Is it possible to play the game but within my apartment (600 square ft)? I don’t really like to go outside but I want to play the game.

Is there some other way to get mega energy or am I going to have to do 2 raids every time?
On the go fest I only had to raid once to get the mega versions I thought.

I've felt more conflicted about playing pogo ever since I heard that the data was used to help military drones. How do you guys feel about it? Didn't the company that owns the game change tho?!

I just found it it spawned outside of my house and I bought it what do I do with it now? Can I fight with it?

Well, my 15-year old was transferring a bunch of Pokemon and accidentally transferred his Shiny Worlds Championship 2026 Pikachu he caught Sunday. He is distraught to say the least. We were busy with other stuff this weekend, so he only got to do a few raids Sunday night and got super lucky with the shiny (he only caught one WC26.) I want to try and help him, but I don't really know where to start.

I am new to the game, and have only been playing for a few months, but it is something we have been doing together to get outside over the summer and get a little walking in.

I think I understand the following about the game: 1) A transfer is permanent ... Shiny WC26 is gone. 2) This Pikachu was only available for the last few days of August 3) The shiny version was pretty rare 4) In theory you can trade them....but 5) You can only trade with friends locally.

To be clear, I am not asking to trade or to be friends, etc., but I am looking for advice on how to guide a 15yr old on how to find someone who could trade if they had a spare. We have gone to some events locally (he signed up through campfire??) but we never talked with anyone when we were there. Really is was just lots of people playing individually at the local open air mall.

Is this really worth the 3k coins. Side note I am planning to go with a group for raid this weekend. I already have 80 premium passes at the moment

I'm not sure if counterintuitive is the correct word, but I can't seem to understand the benefit of these changes to Mega Pokemon.

For context, I live in an area with a relatively big community. During big events at least, I'm never worried about there not being enough people around to handle any sort of raid or dynamax encounter, and the lobbies are always full. I understand that I'm fortunate in this and not everyone has the luxury of a large community, but based on how this game has billed itself,.I would say Niantic/Scopely wants us to play with as many other people as possible.

The 2 big benefits of Mega Pokemon is increased Candy Gain and Increased Damage. The candy boost is nice, but for all of the resources you have to put into get to Super Mega, unless you're spending money, the little extra boost doesn't seem worth it vs just going to lvl 3.

Things get even worse when we talk about the use case for Raid battles. Legendary Pokemon are obviously the most sought after objects in the game, and since the only way to get them is typically through raids, it puts their candy at a premium. But if I have 20 people fighting a raid boss, why would I use a mega pokemon that's not getting me extra candy instead of using something that's super effective?

There's some exceptions to this, like Mega Aerodactyl since it's super effective against flying and it gives you fly candy boost, but I don't see why I would ever use a mega for anything outside of a candy boost. This is made even sillier with Mega Mewtwo no ability to break an extra shield. That would be nice, if there weren't 19 other people here to break shields, so it's effectively worthless in most cases.

Again, I know not everyone isnt going to have access to full lobbies all the time, but to focus your game on playing with other people, but then making features that are completely nullified by playing with other people seems like bad game design.

This is probably a stupid question. I played in 2016 and I'm just came back last month because my son is now obsessed with pokemon, but....

How can you complete the new Go Pass Mega finale? I see 100 levels that require 100 points each, but it looks like you are capped at 1000 points a day for only a week. Again I'm sure this is a noob question but I was just wondering.

Don't bother with the Mega Finale Go Pass Deluxe. Increased shiny chances for first partner doesn't work. 13 Fennekin and not a single shiny... smh

Why are the walking quests or exploration always so inconsistent and inaccurate. You'd think after ten years they good do it right.

I do t understand why almost all the rewards are froakies with this background. Could they not have come up with different ones at least? What am I missing? Will I be needing these to get a mega at the end??

Ok so i paid for the deluxe pass and we're on the 4th day i am worried i won't be able to finished it. I am on 34 tier rn. I wanna save my remote raid for gengar and armoured mewtwo on sat, but i need to go use the remote raids now for go pass to get too 100 on the pass for max mega delphox.

So do i miss out on max super mega delphox or go for the armoured mewtwo and mega gengar. I only have 125 energy and one mega lvl unlocked for gengar. So much shit to focus on idek what to focus on.

Having a hard time deciding here 😭 pretty sure she’d be a 4* if I purified but I also heard that 3 star shadows are stronger as it is. Someone educate me lol

Is there a trick to catching this thing? I’ve never gone through so many ultra balls before, should I just use my masterball?

So I just got my first shiny and it has perfect IVs, is this just how everyone gets it (it was a spawn from the event pass) or was this actually lucky?

i always find myself deleting every potion but max, same with revives, and delete great balls. it be very useful to have it auto delete your selected items when spinning a pokestop, or when obtaining a reward.

I couldn't believe my eyes, just redownloaded the game after a friend told me there was a quest for hundo Mewto...

Maybe I'm in the minority maybe I'm not. Needless to say I highly dislike that scopley explore moved the daily adventure incense from the main screen locking deep within the bag. Like I said maybe I was the only one who liked it there, but I would like its return.

My 6-year-old has recently started getting really into Pokémon, which has honestly been pretty fun. He likes looking through my Pokémon, catching things, asking me which ones are good, and generally just being excited about the game.

So the other day, I handed him my phone and let him play Pokémon Go for a bit.

That was my first mistake.

A little while later, I discovered that my 6-year-old had apparently decided that a wild Rattata was an encounter worthy of the highest honor possible.

He used my Master Ball on a Rattata.

Not a Galarian bird. Not some rare Pokémon I was terrified would run. Not even something cool.

A Rattata.

I was devastated, but hey... he's six. He saw the coolest-looking Poké Ball and obviously thought, "Yeah, this rat deserves it."

So I laughed it off.

Then I kept looking.

That's when I discovered what he had done to my 4-star Shadow Lugia.

He purified it.

My perfect Shadow Lugia.

Gone.

At that point I just stared at my phone for a minute.

I didn't get mad at him. I didn't even say anything negative to him because, realistically, this is 100% on me. He's six years old. He doesn't understand IVs, shadows, Master Balls, rarity, or why his dad suddenly looks like he's just received terrible financial news.

To him, he caught a Pokémon with the coolest ball and then helped Lugia by making the scary purple smoke go away.

He probably thought he was absolutely crushing it.

And honestly, I'm glad he's getting into Pokémon. I want him to enjoy it, and the last thing I want to do is make him feel bad or scared to play because Dad got upset over some pixels on a screen.

But man...

A Master Ball on a Rattata AND a purified 4-star Shadow Lugia in the same session.

Anyway, my son is no longer allowed unsupervised access to Pokémon Go until he can explain to me what IVs are and provide a written justification for using a Master Ball.

Is it just me or is anyone else not having any showcases come up today?

Maybe I missed something is it because of all the mega raids this week they skipped it? Or am I just having really bad luck usually I find them all over the place
