I am asking for information about where to find scholarships when you are already graduated highschool and is not in college or any other schooling and havent taken the act (yet).

I am studying for the ACT, i didnt take the ACT in highschool, i took the asvab.

I have checked the scholarship.com website, but when i do put in the fact that im NOT in school in ANY form or way it still gives me "must be in school" options which like 80% of them are. I want to give up, i am sick of it and tired. I barely got out of highschool alive. i have a 1.8 gpa, i want to do something with zoology, vet med, ecology and alike. This does Not mean farming and agriculture business. i am tired and irritated and want to give up...

Im looking to apply for UCC boarding school for grades 9-12 (im in 8th grade for context). I saw the fees are like 50-80k a year and my dad cant pay that much. Is it possible to get a scholarship to decrease the pay for all years(9-12). Any help is appreciated!

Hello, Im a college freshman and was given a 10k scholarship my senior year of high school. Both them and my high school advisor told me that they would contact me after. I have not received anything from the scholarship nor my advisor. Im stressing because the main reason I chose to go to my selected college was because of the scholarship giving me 5k for 2 years. I tried to contact them many times but to no avail and their phone number is always out of service. I contacted my financial aid office about the situation but I don’t think they have a lot of help for me. After being able to access my old school email after they deactivated it i checked for emails and nothing. I did notice on my application i did accidentally put the wrong college bc i missed one word but i included the correct name in my written responses and when giving me the award, they stated the correct university. I just need some advice, is it plausible that they give it to me next year at all, guessing they will probably miss this school year? And thats if they even pay any attention to the emails I have been sending all summer since I even received the award at my schools senior award night.

Hi everyone! I’m currently looking for any information about grants, scholarships, financial assistance programs, or other resources that could help me financially while I finish high school. I’m a high school senior in Florida and the child of a parent who is struggling with alcohol addiction and a very bad recovery which has really made things unlivable at home. I am an only child, and unfortunately the financial and emotional impact of that has made things at home bad. I’m trying to become more financially independent so that I can continue getting through high school without having to sacrifice my education or theater as that’s what i’m going to college for. I already have some scholarships
lined up from schools with offers for a technical theatre BFA but i’m worried that if i can’t support myself now, i won’t be able to get to go to college.

I’m specifically looking for opportunities that are available to high school students that can help with things like transportation, school supplies, technology, food, housing/basic living expenses, college preparation, or other costs associated with finishing high school. I (42F) am really interested in getting my PhD. I am a 100% disabled veteran and work part time in adult education. I have a bachelor’s in library science and a master’s in education.

I love school and learning and especially love research and writing. I’ve worked in all types of educational settings and believe I have a lot more to contribute to the educational field.

The problem is…I work in education. I’m a single parent and while I do okay with income, I certainly don’t have several thousands of extra dollars for school and books.

I’ve tried to find an adjunct position at a university on the side in hopes I can use benefits for further schooling but I haven’t had much luck. Any scholarships or grants out there? Benefits I’m not aware of? Everything I come across is for undergrad.

I’m seriously struggling with applying to scholarships and it takes me so long just to apply to one. I applied to 10 over the course of a year and I didn’t win a single one. I’ve seen people apply to 30 in one summer. Am I going about this the wrong way? How do you guys apply to so many scholarships and so quickly?

hi all so i’m currently a senior in highschool and i have really bad stats :( as in like a 2.8 uw gpa, a 1230 sat, 25 act and barely any volunteer hours and only like 2 ECS (none of which i’m really good at) i went through something really traumatising during highschool and i ended up into this pattern of not trying for school. i know it’s wayy too late but i really want to take back control of my life and not let this define me. I know it’s a stretch and a huge dream but my heart is set on a premed track. I believe i can do it if i pour all my time into it. senior year my grades are rapidly improving and i have all As unfortunately i’m taking the max amount of classes and i can’t do any more grade recovery. i’m a resident of arizona and my safety school is ASU because i can likely get a scholarship and commute to make it cheaper for my parents. I feel horrible that I let this get to this point and i wasted my highschool life. I really want to change my life and i’m retaking the sat in October and studying everyday for it. i know i probably will end up going to ASU and having to fully pay for it but does anyone know any programs or colleges i can get into with my stats? if it helps i do speech and debate and i ran a science based club for two years. are there any programs that would take me in wirh my stats or that maybe i could apply to? i can write really good essays and i’m good at research. is there any scholarships i can apply to? I'm a junior and I started applying to scholarships through Scholarship360, but I don't really think its that affective. I think I've applied to a total of 7-8 scholarships (not including ones where you just make an account). What are your best tips, tricks, or resources to help?

I’ve previously received scholarships - mostly relating to equity and community engagement. However, I have been wanting to apply for scholarships relating to academic excellence as I have been doing quite well in my undergraduate studies. I’ve also taken upon a few extracurriculars relating to do with voluntary research for a medical institution & another for a crisis help line.

I’m in the process of writing a new personal statement that is more tailored towards excellence scholarships. Are there any key points that I should be focusing on (aside from the obvious - like leadership skills etc) that I should be writing down? I have quite an interest in postgraduate studies and making a global impact is something that I’ve thought of writing about. Any tips would be appreciated :)

What are some scholarships for transfer students(I’m coming from Community College) please? The only ones I know off are the Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship and the Voyager one.

Hello. Our son’s, “tuition,” and all that includes is $80K/yr. We were very, very lucky and we’re very, very thankful for the nearly $45K he received in FA, with the majority of it, save $7K, in scholarships.

After orientation last Summer we thought we had it all figured out. The FA Director held a conference in which I attended. He informed us that the Parent Plus Loan was just increased to $20K/yr. What he didn’t mentioned was that Seniors are the only eligible students for this increase. As a Freshman, my son isn’t eligible nearly that much.

Our balance for the year now is $24K. We just made our first payment of almost $4K, but we’re expected to make another one in September, October, November, and December. This is absolutely not something we can do. We’ve tried every angle/option that both we and the FA Office suggested (they said, “get a private loan).

Again, I’m extremely grateful for the Scholarship that he did receive and don’t mean to sound ridiculous, but almost $4K/month isn’t manageable.

I know I can write an appeal letter, but does anyone else have any ideas, advice, tried and trues in securing additional funding? We don’t need the entire $25K. We’re looking for about $10K simply to make our monthly payments manageable.

I’ll be a high school senior this year and I’m looking at finding some scholarships as I cannot afford to pay for my college in full.

I’ve looked at scholarships.com and scholarshipowl and I haven’t had much luck with finding any that I have a shot at getting. I’ve been using bold.org and I’ve found a few, but not very many.

I’m fine with writing essays and I actually enjoy writing, so that is not a problem for me. I’m planning on going into forestry, and I will be getting my wildland firefighter red card later this year.

So, basically what I’m asking is if anyone knows of any websites that have legit, and maybe lesser known scholarships that I can apply for. Also, if there are any specifically for forestry/natural resources or firefighting, that would be awesome!
