On August 15th I ordered my first order from Tarantula cribs, it was 3 new enclosures for my 3 new babies i got, since then I’ve only received my receipt and any attempt to reach out has been met with no response, I’m perfectly fine with waiting but I’ve receive no word on shipment time or estimated delivery. Yes also all items were in stock when ordered. Is this normal? I’m so used to having that information readily available.

My Curly hair molted late last night into this morning. She was doing great but I can't tell if she is trapped behind her molt or still getting out of it. I'm worried as this modified burrow I bought her in might be trapping her. I intended to rehouse her the day before and then.. she decided to flip over. I tried to get a video of her behind what I think is the molt but its hard to tell. What should I do if anything? Will she work herself out?

Saw this little mutated puppy at a local Petco, listed as nhandu carapoensis. Grossly different appearance to the same species next to it. My heart went out though, as the enclosure looked deplorable.

So, naturally, after shopping for some feeders, I brought home a new friend.

Reverse image searching says its likely a brachyphelma boehmei (Mexican fireleg)

Anywho, im not an expert (yet) and would appreciate some feedback on likely species.

Good evening! I found this guy on Craigslist. The seller claims it's a Mexican red knee. I don't think it is. Anybody know what it is?

My a.avic just molted three days ago and she is very, very skinny. Her abdomen is much smaller than her carapace and I’m worried that she might starve. I know tarantulas can go without food for a long time, and I also know you shouldn’t feed them soon after a molt. I am not able to see her fangs clearly since she’s facing away but they don’t look white. Should I feed her or try waiting more?

Shiro molted several weeks ago and has finally opened his door and it looks like he’s been busy today. Caught him in the act. At least it isn’t going in the water… yet.

Would it be okay if i were to put in a tiny buddha or something like that in my tarantulas tank? he’s in a 12 gallon long and he likes to touch new things i put in his tank lol

This rehousing was almost just as easy as the first one. first it went straight for defense but then immediately gave up and refused to move at all when i brushed its legs. it finally moved when i changed the position of the tub cause some dirt fell on its legs and then it kind of just flopped in. I felt bad, but it seems fine. never kicked hairs once so that was cool.

2 successful rehouses down! hopefully many more to come over the years

hi guys!! i’ve had multiple jumpers in the past but this is my first T. i got her yesterday from a local reptile store and she is estimated to be about 5-7 years old. i set up her enclosure today and would love feedback!!!

should i add more substrate? less clutter? substrate is a mixture of reptisoil, ecoearth, some leaf litter, and spagnam moss. there is an extra layer of eco earth on top to make sure the top layer is dry. all plants are fake except for the leaf litter and moss.

the front left corner shell is her food dish but was thinking i could remove it when i’m not feeding her if that is recommended.

i took the picture before filling the waters, but i did add a smaller shell on the right for an extra water bowl since i was told they love to throw dirt in them😅 i can also remove if deemed unnecessary. the main water bowl is the grey one in the back left

So yesterday my C. Versicolor escaped from their enclosure due to it being a shitty one from Amazon (don’t worry this is being taken care of) and I was almost certain I wouldn’t find them bc they are a 0.5” sling but lo’ and behold when I came back from work today they were crawling along my bed frame. They are now safely back in an enclosure but WOOF that was a stressful 24 hours 😂

my new tarantula exploring his enclosure.. (he got really close to the lid and its not very securw im a bit worried and he also fell so hopefully he’s alright) Hes a brazilian pink bloom I thought they weren’t really arboreal😭

hi! i got a GBB sling a week ago and my original setup i had 2 hides and some aquarium plants. i posted him and got told they need higher anchor points. so i added some bark stacked up so its high, and im gonna go buy some better fake plants to be thicker. he hasnt been moving around much and he hasnt eaten anything so im super stressed out

my question is, if i keep rearranging his setup, is he gonna get stressed? i had a T a while ago, a chaco golden knee, and he was super chill. maybe im being too helicopter mom with my new T but i wanna make sure hes happy. thank you!

My sweet Asmodeus escaped from their enclosure either late last night or early this morning. They were able to pry open the feeding cap on the top of their home. I found the top on the floor and immediately searched for them with no avail. Is there hope I'll find them? Freaking out rn. I've never had a T escape before
