This is like the Oakland school board voting that despite being bankrupt they wouldn't close any schools if it effected a majority "people of color" students.

I put it in quotes because they defined it as anybody not white, but Oakland split very evenly between black, hispanic, asian, and white people so it was a bunch of teachers and administrators voting to keep their own jobs. The state had to step in and force them to close schools or either lose state funding or have the state fire all of them and take over while hiring new people.
