La Grande Dame just announced she’s back to doing drag and she’s doing so by joining Le Filip’s talent agency.

So I've been wanting to do an extensive analysis on all the Drag Race reigns since I love numbers and comparisons, and I have never seen that pov been analyzed in here.
I did some work calculating all the lengths based on time of the crowning episode (which sometimes is not the last of the season) and then went into design and comparisons so the results look nice. Hope you enjoy this small analysis! The top 5 longest and shortest ones are at the end and honestly think the results are indeed wild (title is not clickbait I swear!)

- All of the dates were manually put by me and I live in a country where we use DD/MM/YYYY so apologies if any of them are wrong trying to adapt them.
- All calculations were manually done by me checking the date of crowning on either Wikipedia or the Drag Race Wiki and using a web app that calculates the amount of days between 2 dates.
- Graphs were also made by me on Canva and grabbing (hopefully) good pictures from every winner either from Google or their Insta accounts.

Alicia was a *true* force. Idk if it hit harder for me because I also grew up in the south but she really did that shit! Shuga Cain was brilliant. I saw her do a themed drag show at a comedy club before this show and her hosting skills were immaculate. Seeing how Shuga changed her performance between a club that holds 300 and a theater that holds 1300 was crazy. Never in my life did I think social tolerance would allow drag to get *this* big.

Poor Rita Baga, she was too stunned to speak. I mean, all she said was true but popping off like that, is wild.

First of all - HERSTORY
In the first seasons we had here and there a song-challenge where queens had to write a verse for a RuPaul song...
For example.. on Season 1 we had Bebe singing
"Face, face, face, I give face
Beauty face, you can't take? It's ok
Watch my body go insane"

On Season 5 we had "Can I get an amen?"

But I still remember that All Stars 2 and RPDR Season 9 were the first seasons to have their last maxi challenge to be a "write a verse"-challenge. The girls could just tour performing their songs and be fierce.

Then the UK seasons came along and the girl group challenges brought a new height to these songs. People were genuinely listening to these songs on their favorite music app.

And then BAM! We had too many seasons, to many franchises and too many songs to hear.

Then my question comes now.

QUESTION
Are there any songs from any franchise of Drag Race of the past 3 years that listened to and you thought... "Gurl, I want to listen to this again and again and again"?

My answer: I think the last year I saved Drag Race maxi challenge songs to my playlist was the year of "I'm in love..." (All Stars 5)

Just when I think I can't love Lawrence more. But for real, I'll never understand any artistic person or performer using generative AI for anything ever. Not only does it look awful and is always obviously AI slop, but it's stealing from other artists and is actively contributing to climate collapse. It's the antithesis of being an artist.

And this goes for Drag Race as well. Please stop using generative AI on the show.
