomly comes back with a butt load of food items once in a while"

It's "once in a while", and OP never asks his/her own mother why for all these years. For this mundane non-controversial question.

This is not asking whether the mom has sex, right? it's just asking what lemons are for.

Is that a likely scenario?

> There a lre shitloads of random reddit posts because people can't just talk to the people in their household.

There are shitloads of mentally-illed and crazy people posting on here too. Have you seen many posts on the front page over the years?

I just saw a father shaving his son's hair for bullying, and the son is obviously traumatized. The son is crazy, and the punishment is just insane.

Recommending getting checked up for mental illness doesn't sound odd here.

What?

Are you high?

Or you know they wanted 150 lemons. Doing something weird or out of the ordinary doesn’t mean mental illness. And holy strawman to infer that I’m saying no one should ever get checked by a doctor

> Or you know they wanted 150 lemons.

Did you even read the post?

OP said "She randomly comes back with a butt load of food items once in a while".

OP never finds out why mom bought a boatload of food items

> And holy strawman to infer that I’m saying no one should ever get checked by a doctor

And it is bad to recommend taking a precaution because?

I don't see why I am in the wrong for recommending getting a check up for this odd unexplained behavior.

But you are passionatelysaying it is extremely wrong to recommend getting a check up by doctor.
