Answered What's the deal with people defending Lindsay Clancy?

1.0k Upvotes

I don't know the full details of the case. I know she allegedly killed her three kids. There was also some mental problems? Then something with her husband. But my question is why is there a group defending her like they know she's completely innocent? I've seen some videos of very heated debates where women are very passionate about defending her. Why?

Unanswered What's going on with beef or food imports / exports in the US?

https://finance.yahoo.com/economy/policy/articles/jbs-co-owner-lobbied-trump-005419130.html

Are cattle in states like Texas still suffering from the tapeworm epidemic?

You also had the cyclospora outbreak that apparently stemmed from a lettuce supplier of Taco Bell in Mexico, supposedly, and that Taylor Farms, this supplier, had lobbied the FDA to cut red tape for their checks or something?

Can someone break down for me what has been going on, especially with what this "mystery beef" news is (I'm from the UK and we don't always get this news, even in our current age of 24/7 news coverage)?

Unanswered What's going on with the court ruling that lets states regulate prediction markets as gambling?

CNN reports that a federal appeals court ruled states can regulate prediction markets as gambling, while platforms such as Kalshi have argued that their event contracts are federally regulated derivatives: https://www.cnn.com/2026/08/28/business/states-prediction-markets-gambling-federal-appeals-court

What changed legally? Does the ruling let each state ban these contracts outright, or does it mainly allow licensing, age limits, taxes, and other gambling rules?

https://x.com/TheProjectUnity/status/2028179414211567643?s=20 I remember back in late February/March seeing so much about Jim Carrey and his terrible face lift. Some people thought it was a hoax with a mask but I never really did see any sort of definitive answer. Did Jim Carrey really do that? Has he even been shown publicly since?

Answered What’s going on with Prince William vs Queen Camilla?

A relative of mine recently shared that there has been a lot of drama around Queen Camilla. Something about her being caught with jewels that were Diana’s and had been promised to her sons, that the locks were changed at her royal residence but that stuff was taken from it without permission, that she was trying to give property to her distant family. She went on and on. I know the king has cancer, so I can imagine folks are looking for signs of jostling for power.

Is this really going on or is it over exaggerated royal gossip? Here’s one of the links she sent me…she made it sound like it was a huge scandal brewing.

As I understand, Keke had a birthday party, Raven Simone’s wife criticized her for some of her guests, and it caused a big controversy and dividing opinions. Is this just manufactured drama? I don’t get what she did wrong?

I don't really follow domestic Canadian politics (I'm American, unfortunately), but I've seen this story come up in one of my Discord servers, and I'm wondering what's bringing this on. I did see stuff like the new leader having rumored ties to an Albertan separatist party, but I don't really see a full explainer about this situation.

Unanswered What’s up with all the adults getting happy meals?

I went to McDonald’s recently and noticed that most of the people getting happy meals were adults. Some even went back to argue to get a different toy before ordering more happy meals for more toys. I’ve also noticed two instances of grown-ups in the wild with take away happy meals.

Is it the current toys (hello Kitty x Godzilla) specially that are super popular with grown-ups right now? Or are adults with happy meals a long-standing phenomenon I’ve never noticed before?

Unanswered what’s the deal with the CBC’s classification of 9/11?

according to an internal memo, newscasters are not to use the words “terrorism” or “terrorist attacks” to describe the events of 9/11 during coverage. this apparently comes from a pre-existing policy that dates back to around the Oct. 7th attacks but it doesn’t give much more detail than that.

i highly doubt it’s due to any sort of political slant, as all of the publications covering the story tend to think (National Review, FOX, NY Post, yknow the drill)

so what’s the reasoning? is it because of advertising/sponsors like what happens on YouTube all the time? are they just trying to be extra cautious around such language? out of any example in contemporary history i would think 9/11 would be one of the most clear cut cases of terrorism, so i genuinely am trying to understand this.
