Elder Care
My wife and I adopted Apollo 4.5 years ago. He turns 13 this week and has trouble getting up the stairs to the second floor where we live. Apollo weighs 70 lbs and has been getting Librela injections for several months. How have others in such a situation solved this dilemma?

Maeve is on Vacation
She loves the evening and early morning hikes in Southern Utah.
Sorry forgot the mandatory notice for Maeve posts: Maeve is overweight. Maeve has thyroid and metabolic problems that make it very difficult to lose weight. Maeve is on a vet prescribed diet, gets multi-day walks that are miles long, is in swimming, and hikes on the weekends when its not hot. As well as other exercises as we can.
We do all that we can to keep her from gaining weight. She has lost 20 lbs over the years, but it takes a lot of work and we try out best.

Advice for arthritic husky
My boy is 12 & has arthritis in his elbows.
The other day he got his rabies & (another vaccine, forgot the name atm), was all good til that night. I had to run out at night for a few hours & when I got back, he couldn't walk on one leg, kept holding it up. Limped badly, it clearly hurt a lot...
The only other time I saw him do this, he was playing with another dog & got hurt (got xrays, bones were not broke/fractured) soft tissue issue, got pain & inflammation meds at the time, & I had to help him walk to go out. So thinking maybe the vaccines created a temporary inflammatory response in his old body? Who knows, doesn't matter.
He's better now, but I have seen numerous ads for glucosamine supplements & far infrared wraps.
Has anyone used anything for a senior dog arthritis pain support actually work successfully??? Appreciate any information.
I feel like so many online products promise the world & end up being junk. Am open to supplements, herbs, etc. (preferably healthy, won't cause other issues, no side effects) , just want something that someone KNOWS worked for them, not a marketing promise. Thank you for your input.

Last Day at 5 years old
This gallant fella dropped into my world just over 4 years ago, just shy of his 2nd birthday. Tomorrow he’ll be 6! The time has flown by! He’s so sassy and such a good boy at the same time. Please wish Snow Monkey a very happy birthday!! 💝💕❣️
