QUESTION What exercises do you guys like to do in the buff?

So sorry if such a topic like this was done here before because I am a fellow who enjoys doing exercise such as long distance runs.

But the thing is that I have never experienced exercising in the nude as I was wondering how hard it would be to join a nudist club who likes to exercise in the buff as I was interested in finding a club.

A resort has recently started offering monthly events to boost activity/membership. What does a lifestyle event mean to most naturists? Is this a dog whistle?

DISCUSSION Am I the only one?

I was raised by very old school conservative parents. You didn’t talk about sex or bodily functions beyond basics, and no sex before marriage. That also meant you keep your body covered. It was always considered indecent to show it and you shouldn't look at other people's bodies. I've found that this creates not only a certain discomfort regarding our bodies, but a generally unhealthy preoccupation with nudity and sex as a whole.

I've always had a strong desire to see as much nudity as possible, probably because it was always so taboo and "not proper" and it has always made me feel borderline creepy or that there's something wrong with me. Spending more time naked at home and venturing out to more public nude spaces is helping to normalize naked bodies for me, and I am already starting to feel less voyeuristic when around nudity. I don't know that I will ever be completely free of that voyeuristic tendency, but I belive being in those spaces where nudity is no big deal to anyone is having a positive effect on my overall mindset. Im already finding myself being more ambivalent around naked people, which is good because I don't like feeling like im being creepy when I sometimes can't seem to help but look.

DISCUSSION Southern NH and I finally got outside!

47 M here. Been an at home nudist for a number of years, but always wanted to get outside. I finally took the drive out to the ledges in VT (since there's really nowhere around here) and got naked outside! I'm instantly hooked. It's the ultimate recharge to just be in nature. Can't wait to go back!

BLOG New to Nudism

I just decided to start being a full time nudist here recently, and I’m having a great time so far! I currently just lounge around my house nude and don’t get dressed until I absolutely have to. It has been so freeing and relaxing. I’ve had many conversations with my wife and she is totally fine with it, but doesn’t think it is for her. However, I’m going to experiencing nudism to the fullest! I hope one day she would like to join me. I am so happy to have made this decision in my life!

QUESTION how do you carry on nudism into the winter?

I live in London and this summer we had crazy heatwaves where we really found nudism and it became almost full time, and of course I'm absolutely loving it and don't want to stop. However it's definitely starting to get colder here now so I'm wanting to put clothes on for warmth, but stay naked for comfort, how do you guys manage that?

DISCUSSION I've just booked a solo trip!

I have a week off in October that my girlfriend doesn't have off. I knew if I stayed at home I would just spend all week on the xbox and waste a week off so I've just booked a 5 night trip to Benidorm. I know Benidorms reputation as we have been there before but I was limited on destinations due to my local airport being on the smaller side. The reason I chose it is I found a nude beach cove just outside of town.

I'm really excited as this will be my first ever solo holiday and I can be naked on the beach every day (girlfriend isn't a nudist and will visit nude beaches but not every day). I've also looked into nude spas or saunas in the area but I can only find what appear to be seedy establishments, for example one didn't mention anything seedy but said the entrance fee included a beverage and a condom lol. So if you know of any legit nudist venues in benidorm please let me know.

TRIP REPORT āœˆļø First time report

I'm a single male and have been wanting to try a nudist place for awhile. Going alone always felt so daunting and given the stigma of single males it weighed heavily on my dream. I have been on another sub called nudist meetup and had a few positive conversations, got ghosted once, and people wanted a little more activity than just friends etc.

So one day about a month ago I see another more rare post from Wisconsin looking for a buddy to go to Valley View with. We chatted for weeks and after some confusion we made a day to meet up there. I was still leery given my past experience with being ghosted when it was time to meet. The morning of I was so anxious I could barely eat breakfast. I was more nervous getting in the car and driving there than I was when I got in the driveway of VVRC. I wasn't anxious or shaking as I thought I would be. I buzzed in and parked and wanted to get at least half naked since B who I was meeting with his wife E said the office workers are naked. In the middle of it the man at the office yelled to come over here first. šŸ˜‚ Then after figuring out which door to go into I got registered and paid.

B said he would probably be at the volleyball court with E. They weren't there. So after figuring out how to get in the pool area not realizing you walk through the bathroom I was looking around for where they were sitting since he told me what hats they were wearing. I didn't see them and was like oh no I was ghosted. Thankfully B jumped up out of the pool where he was with E. I took a few minutes and realized I forgot to shower so I did that, dried off, and put on my sunscreen and waited a few before getting in. I chatted with B for hours and hours. I chatted with E for a bit and she went and did her own thing for a bit and came back and chatted some more. Talked about life and the whole works. The bad part of the day was the pop up rain showers which cleared the pool and other people. It was just me and B after awhile until we both left which was nice as E left just before the rain.

The pool was amazing with the salt water. The other areas are more dated. The pool with the new liner is the best feature of the campground. I took an outside shower before I left as I always wanted to do that too. It was an amazing day I walked to and from my car naked without anything to cover myself. Walked around the pool naked. I'm still on a high after experiencing everything. I was always wondering what it would be like to meet someone naked and I met a wonderful couple completely naked. It was the most natural experience. I was so afraid of being aroused and nothing happened. I cannot wait to go again next year as they are closing for the season in two weeks.

DISCUSSION Am I the prude? - Nudity at others homes

I am relatively very new when it comes to nudism. (Only in the past few months) I've joined the sub to read about a lot of questions from others who are also new. And appreciate the sincerity the sub has when answering.

My girlfriend had experience only at her family's house. They had a pool and were/are very comfortable with swimming and tanning naked. But she has told me it was only that and never in public ever. But she has been more interested in trying it out such as clothing optional beaches. We have a couple pretty quiet ones near us we will go from time to time. Last semester she had a good schedule she could get away to one of the beaches for tanning between classes and work. Which she really likes going to for the sake of tanning.

Recently we were with a couple that we have been to that beach with. They are also kind of casual nudist. (Don't go often, but enjoy it occasionally. Which the wife only does topless.) They asked if we had gone recently, and my girlfriend shared how it was going to be tough because her classes were at a terrible time and she won't have much time but twice a week has like an hour and half during the middle of the day but probably won't have time to go there and back, and no time before work.

The wife told her that if she was worried about getting a tan in that she could use their pool during the when she had those gaps. (They live about 10 minutes from her campus)

She's shared with me she's excited that they offered up their pool and patio and how convenient it can be.

Here is where I feel like a prude. I want to tell her I'm uncomfortable with her going over there and essentially being naked around them. I want to trust that everyone is genuine but it is hard to for me. And I know the husband is in tech, and works from home often and the wife is a nurse and her schedule can change a lot. So potentially it could just be just her and him. Also her families house was/is more away from people and had space, this couple's back yard is really nice, but it feels like others could potentially see her.

I know she is a little bit more free spirited than I am with this topic. Should I share my feelings or is it unfair to tell her I don't want her to? And I also feel stupid because, this is all over like maybe 2 hours twice a week. I would appreciate perspective from maybe others where their spouses/SO pushed back? How did the conversation go?

Thanks for the feedback.

-TLDR, how common is nudity at other peoples home if they have offered if you want to.

VIDEO šŸŽ„ New Video: Corsica or Sardinia: Which is the Best Nude Island for You

Thumbnail
youtube.com
21 Upvotes

Sardinia and Corsica sit just 17 kilometres apart, and both are outstanding clothing-optional destinations in the Mediterranean, but they deliver completely different kinds of naturist holiday. Sardinia is all about wild, undeveloped nude beaches: Piscinas on the west coast is often called the biggest nude beach in Europe, with towering dunes and fine quartz sand, while Monti Russu in the north made Italy's list of ten most beautiful beaches and comes fully signposted as a nude beach. Corsica, a 50-minute ferry away, takes the opposite approach with a cluster of naturist resorts and campsites instead of scattered wild spots.

QUESTION Normalized Naturism in Movies/Literature

I know there are a few books out there and very few movies. I wish we could see more mainstream movies bring Naturism into a more nonchalant setting. Like a main character just working from home nude, or just coming out of the shower and not bothering to get dressed. I feel if mainstream made more movies and literature like this that it would normalize nudity in the minds of society.

Im so tired of movies using ā€œshockā€ nudity to enhance their numbers. ā€So and so actually got naked for this movieā€. Why can’t it be the main character just so happens to be a nudist and there is no shock value at all.

Show Naturism for what it really is. A wholesome practice for body and mind health. Seeing people drink gross wheat grassy shakes in the movies gives the impression that they care about their health. Showing a character that just feels like he can’t fully think unless he is comfortably nude.

DISCUSSION Naturism as a Therapy

I have found Naturism to help and be therapeutic in difficult times. I’m a survivor with CPTSD, and at times I feel overwhelmed. I have used many grounding techniques and found that, in an appropriate setting, losing the clothes helps calm me. it’s like I get into sensory overload and when it all comes off it’s like a big ā€œsighā€ and I feel more calm.

It started as being barefoot grounding. Feeling textures and temperatures under my feet helped bring me back into the present. one day I was feeling so overwhelmed and took it all off in the safety of my bedroom and just noticed the air on my skin and no rough material. it helped and I have worked it into my grounding techniques when I am able.

Being nude in nature is absolutely therapeutic and for me it has been a life saver.

QUESTION How to be naked in a non-nudist household?

I’ve recently discovered that I love being naked and basically try to wear the least amount of clothing necessary in a given situation. I discovered the joy of speedos a few summers ago, and they have been my primary swim suit ever since. Anyway. I live with my wife and teenage son who are not as excited about being naked. Those of you who might live in a non-nudist household, how do you navigate your nudity while still being respectful of your family? I don’t want to be nude in front of my teenager, but I also don’t necessarily want to keep it a secret either. Currently, I just try to be nude when everyone else is still in bed or when they are not home. I do keep a robe close by. I also sleep nude. Any tips for a newly naked person?

Update: Well, I’m currently sitting on the couch in the living room next to my wife after work. I am completely naked. She is not, but it’s a start. She says she’s fine with me being naked, though.

DISCUSSION Conflicted

I honestly didn't know if I was gonna post this, or if it belongs here. But this is something that's been on my mind for a while. It's probably gonna be long, or maybe it'll be shorter than I thought.

I've been sort of an on and off nudist since late 2023ish. I was semiactive on here (under a different username) and other nudist subreddits, joined a discord server, and tried to spend as much time as I could embracing that side of me. Come late 2024, I met my girlfriend. I should also mention that we're both currently in college and are in a long distance relationship.

When we first started dating, I told her that I was a nudist. At the time she didn't seem to mind that much. Granted, she seemed to be under the impression that I only did it on my own, which was technically true; any social nudism I did do was strictly online. Later on, I told her that I had an online friend who was also a nudist. Aside from some small questioning about how we met, she didn't seem to mind this that much.

Then about a month before my birthday, this friend offered to let me join them and some others on a trip to a beach over labor day weekend. I said I would love to, and I would tell my gf about it. Unfortunately, I procrastinated out of fear of how she would react. After she returned home from a trip to see me on my birthday and the day before I returned to school for my junior year, I told her about the trip. She got upset that I didn't tell her that I wanted to go, and she essentially told me that she didn't want me to do it. I got upset, and to be fair was kind of mean to her about it which is something I still regret deeply. We were able to reconcile and she said that after some time she might be more open to me doing some trip like that at some point.

At some point later, she told me that she watched a video about a young woman who was raised by "nudists" (I put that in quotes because they were clearly predatory and unsafe people) and who had some bad experiences at a nudist resort. When she told me about this, she said that she would never go to a place like that because they have kids there. And while I don't remember her saying outright, I got the sense she doesn't want me going to any resorts either. I tried to explain that most resorts have very strict policies regarding inappropriate behavior and make their guests pass background checks before they can go, but she stood her ground on her stance.

During this time, I left the discord server I was part of, and tried to put my nudist side behind me. Earlier this summer, I briefly joined another server, who consisted of some of my friends I had before. Around this time, I told her I might want to return to discord since I missed the people I was friends with through it. She dismissed it outright. She had heard some horror stories surrounding discord (which to be fair did sound horrible) and didn't want me to risk that. She also brought up how the fight we had had almost a year prior left a deep wound on us, especially her and it almost destroyed our relationship. She also brought up her disgust at the idea of nudist resorts that allow children. After that, I dropped the issue and both left the server and deleted my discord account.

It's been almost 3 months since this most recent incident, and I still think about it from time to time. I miss the friends that I met and really enjoyed talking to. At the same time I feel guilty about it because I didn't want to sacrifice my relationship for friendships with people I hadn't, and probably would never, met in person.

I need to clarify that I really love my girlfriend and there are lots of other things that we have in common outside of this. Before, I thought I could both have a relationship with her and embrace my nudist side. But now it's become clear to me that I have to prioritize her. I should also mention that she's gone through some fairly serious and traumatic experiences that I won't share here for the sake of her privacy. I want to be careful with how I approach those things moving forward because I dropped the ball on it so hard during our first fight I mentioned above. I don't want to leave her by any means, out of fear I'll be leaving her in a really bad position (without going into too much detail, her home life isn't the best and I'm basically her only relief from the stuff she goes through). I've also told her many times how much I love her and that I won't leave and I would hate myself forever if I did that to her.

I try not to think about this as I know it would ruin our relationship even more. I know I can't talk to her more about this, because we'll come right back to the fights that almost ruined our relationship.

TLDR: I feel like I have to give up on nudism because me and my gf got into disagreements over it that almost ruined our relationship.

DISCUSSION CMV: Non Sexual Nudity should be allowed on TikTok and insta

Thumbnail
35 Upvotes

I posted this to CMV and a common viewpoint people had against my view had to to with advertisers or with the people who own the platforms.

I feel like that it could due to wealthy people typically holding conservative views and viewing nudity as something sexual.

What do you think about the people who are against the viewpoint and my overall argument?

DISCUSSION No wonder Zoomers don’t like nudist institutions

I saw the post the other day and it made me think about how prudish the nudist consensus is right now. I can’t even say the S word, but I agree that nudist spaces should be totally neutral.

However they aren’t neutral when nudist clubs, resorts, etc. put quotas on male participation, or force you to bring a female to prove that you’re ā€œsafe.ā€ I think this is so jarring to Zoomer men who have their own loneliness problems and are far more introverted.

Zoomer guys aren’t gonna come up to you and say inappropriate things for the most part. They don’t want to gawk, they’ve seen more flesh online than Genghis Khan saw in his whole lifetime. Almost all the creeps I’ve seen are Gen X or boomer. People who spent their money at a ā€œgentlemanā€ club.

Zoomer men are so conscious about not making women feel uncomfortable that they don’t approach them under any circumstances in a lot of cases. I think nudism is one of those boomer dominated spaces that has a lot of antiquated norms. It’s kind of like an HOA, with some white boomer president writing bulletins that nobody cares about.

I think nudist spaces need to be more accommodating to young men who sincerely just want a space to sun their private areas. We just want to get healthy and feel free, but calling gender imbalances a ā€œsausage festā€ demonize us unjustly.

DISCUSSION FYI: This sub will kick those condoning or participating in predatory or illegal activities.

A recent post here referred to nudists as engaging in a body purity test. When reviewing that user's history, it was found that they made comments, in an exhibitionist sub, condoning non-consensual exposure. Specifically, they commented on a post made by someone flashing an unsuspecting woman on a train.

That is sexual assault. Period. That person has been banned from this subreddit and the post they commented on has been reported to Reddit admins.

While we support open discussion, keeping this community safe and non-predatory is our main priority. We understand that consenting adults have private sex lives, and discussing adult topics elsewhere on Reddit does not automatically break our rules here. What you post in other subreddits is largely your business unless it involves predatory, non-consensual, or illegal behavior. That is what we are against.

We take a hard stance against anyone who engages in, or otherwise glorifies or condones, predatory behavior anywhere on this platform. This includes:

  • Photographing, sharing, or making supportive, or glorifying, comments on images depicting sexual assault or non-consenting people.
  • Making comments or posts that condone or encourage sexual violence, assault, or the abuse of minors, family members, animals, or other abhorrent activities.

Our goal is to keep this subreddit a safe, friendly, and helpful space dedicated to nudism. If you ever see users condoning or engaging in predatory behavior, please report their posts directly or send us a message through Mod Mail so we can address it.

We care about this community and work hard to keep it safe and respectful. Mods here hope that our vigilance, and diligence to maintaining this place, shows in some way that we really do care for everyone participating here.

Thank you for reading, and thanks for being part of the sub. Be good to yourself and everyone around. Take care.
