we went to Pugapalooza in my city on Saturday. I didn’t know until the day before if i‘d get the day off so I didn’t have an elaborate costume like most participants, but I still put together Dolly the pug as Dolly Parton from 9 to 5 (the theme was blockbusters.) We made the front page of the digital edition of our newspaper which I was was both surprised and thrilled by. 😄

Every time I take my dog to the vet or groomer it is a whole ordeal her anxiety is through the roof and she is untamable. I’ve tried treats, soothing words, nothing helps. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Hi y’all! I have a pug who just had to go through an awful emergency corneal graft surgery. She poked her eye so deep it actually ruptured during the surgery. I’ve been beating myself up for not being able to protect her, I am so careful with her so this was a nightmare. Anyway, after the long recovery period she’s finally turned the corner and the graft is healed but I want to get her some eye protection wear for when we are out anywhere where there’s lots of bushes and stuff. The most common is the Rex Specs BUT after sending measurements and pictures to the company they said their goggles would not work for her with her face so the only other option that would work is something called Optivizor and they make them for flat faced dogs. Has anyone ever heard/seen/used these before? And if yes what did you think of them? Thanks 😊

Hello it’s getting really hot and my pug has been having some stomach issues. We took him to the vet and they said they can’t see anything wrong with him.

So basically what happens is he starts leaking poop as soon as he steps outside. It’s just a bit but it’s pretty consistent.

After 6 long years of infertility, we are finally expecting our first baby ! Since we will be new parents, I'm wondering if anyone could share their experiences with how their dog did with the new addition. Our boy is 4 years old and the sweetest little guy, but hasn't spent a ton of time with kids and none with babies. He gets VERY excited with new people and can be a lot, but he has 0 aggression and loves everyone. To say he is spoiled is an understatement lol, so I want to make sure he doesnt feel less loved when the baby arrives. Any input is appreciated! 🩷

I just can’t get enough of her

Not looking for medical advice just wanting to hear others experiences.

Our 10 year old (don’t tell me he’s a senior he’s just a baby to me!) had some concerning blood work so we took him to get tests ran. They told us his thyroid is low and they think he has atypical Addison’s (cortisol based). It’ll be 1-2 weeks before the drug needed for the test can be compounded to confirm.

Does anyone else have a pug with Addisons? How long have they had it? Has anyone had one with atypical Addisons that turned into normal Addisons (vet said that could happen)?

Look at how cute that pug is, he is actually the first black pug to win best of breed and he also won 3rd in Toy group 2026! It’s rare black pugs win anything so I was so happy! Nova still tried to beef with every dog in show.😆😆😆

Any suggestions on helping stop my pug from barking as my neighbor does heavy projects at 1:30-2:00 am in the morning on our shared fence line, which all bedrooms in my house face.
