Im looking to apply for UCC boarding school for grades 9-12 (im in 8th grade for context). I saw the fees are like 50-80k a year and my dad cant pay that much. Is it possible to get a scholarship to decrease the pay for all years(9-12). Any help is appreciated!

Hi everyone! I’m currently looking for any information about grants, scholarships, financial assistance programs, or other resources that could help me financially while I finish high school. I’m a high school senior in Florida and the child of a parent who is struggling with alcohol addiction and a very bad recovery which has really made things unlivable at home. I am an only child, and unfortunately the financial and emotional impact of that has made things at home bad. I’m trying to become more financially independent so that I can continue getting through high school without having to sacrifice my education or theater as that’s what i’m going to college for. I already have some scholarships
lined up from schools with offers for a technical theatre BFA but i’m worried that if i can’t support myself now, i won’t be able to get to go to college.

I’m specifically looking for opportunities that are available to high school students that can help with things like transportation, school supplies, technology, food, housing/basic living expenses, college preparation, or other costs associated with finishing high school. If you know of any scholarships, grants, foundations, community organizations, or other resources that I could apply for, I would really appreciate it if you could comment or message me with the information. Even if you’re not sure whether I’d qualify, I’d rather have the opportunity to look into it. I’m working hard to stay in school and build a future for myself, and any resources or leads you can point me toward would genuinely mean a lot. Hello, Im a college freshman and was given a 10k scholarship my senior year of high school. Both them and my high school advisor told me that they would contact me after. I have not received anything from the scholarship nor my advisor. Im stressing because the main reason I chose to go to my selected college was because of the scholarship giving me 5k for 2 years. I tried to contact them many times but to no avail and their phone number is always out of service. I contacted my financial aid office about the situation but I don’t think they have a lot of help for me. After being able to access my old school email after they deactivated it i checked for emails and nothing. I did notice on my application i did accidentally put the wrong college bc i missed one word but i included the correct name in my written responses and when giving me the award, they stated the correct university. I just need some advice, is it plausible that they give it to me next year at all, guessing they will probably miss this school year? And thats if they even pay any attention to the emails I have been sending all summer since I even received the award at my schools senior award night.
