My parents got me a brand new Texas Instruments computer when I was 9 and a subscription to some computer magazine that had programs in basic that you had to type out. Some of these were like pages long and were awesome when they worked. I remember a skiing game that was pretty cool. But the majority of times I would like type a 0 instead of O and hours and hours of time just wasted. Sigh.

I actually had an old, old pre Mac Apple computer that used to run a program called logo with a turtle.
