Candidates for best HR robbery catches in O’s history by outfielders

I know everyone is basking in the afterglow of Cowser’s catch last night, and many are saying it immediately ranks #1 all-time in terms of O’s defensive plays by an outfielder (or even by any position, when considering the context/stakes). I think it might, and it also calls to mind other contenders when considering home run robberies. For me, the first couple that come to mind are:

2023, Cedric Mullins, @ Seattle: this might have even been a better catch, athletically, but it “only” saved the lead temporarily rather than ending the game (which he of course later won with his bat)

1992, Mike Devereaux, @OPACY: IIRC it was 8th inning, vs. Blue Jays in the midst of a pennant race, robbed Joe Carter of a go-ahead HR in a game the O’s held on to win. Was probably the highest vertical and farthest above the wall of any of these.

1997, Brady Anderson, @OPACY, Game 1 ALCS:
Wasn’t the most athletic of these or farthest over the wall, but was in the playoffs, and was followed up by a leadoff HR in the bottom of the inning.

What are others I’m forgetting? Where do you rank them all, when considering athletics of the catch (technical difficulty of making the catch), game stakes, season/playoff stakes, and any other metrics I’m not thinking of?

Opinion ESPN Baseball (Orioles?) Coverage is TRASH

Ever since I woke up this AM to finally witness one of the best and most consequential game-ending defensive plays I've ever seen - I searched for ESPN's coverage.

I found nothing in the first half of the day and quit looking. Just came across their video and it was JUST the play, JUST a replay of the Rockies coverage of the play. Are you shitting me? No Scotty VanP overlay? No conversation with any talent at all? And if you aren't gonna show BOTH the Os & Rockies coverage, ya chose the Rockies?!?!

Wtf happened to that network.

The claim of Robert today cost just under $5,000,000 (less than $6,000) for 25 games and hopefully some playoff games. He’s due just under $3,000,000 for those games plus a $2,000,000 buyout or a $20,000,000 club option. Plus, he’s over his injury and has hit .267 in August with 6 of his 10 HRs.

Bark Night 9/3 - Ticket advice?

Hi everyone!

My daughter and I severely messed up and bought the wrong tickets to Bark night at the O’s this Thursday. After calling the Orioles hotline, they said can’t switch our seats as they’re completely sold out!

Does anyone know if there’s any resale tickets for this event? I’m sure someone and their puppy has tickets and can no longer go. I’m so upset I didn’t find the promotion in the Ballpark app when we got the tickets 😢

Attached is our sweet Lola who is itching for a stadium hotdog!
